Common Sense, do you see anywhere here people complaining about BYBP asking for money?? I think you are missing the boat on this post. You say that we should “find out how to help”. You cant help a ship that just caused its captain to jump overboard.
Besides for being that great and caring person we all know Rabbi Shapiro is, he was also personally responsible for bringing in millions of dollars in programs and donations. Just the voucher program alone which he brought to the school has brought in over 30-40 million dollars over the years.
And to Of Course, seriously??
I was totally shocked by this news! If I am correct, I think Rabbi Shapiro has been running BYBP for about 30 years. I am sure that he shows the same care and devotion with each parent and child as he does with my kids that are there now.
It was always a pleasure dealing with him and he is definitely irreplaceable.
My wife and I have already begun looking into other schools to send our children to next year. If a school can manage to lose its most valuable asset, that is not the place for my children.
Shame on the Board of BYBP and anyone else who was involved with causing him to make this decision to leave.
It is a CD of a live performance in Israel a few months ago. At the concert he sang alot of his old songs and two new ones.

Totally not dissing!! He has an amazing voice and noone can argue that. I was just saying that you would be buying a cd that has him singing his old songs, just live. Just pop in his old CD and you will enjoy it the same!!
By the way, most of the songs on the Acheinu CD are composed by Yochanon Shapiro who also composed Shwekeys Im Eshkocheich. And that song happened to have become Shwekeys most popular song….
The CD and DVD are in stores. The DVD happens to be a beautiful production and is probably worth buying.
However, it is almost all his old songs, so buying it on CD would be pretty pointless.
I would suggest the new Acheinu 3 CD, which from what I hear will be in stores later today (Thursday)…
