Did you try looking? Its so simple. Click on my ‘Search CR for old threads’ thread which is stickied on the top of the main page, click on the url link, type in mods? mods? and click on search the coffeeroom. Its as easy as that. How did you try to find it?

What would the lady in aries’s story say if she was given a plate of soup in that hotel and told that the previous meal a non religious guest had put something into that particular plate of very doubtful kashrus origin? Would she care that the guest when challenged had said ‘it’s not my problem’?
Ps Where do gebruchts get their name from? I assume that because gebruchts means broken in yiddish that it comes from breaking matzo into soup or even coffee. (Yum!).

While the guy is obviously the one out of his mind to say such things about people with a minhag different to his own, the truth is that here the OP has also made a slight mistake.
There is no such thing is a minhag not to say hallel on pesach night. Yes, Ashkenaz do not have the minhag to say hallel on Pesach night. But they do not have a minhag not to say it! There’s a big difference. And Gedolei Ashkenaz have paskened that because of this, that if an Ashkenaz person davens in a shul where they say hallel, he should say it and not be poresh from the tzibbur by going out early, because nobody has a minhag NOT to say hallel on Pesach night.

A lot of elementary students do NOT know how to spell words correctly. They use teen talk and text talk. And remember that a proportion of posters here do not have English as their first language.
So basically, basic English is not the basic kind of language talk thingy that lots of ppl use you know what I mean basically? Its’ just a littel differant. Ye? Right. You’re right but dont forget there’s different types of thread. There’s your regular thread on one topic that posters reply to. For this type of thread to get past say 30-40 posts is a good achievement. So eg Boro Park Eruv (221 posts), finding the right seminary (214 posts) are great threads.
Then you have feeder threads where posts are all on the same topic but do not follow on from each other and posters often revive them from their posting history after long gaps. These threads include eg jokes (769 posts/16 pages), humorous items (which has almost 2000 posts and 39 pages!), word chain game Nov 4th (1329 posts), riddle (1838), limericks (11 pages), riddles (1838), mazeltov (388), things kids said/did etc etc.
On a thread of 1-liners like ?? ?????? ???? ????, for me the milestone is more the 21 pages than the large amount of posts. So Well Done deiyezooger!

A magid shouldnt have a problem finding stuff to say that will keep kids awake. We do what many others have said ie make the seder on their level, involve them and make a small spiel. This is what they will remember for years to come. Giving them coke is a nice idea.
But definitely the best, proven, certain, guaranteed, true tried and tested method of being sure your kids stay up and stay alert at any time is… To try sending them to bed!!

When I saw the thread title ‘It turned dark purple’, I thought it would have been about my shirt. You see, a poster yesterday was sure that I wear purple shirts, for some reason unknown to me. But my shirts are NOT purple. They get changed daily and washed!
‘It turned dark purple’ could have been refering to my teacher’s face when he realised I’d pulled a shtick yet again.
It could also have been my dear mother’s face on opening the cookie jar and discovering each one had been sampled, saying ‘I wish I hadnt told him not to eat a SINGLE one!’
