BP Totty, your boring shopping spree reminds me of one day when I was in a store where most men wouldn’t come in there with their wives.

I saw a, well, unfortunate couple there and the husband was telling his wife loud enough for others to hear,

“Why am I the only husband to attend to all your shopping needs. Look around, there are no men here only myself!”. He told her next time she should take money from him and go herself.

It was very sad. She just can’t make ANY decision herself.

    Whatru-

    Thanks! I like #1 and #5 best.

Brooklyn bridge is beautiful. We do that sometimes.

And I still love to just sit in the car and ride around! (And shmooze!)

    I do live in brooklyn.

Chesedname- that’s beautiful but I do find that you need some smaller outings more often than that.

Sac- I think of that idea pretty often. But I can’t decide if it pays to spend $$ on a hotel room and stay in the busy city life.

To me, a hotel vacation belongs far from home with a change of scenery!

Shlomozalmen- while our definition of love is different than the goyim, we definitely have a concept of love in the Torah. If you fail to understand that, then please don’t get married until you seek help.

There’s a reason why children are born through love and intimate relationships and they just don’t grow on trees!

And that reason is because a couple has to have true love.

Ask any rav or mentor if you don’t trust me.

Shlomozalman- your way of thinking is a bit off.

No one gets married for the sake of having children. Even couples that have a family of 10+ kids still need a beautiful relationship in which they really love each others.

Sac, if he did that to you, then you should be happy you aren’t married to him. His betrayal wouldn’t end there.

I’m sure that was very difficult for you though.

Frumlady- do you know this or are you imagining that these are her thoughts?

Because some people just take favors without caring. They absolutely have zero feelings of gratitude and have no problem taking advantage of others. They think the whole world owes them everything.

Unfortunately, I know many such people.

You should try to think very hard why you are scared to refuse her. Once you know the reason, you’ll be able to help yourself.

I was told by member Chofetz Chaim that his name takes you to a direct CR search link.

I always find him in the dvar torah thread and click on his name.

    Works great for me!

Chesed begins at home. You’re not supposed to kill yourself for her because she doesn’t seem THAT helpless. You are definitely being manipulated.

She is taking advantage of you and you should only do for her what you seriously feel like doing for her.

Oh how I HATE when people take advantage.

Pascha- I do take vitamin D supplements though I’m long past my teens!

I’m just wondering about what you said that canker sores are a sign that the body is worn out. Do you know this as a fact? Is it possible there’s some allergy that triggers it?

Because I only started having them in the past year but I’m not exceptionally stressed. Maybe just very very tired!
