That depends if you are married or not as to whether you get chulent today or not. For that’s one big difference between bochurim and married men, as somebody posted here a while back. Bochurim have chulent Thursday, Friday and Shabbos whereas married men have it Shabbos, Sunday and Monday…

Aw come on! Its not that bad. When you were in elementary school you must have thought its the hardest thing. Now looking back you realize it was ok after all. And when you go to yeshiva gedola/sem? and look back at this stage of your life, you will think hey it wasnt so bad really compared to what I am doing now. The only abnoxious teacher was my spelling teacher. The others were only obnoxious. So make the most of it.

A few days ago, one of the most well liked posters in the cr was insulted by being accused of being Joseph who is the ultimate troll and no-no on ywn. While we cannot be 100% certain that he is not Joseph, it is highly unlikely, and the fact is that he has not posted since. So who are the losers? We are. All of us. Including that poster himself.

We must all read our posts thru before sending them and make sure that we are not hurting anyone. Sharp digs lead to heartache. Lets keep the cr a happy place. Thank you.

Anybody have any news of her since she gave her computer away?

I have purposely stayed away from threads such as this because they too often in the past lead to bad feelings or misunderstandings, though none that I can remember have been quite as vociferous as this one has gotten to be. Whether the poster AYC is Joseph or not we should leave to the mods who are in a better position knowing everyone’s deleted posts that we do not. But AYC has never tried to take over, as Joseph’s aliases used to. He has always been helpful and charming so I would not care if he was a Joseph if he was behaving himself. But the mod’s comments were too strong for what was only a hunch.

As for the mods being moderated, one of 42’s posts say EDITED at the end! Is this

Health We cannot daven for rain while having a chiyuv to eat in the sukka. So we wait until AFTER we are no longer mechuyav to eat in the sukka before davening for rain. This is why we do not say Geshem on Sukkos. And that was my exact question. If we are mechuyav to eat in the sukka on shemini atzeres then surely we should wait until simchas torah before davening Geshem. But davening on SA seems to support the minhag of NOT eating in the sukka on SA. Please answer that.

He’s always the helpful one, answering queries that other posters ask which never used to get replied to even by the mods, directing them, empathising, kind and caring, witty, astute, in short a pleasure and privilege to have around. Oh and exceedingly patient too; I dont recall him EVER interrupting me in mid sentence…

He might have been away for yomtov. He did recently sit shiva. I wish him a good vinter and only the best. Keep it up and may there be many like you!

He is nothing to look up to from a religious viewpoint, and I do not in any way respect him as a role model, but as a comedian he’s my sure favorite.

Great OP. If I visited other social media sites I’d be a loser. Likewise if I was here more than I wanted to be. But if I’ve done all I intended to for the day, including learning, then how does this differ from other methods of relaxation such as reading a book etc.
