It’s a nice cute marketing ploy, but not much else. I don’t think anyone will react with sadness towards the fact that a becher they know will be smashed gets smashed and there won’t be any super attachment to it in the first place. Even if that were the case, It would still not affect his thoughts about the Mikdash, Only his Becher. It’s not a problem, It’s just not any better or worse than any other Becher

why not? not saying you are wrong but besides feeling uncomfortable with the sound of it, or being nervous about what friends or family will say, why not consider it for everyone? if you dont want to look into a chassidishe shidduch when you are young, ok, i hear. but once a single is getting older who cares about comfort zones ? i’m not saying get married to someone who is incompatible in the hopes that i will work out, but in cases like the ones i describe, which i believe are the majority, why not? THE ones having the issues are the ones litvish girls WOULD feel comfortable with!

different obligations definitely. men have an obligation to daven with a minyan, woman don’t. woman have an obligation to keep other mitzvos which don’t apply to men . my only question is, what do you mean by “rights”?

do you mean on the socio-political level? or on the judaism-halacha-hashkafa level?

it is DEFINITELY not acceptable, but you need to approach this issue with tact. first of all, you should be discussing this issue with your wife. make sure not to come across as if you are angry at her or don’t consider her relationship with her parents as important. then either you or your beloved wife should talk with your in-laws and respectfully explain that as a newly married (or not newly married, my DW and i had an issue with parents when our child was born and well meaning and excited grandparents did not understand our need for privacy) couple , privacy and space to build a relationship is needed and that a system should be made in regards to A) times they could visit you or B) times you could visit them. a phone call where you dont feel forced to say yes to a request to visit is a definite, as is your expression of gratitude to your mother-in-law (whether deserved or undeserved-it’s the accolade that counts) for raising your wife and for wanting to visit etc …

Also important is to ask someones advice, a rebbe or chosson teacher, to figure out the best way to resolve the issue. and if you don’t have one, get one now
