Canine- I do. But BP is not my limit.
smartcookieMemberSomeone please explain HOW you can live in one house with a cat or dog? I can’t even walk past them outdoors!
I understand you get attached to them. But how? And why?
smartcookieMemberThe OP is 100 percent right. Boys and adults are putting themselves into danger. There was a Yungerman who passed away two years ago on purim after damaging his liver from too much alcohol.
IT IS NOT A JOKE.
smartcookieMemberGet married and have children! They make sure you’re up with the first rays of the sun!
smartcookieMemberUnderstand- yes I’m serious. But we all have different feeling and I guess you don’t mind it. See ya at the gym! Now I’ll know whom to look out for!
smartcookieMemberWolf is NOT Canine no way. Opposites attract maybe that’s why you think they’re one.
smartcookieMemberLaer- she DEFINITELY left her swim suit home because NOBODY swims fully clothed indoors, especially when they sell these Tznius bathing suits by now.
February 25, 2011 2:34 pm at 2:34 pm in reply to: Light /Dark loaf type Bilkelech served at Ateres Chynka- YUM! #744264smartcookieMemberSushi- when brushing with an egg, it also gives the Challah a nice shine when baked.
Cherry- it’s so simple! After brushing the egg, you sprinkle sesame seeds in some spots, and poppy seeds in the other spots, according to your liking!
smartcookieMemberI wear a skirt to the gym, but with leggings underneath. I just need that skirt coverup to hide my not so skinny body!
It nauseates me when woman wear plain leggings and they’re more than size 6.
smartcookieMemberObserv- I think it depends if it’s through busy streets where people can look into your car anytime, or if it’s through small empty streets.
The point is that people don’t know that this might be a BIG problem in Yichud.
smartcookieMemberI live in an elevator bldg. I constantly ride with men. It’s not Yichud because it can anytime open at ANY floor if a neighbor on any floor rang for it.
Anyway- riding in a car late at night with a man (dating), has a biggur Shailoh in Yichud than elevators.

Guy- you can add cocoa to the dough too.
February 25, 2011 12:44 am at 12:44 am in reply to: Light /Dark loaf type Bilkelech served at Ateres Chynka- YUM! #744256smartcookieMemberYes cherrybim. They make it by adding a bit of cocoa into the dough. My mother in law did it for yom tov. It looks nicer than it is!
February 24, 2011 3:39 pm at 3:39 pm in reply to: Light /Dark loaf type Bilkelech served at Ateres Chynka- YUM! #744252smartcookieMemberI think Weiss bakery in BP and Strauss bakery have them.
smartcookieMemberMy husband and I happen to be third cousins. Whichever professional we asked about any medical issues involved said, third cousins? No problem!
February 20, 2011 8:52 pm at 8:52 pm in reply to: Rov, Rebbi, Teacher, Principal, Kiruv Person, Therapist, Life Coach, etc.? #758862smartcookieMemberOfcourse- you aint gotta be too brilliant to figure that out. Nobody can be helped if they don’t want to help themselves.
smartcookieMemberi dont think anyone gets divorced after 60 year
Chayav- I actually know of 2, over 60 year old woman who very recently left their abusive husbands. They waited it out until they married off their kids.
February 20, 2011 7:29 pm at 7:29 pm in reply to: Rov, Rebbi, Teacher, Principal, Kiruv Person, Therapist, Life Coach, etc.? #758859smartcookieMemberThe person definitely has to change himself. But sometimes it’s good to have a mentor to guide him and open his mind in the right direction.
I personally, like to learn from my own experiences, or experiences from close family/friends, rather than professionals.
smartcookieMemberAries- it should make us dance for Simcha that we’re all alive and well B”H to tell our stories!
smartcookieMemberCB1- oh my! Were you my neighbor at that point?!
We also had a house fire at 4am. It’s unbelievable and traumaticing.
smartcookieMemberBut his Bubby playing is so fake. I think that’s what bothers me. I absolutely HATE corny jokes.
He’s definitely getting his attention though!
smartcookieMemberObservant- he’ll come on soon and write something about being Bubby. It’s so dumb, I doono why it irks me…
smartcookieMemberTums- nobody based oe started the marriage with those thoughts. It’s just my own thoughts I shared with you! Anyway, If you marry someone THAT close, you gotta think all around it. Of course we only try to stay with positive thoughts (and Tefillos!)
smartcookieMemberPascha- your comment was definitely lacking Chochma. I would not even talk like this as a joke.
