Msseeker- your post couldn’t be more wrong!
I, As a Chassidish woman, came across many BTs and even some Gerim/geroyes who joined our circle and community.
Some people do like Chassidim after all….
smartcookieMemberOhyeah- putting them to sleep on a full stomach does NOT mean they’ll sleep through.
Some babies do, some babies don’t. No rule.
I have an idea! Try a cup with a regular straw! My baby loves to drink like that.
smartcookieMemberDeiya! Sorry- hope you’re not offended but my eyes hurt!
Are you posting from a computer or phone?
smartcookieMemberDeiyez- PLEASE use spellcheck!!
smartcookieMemberDeiyez- please use spellcheck!
smartcookieMemberDeiyez- PLEASE use spellcheck!
smartcookieMemberFeed him regular healthy foods and give him to drink in a cup.
Try a sippy cup so he can drink by himself.
Did you try all different types of bottles and nipples? I had this with one of my babies and I tried every bottle under the sun until he finally drank from one!(Avent)
Hatzlacha. Having been there, I feel for you.
smartcookieMemberI think the Ezra Lmarpeh office here might be able to help you. I do not have their phone # though.
smartcookieMemberYaff- now THAT’S a solution to the Shidduch crisis! Easier said than done!
smartcookieMemberI was told not to use it. But I guess you should feed your baby what you would eat (Kashrus-wise).
I also used Materna for my babies.
smartcookieMemberShlishi- I hope you didn’t take my post seriously….
smartcookieMemberWhy date at all? Let the father come home one nice day and tell his daughter that she’s engaged to a fine young man he met….
smartcookieMemberSkip it. Any other food you cn think of tastes better than that.
smartcookieMemberDY- tired and exhausted!
smartcookieMemberI think you’re talking Loshon Hora on your fellow Jews…
smartcookieMemberJust wondering why you opened 2 similar threads?
smartcookieMemberI started using A&B Kishke(the gefilte fish brand).
It’s the best ane gives my cholent a delicious taste.
smartcookieMemberWolf- neither to I buy flowers every Shabbos. Only sometimes!
(Maybe I should start…)
March 4, 2011 5:46 am at 5:46 am in reply to: I feel like I had some part in this Shidduch…. #746743smartcookieMemberI agree with RB. It’s either you be them Mochel totally, or tell them outright that you expect some compensation. This is serious stuff.
smartcookieMemberWolf no way did I criticize you. If you do what’s good for you, then it’s also good for me!
You just mentioned money so I said that you will get repaid!
smartcookieMemberHey peanut butter- missed ya! (Besides if ur under another screen name!)
smartcookieMemberSo there you go Wolf- everyone has different things that make their Shabbos more beautiful. For me flowers are for Kvod Shabbos only.
smartcookieMemberSure, doesn’t the world end in Brooklyn?
smartcookieMemberStickynote- are you related to Chayavinish?
smartcookieMemberAnd have telephone reception so that we can get emergency phone calls if necessary.
I don’t understand why every hall can’t have that.
smartcookieMemberFlowers? are purely to make a beautiful shabbos table. It makes me feel good because my house looks calm and shabbosdig. That’s called Hanaoh Lkovod Shabbos. An armani suit is more for others to see how beautiful you look.
Can’t really explain it, but there’s a huge difference between the two.
(And btw, we do wear special beautiful Shabbos clothes. But the Shabbos doesn’t really care if your suit cost $50 or $500!)
smartcookieMemberRB- I think there’s a posuk about it. But it’s only things Lkovod Shabbos that I get paid back for. An armani suit is more Lkovod your own pride!
smartcookieMemberWolf- you do know that for anything you buy Lkovod Shabbos, Hashem pays you back double…
smartcookieMemberVitamin c
March 3, 2011 3:40 pm at 3:40 pm in reply to: Did anybody see the anti-semetic Christian Dior designer? #746710smartcookieMemberI don’t know why you’re all so impressed that he was fired. They fired him because they are terrified it will ruin their business. Not because they love us.
They’re all screaming anti semitism inside.
smartcookieMemberHey Eclipse! Good to hear from you! Deja vu!
smartcookieMemberDeiyez- Is there anyone who actually hates flowers?
smartcookieMemberBpt- howdya read my mind. I miss Blinky and was wondering if she disappeared for good.
smartcookieMemberDaas- heh heh!
C’mon, the cheating days are only if I have something crazy good to eat which I can’t resist (like choco!).
smartcookieMemberMbachur- those puns were awesome!
Daas- I luv the slave one. Did you MASTER it all by youself?
smartcookieMemberAbout 10 Years ago, I trained myself not to eat at night. It was extremely difficult. Some nights I went to sleep very hungry, but I didn’t give up. (Once you sleep you forget!)
By now, not eating at night comes so natural to me, that I don’t even think twice about it. I can’t even look at someone who eats late at night!! I do cheat here and there, but overall, I have no urge to eat after supper.
(And I’m still 20 lbs overweight :()
smartcookieMemberHakatan- I had the same thoughts about the parking lot.
Why doesn’t the Shul close off the parking lot for Shabbos? It will make people think twice before driving there.
smartcookieMemberThanks, Daas Yochid! We really are having so much PUN!
smartcookieMemberSjs- I always say that! Having a boy is a major pressure. The Bris adds so much emotional stress for the mother! Having a girl was a breeze! But B”H! Abi Gezunt!
Canine- your post is quite senseless.
smartcookieMemberSo Yossi think of it as you did a Chesed to a girl tonight by giving her a chance!
smartcookieMemberRB- I’m a pro in Yiddish! However, I think the word is Mutcha.
smartcookieMemberwell remeber every date is a learning experience!
….And a step closer to the right one!
smartcookieMemberI can be male/female/single/married/80yr old/12year old.
You’ll NEVER know the truth in anyones identity here even if they’ll swear to you. That’s online chatting, and if it bothers you, don’t chat!
smartcookieMemberMutcher? Mutchering?
smartcookieMemberThanks for starting this thread! It is SEW entertaining!
smartcookieMemberMbachur and observant- mazel tov! A new neice/nephew is always exciting!
Now, I have a Shidduch to suggest for the newborns 😉
smartcookieMemberPoppa- there’s a difference in becoming drunk and acting crazy, or becoming a little lightheaded.
smartcookieMemberCB1- I would think that the family says “aneurism”, to cover up the real reason. I don’t blame them.
Canine- when you sleep, you can also be mekayem ad dlo yodo. Or you can bang your head in the wall several times. People choose to follow what they want to do.
smartcookieMemberMy husband became drunk one year. It was a nightmare. It is definitely NOT what the Torah asks from us. He never did it again B”H.
smartcookieMemberOk I’ll accept that these people are new to our community, and they’re learning about Yiddishkeit, and aren’t up to giving up their car for a day. That would make sense. Thanks to whoever suggested that. I HOPE that is the truth.
