In the rare case that they do extend their hand or if you have to travel to chutz la’aretz for meetings (as I do), I usually say with a smile “Im sorry, I only touch my wife’s hand” – in your case, husband. The woman then usually apologizes to me for being culturally insensitive! When they apologize, I usually say something to the effect of “don’t apologize – I am the crazy one.”. It’s actually a good ice breaker and if you are in sales (as I am) it certainly helps them remember you.
B’hatzlacha.
shkoiach1ParticipantI think I make the best chulent in telzstone…
Barley, potatoes, onions and goulash meat. salt, curry powder, and sriracha sauce.
shkoiach1Participantyou can get an iphone and then in settings, restrict Safari (the default internet browser) and then set “app download restrictions” to restrict downloading any app rated 17+. This will restrict you from downloading any other browsers, as they are all rated 17+.
Then, ask a trusted person (wife, Rav, etc.) to enter a password in the restrictions so that you will not be able to change the restrictions without going through them.
With this method, you can restrict browsing the internet, but can still use apps which need to access the internet, such as GPS.
Hope this helps…
shkoiach1ParticipantSam2: I learned that when keeping score in scrabble on a weekday, one should use a method other than writing (i.e. use bookmarks on pages to indicate score) so that when you play on shabbos, you won’t be in the habit of writing down the score and accidentally do it.
shkoiach1ParticipantI had heard there was an issue with Borrer when seperating the money into piles of denominations. Can anyone (who knows what they are talking about) confirm or deny?

Piamenta is about as heavy as it gets in authentic Jewish music. Their older stuff (like the album ‘Mitzvah’) is a great example of some good Jewish hard rock with a 70’s flavor. Check them out if you are not familiar with them. The first song on that album (mitzvah) is a fantastic song.