Al Tiftach Peh Lsatan.
When it comes to THIS discussion, the more appropriate line is one I saw some years ago on an Israeli anti-smoking poster. It said… Al Tiftach Peh l’SARTAN! – YW Mod.
smartcookieMemberWell, from his English, and his style, he’s a boy! Not even worth discussing!
smartcookieMemberCb1- night or day?
smartcookieMemberTums- about 19. It was very interesting.
The Wedding consisted of only one side! One family of Mechatunim! The kallah grew up with her new family and didn’t have to get to know them!
How boring!
I personally cannot understand wht happens if such a marriage doesn’t work out Chas Vsholom.
February 20, 2011 7:09 am at 7:09 am in reply to: fantasy amount of kids/ boy/girl ratio etc. #742477smartcookieMemberWhatisleft- I heard it with 7 boys.
smartcookieMemberHes/shes a child. That’s obvious.
smartcookieMemberNow, who was ever in a burning building?
smartcookieMemberYes, I was. B”H we’re all ok!
smartcookieMemberMy cousin married his neice. Now THAT was weird!
smartcookieMemberZeeskite- eclipse is approx in her high 30s, if not yet 40.
smartcookieMemberZeeskite- did you adopt Eclipse’s roll by opening new threads? 🙂
smartcookieMemberSister bear- its ok for children to see the notes. They learn how to treat their spouse.
smartcookieMemberI think it’s a bit of immaturity. Most adults wouldn’t want private messages from their spouse to become public.
smartcookieMemberGoq? Goq? This thread’s for you!!
Lack of sleep for me(which is the usual), is BAD BAD BAD.
It sometimes brings out the worst of me which I didn’t even know exists….
February 18, 2011 3:11 pm at 3:11 pm in reply to: How Many Grandchildren Do You Hope To Have? #741914smartcookieMemberAs many as Hashem will give me. I hope they’ll all be healthy and Ehrliche Yidden.
smartcookieMemberCocacola- my kids watch Uncle Moishy. Terrible, huh?
February 18, 2011 4:09 am at 4:09 am in reply to: Information Verification is Vital BEFORE Dating #769517smartcookieMemberI would ask my rav if I’m supposed to give this info to the girl. I imagine it is Assur if it really isn’t Shayach today anymore and he’s a goos person now.
I guess each case should be judged individually.
Sometimes it’s not important to reveal something, and sometimes there’s divorce because something was hidden from either spouse.
smartcookieMemberPlease! Learn what it is before getting on to it. It’s Youth CORP.
smartcookieMemberCanine- you’re 71. You’re past understanding these things already.
February 18, 2011 12:41 am at 12:41 am in reply to: Information Verification is Vital BEFORE Dating #769515smartcookieMemberAries- it depends A LOT how many years later it is and if he REALLY settled well.
smartcookieMemberthank you for not getting defensive and for listening thoughtfully to those here that did not fully agree with you.
Oh yeah! You can say that again! Doesn’t happen too often here!
smartcookieMemberIt’s expensive and very sweet!
smartcookieMemberSssshhh let him sleep 🙂
smartcookieMemberAnd BTW, I always thought you’re a young teenager, and a boy at that!
smartcookieMemberOf course, you hve to understand, that in most Shuls, Megillah is a time you hve to come early and CATCH a seat(bec so many woman are there).
These girls were definitely acting without much mentchlichkeit, but you gotta realize that they couldve come an hour early to get a seat.
smartcookieMemberPeerim- covering a duaghter’s head when bentching her has nothing to do with Tnius. We do it because touching the scalp can make the father’s hand Tamah (as you mentioned above).
February 17, 2011 7:51 pm at 7:51 pm in reply to: Information Verification is Vital BEFORE Dating #769513smartcookieMemberAries- I’m not sure how to answer that. I think I would ask my Rav if I should say the info or just try to cover up and discourage the Shidduch in some other way.
If the Shidduch would be very close, I would MAKE SURE they know such an important detail before they close on it. (Obviously, only if allowed according to Halacha)
