April 1, 2012 1:22 am at 1:22 am in reply to: Are these young women nuts, selfish, out of it or something else? #865125shuliParticipant
what a conversation! thats so true. i make sure to always say youre welcome to someone who didnt say anything. i even say thank you to automatic doors. (im weird in that way…) hardly do i get a thank you or a smile or even a nod when i hold a door open, or do a faavor for someone else.
i have realized this IS something to do with the person’s upbringing. Chassidish women who look down on me will NOT acknowledge my presence. but the spanish and african amricans i work with say thanks and good morning and smiles.
can we explain this?
shuliParticipantwow! thank you for posting!
if anyone doesnt want their new 6th gen, ill gladly take them. thank you
shuliParticipantone of my favorite diets?
the garlic diet.
eat everything you want, but anything you eat must be smothered in garlic.
drinking water come naturally with this plan, and you will soon find eating isnt as enjoyable as it used to be.
hatzlocha!
shuliParticipantninconpoop!! i remeber my bus driver calling me that!
shuliParticipanti feel the same way. i dont really have time to just hang out on here, but when i do i like to read about some topics here. i dont usually post, but i love to just read:)
shuliParticipantchinese people are wonderful! if not for them, what would you call your good plates?
shuliParticipantlmho-similar, but laffin my head off:)
January 8, 2012 8:13 pm at 8:13 pm in reply to: Girls High School Curriculum: Maybe all the schools need to do this #870019shuliParticipanti agree with what you are saying how it is a huge waste of time, learning to make apples into swans is ridiculous, but learning to check vegetables is an important part of being a cook.
i would love to learn to do that
January 8, 2012 4:47 am at 4:47 am in reply to: Girls High School Curriculum: Maybe all the schools need to do this #870015shuliParticipanttests??? that is retarded!!
January 8, 2012 2:32 am at 2:32 am in reply to: Very disturbing, please only kind people read. #842269shuliParticipanti second the motion.u MUST do something. you cannot let your husband, who u must admit is abusve, abuse your kids. call shalom task force, or your rav….just get yourself away from him!
January 8, 2012 1:07 am at 1:07 am in reply to: Very disturbing, please only kind people read. #842251shuliParticipantwow, always, your story is very, very sad and terrible. i am sincerley sorry and i hope everything works out for you this is not a situation where he is just losing his temper, and you should NOT be afraid to do something. this is WRONG, and you have to tell someone. be it your rabbi/rebbetzin/good friend, whoever etc. and get some help.
shuliParticipantso not fair there isnt snow this year…we have to remind mother nature that it is February..
shuliParticipantoomis, wow what encouragement…

January 7, 2012 11:37 pm at 11:37 pm in reply to: Girls High School Curriculum: Maybe all the schools need to do this #870011shuliParticipantwow! lucky girls! i wish my school would do that! but in my school, we have to learn for the New York regents, and therefore have no time for extra curricular things like that. although that would be fun..
January 3, 2012 12:35 am at 12:35 am in reply to: "Where Are the Men"-Article in last week's Mishpacha #844399shuliParticipanti agree with treble. women/girls take it very personally.
shuliParticipantthat is pretty embarrassing…feel better!
shuliParticipantdont. makes you sound like a showoff. to me at least
shuliParticipantsame problem, and i have an hour ride to school both ways.
shuliParticipantdefnitely papa…the way he teaches tht dad..sooooooooooo cute!!!!!!!!!!!!
shuliParticipanti also like reading and writing. i like to doodle, and ive made many really cool pieces of art with just mindless drawing. not like i have so much free time though..
shuliParticipantPretty sad story. Ill bet there are many guys doing the same thing to alot of girls.
shuliParticipantlol @ strivingfortruth
shuliParticipanti think that is sad. in asia especially. imagine having only men, so sad. its not even funny.
why dont people like girls anyway?
im personally offended.
girls are human too!!
shuliParticipantabout the rain, i think that would be fun. i love when it rains, and i looove when it pours so i thinks thats not a problem. the frizzy hair is fine if you just put in some hair product brfore you leave. and if it starts raining after you left, its fine too noone will care.
about complienting girls, it might not be so appropriate on a first date but second and third i is definitley appreciated.
shuliParticipantthis is an important shaila and requires a long response. i will be as breif as possible.
if you are sitting on your bed doing something of importance, for instance writing, you can stay for longer. if you are sitting on the bed cecause of the comfort it provides, you may have to shorten the time you spend on it. texting/emailing freinds is not considered important, but for business it is ok. if you get a call from a friend and you might stay on the phone for long, you must get off of the bed.
as for the toilet, okay here it gets complicated.
if, in your bathroom you have magazines that you MIGHT read. you can stay for 2-3 minutes max. for magazines you WILL read 1-2 mins max.
if you have no magazines, you can stay as long as you need to with out being too comfortable.
as i said before, this is a complicated issue and you should ask your local rabbi
shuliParticipanthey chaim, i totally agree with you. its not like that in all groups but its definitely there alot of the time. like some other guy said, try to be freindly first, and they will catch on
good luck
shuliParticipantdr pepper….lol
shuliParticipantmega supermarket coming soon. supposed to be something like costco i hear. dunno
shuliParticipanti just eat the leftovers…we’ll have the chometz in the morning!

shuliParticipantif you have windows 7 or something, you can have sticky notse on your desktop and keep it there, copying and pasting everytime. but this really helps!!
maybe can you put this as a sticky??
shuliParticipanta green apple and orange juice
then maybe some selzer and a rugela.
ahhh…
shuliParticipantwish i were old enough….
shuliParticipantmy mother, (i dont drive yet) rarely uses her horn. even when the guy in front of us is at a green light for an entire MINUTE. (i am not kidding, we timed it). us, her kids were telling her to honk at the van but, nope. she said its against the law to use it unless it’s for safety purposes.
and i TOTALLY hate the city.
shuliParticipantthere are good parts to texting, but i know some people who seriouslsy not talk to someone because every two minutes their phone beeps…
shuliParticipantpopa i must agree.
shuliParticipanti had school 4 a half day (high school) and my 5 year old nieghbor didnt! talk about being fair…
shuliParticipantbut the french changed their anthem after chabad took it, so is it still bad?
shuliParticipantim deffinitely not addicted
shuliParticipanti take a shower, do a couple crunches, and read a little. by then i am exhasted anyway and so i fall right asleep.

March 15, 2011 11:32 pm at 11:32 pm in reply to: lighting shabbat candles in memory of family murdered #750113shuliParticipanti still cant get over how sad it is…

March 13, 2011 6:52 pm at 6:52 pm in reply to: talking about personal things aloud on cell phone in public #749427shuliParticipantwhen i am in public, i try not to speak on the phone. even if its not so personal. i think its just not modest and i dont like when people listen to my conversations. i would rather just text or say i would call them back later.
