Different diets work for different people. There is no one way to lose weight.

However, starving yourself, as Aries already mentioned, only shuts down your metabolism and is very unhealthy in the long run.

WIY- NOTHING is wrong with your post. Everything is true.

HOWEVER, it was said at the wrong time, to the wrong person.

MOd- do you also find some members to be a lot more rude and accusing than the CR is used to ?

The CR always had such a pleasant atmosphere, and lately it’s more like shouting and debating each others all the time.

    Shlomozalmen-

Dr tells us we gotta do it since our baby keeps getting ear infections. Did anyone here ever have this done on a child? Were a bit nervous.

I don’t see the OP asking for medical advice here. It’s ONLY a discussion.

Go to another dr and DONT do it before that.

    The child might outgrow it.

There’s one very popular ENT in Brooklyn who tells anyone that walks into his office,”tubes!”

I hope you didn’t hear it from him.

Go to a good ent for a second opinion.

    Trying-

Aha, so Kodesh translates into greeting my fellow Jew.

    I know nothing about that.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s beautiful, but I don’t see why people think BP is crazy because we don’t greet, however those same people only greet on Shabbos.

    Decide- either greet or don’t!

WIY- for the future, take mine and many other’s advice:

When someone wants you to listen, you just listen and feel what they’re feeling. If they didn’t ask for your help then they DONT WANT IT.

Mish Dich Arois….(If you need translation, ask.)

It’s ok, you learnt it the hard way, but it will take you very far in life.

Anyone else feels like we’re rehearsing threads from long ago??

Anyway, can someone explain to me what the point is in saying Good Shabbos when you don’t greet everyone every day? Why is Shabbos different than every morning and afternoon that it became official to greet?

Today I found a quarter on the ground and ignored it. a neighbor passed and asked me why I don’t pick up the quarter. So I did and gave it to my little son!

I guess Hashem wanted to show me that he will make me do something even if a few hours ago I said I don’t pick up pennies from the floor!

Maybe mods should not moderate for a full day, no editing at all, and then we’ll all see for ourselves if it’s necessary to have such strict moderation.

Aries- When I meet people who jump to conclusions, I view them as VERY narrowminded and not too bright.

If they can’t understand that we each have our own Derech in Avodas Hashem, and we each try to do our best, then they are missing some sensitivity and Sechel.

If you would realize that, then you would see them as fools and you wouldn’t be so sensitive to their comments.

(Of course that incident on that Erev Shabbos was extreme and I would also stick up for myself since an entire site was shaming and blaming you falsely. But some individuals here really shouldn’t move you.)

Waiting – I’m assuming you don’t wear a Sheitel then because you’re talking against it. I hope you’re not a hypocrite.

I believe a Sheitel is Muttar as long as it’s NORMAL. But don’t fool yourself that your Sheitel is Tznius when it really looks like hair.

Aries- I always wonder why you take these posts so personal.

When I dislike a poster’s comment, I skip over it.

If you think a poster is wrong or offensive, why bother? You will not change them.

For all you know some posters you are upset at are 15 year olds with no life experience or others might just be not so very bright(no offense to any specific poster here please.)

If you really think you’re doing the right thing, then you shouldn’t let other poster shake you. This goes to all posters here.

Take a good Teflon pot. Place chicken bottoms, with the skin, upside down into the pot.

Let cook on small flame for 2 hrs until the chicken becomes all crispy and golden on top.

You must however keep watching it that there should be some water left. First let it cook in its own water. When that dries out, add some water but not too much and keeep watching it.

Murder and stealing are definitely common sense, besides that the Torah teaches it to us.

These two hurt the person, and I think many people would refrain from it even though we wouldn’t be commanded by Hashem to do that.
