i am just very skeptical as to whether this would work for her since she really needs a lot of structure. i have discussed your option with her however we both feel it would not work since she really has no self motivation.
shevaMemberyes, that is ideally what we would have liked to do however due to her ADD she would not get down to anything and needs a very structured setting. its a tough one.
she is also in desperate need of an away-from-home setting and a place to give her the right emotional help to prepare her for life.
shevaMemberWell were not looking for the typical high school since we aren’t looking for something academic at all so thats what led us to think that a seminary or similar sort of program however if there is a high school that is not at all focused on academics but rather a more hashkafic, emotional, warm and caring place then we would consider it.
To put it plainly, we are looking for an institution or program that would fill these criteria.
shevaMemberAnd thank you everyone for your help. We need everyones tefillos
shevaMemberI have checked out the ateres naava website and the girls look a lot older to me, more like 18 year olds. Are you sure they would accept 16 year olds?
On the website i also saw that they have a school called bnot chaya academy, does anyone know anything about it?- are all the girls there from dysfunctional homes/ of the derech (as i get the picture from the little information on website). This girl has had it tough and suffered abuse as well as had stages of slipping a bit from the derech like struggles with shabbos etc however she still dresses with skirts on or a bit below the knee and not above and she doesn’t go out with boys. We dont want to put her in an institution where everyone else is in mini skirts and with boy friends and with dysfunctional homes.
Also does anyone have any more information on the other places that have been suggested; midreshet, lindenbaum, darkeynudarchei bina, yavne in cleveland and machon raaya.
I dont even know where some of these places are.
There are so many names going around that I wouldn’t know where to start. Its hard that they dont have websites.
shevaMemberDo you have phone numbers for any of these places? And can you write a bit about them just so i get an idea rather than just a name such as what it specialises in, what age its for, what sort of girls and what part of my description it fits best.
Thanks so much.

These are just small keyrings that make an ear piercing loud noise when activated and warn people around that they are in danger.
These cost about $5 on ebay.
Stay safe everyone

shevaMemberHow can i get hold of the seminary spreadsheet 2015?
shevaMemberRema711: i cant find it. There are so many websites. Can you give me a link please.

shevaMemberNesiot is new and im a bit nervous to be traveling to america (from england) for my first time to a camp no1 really knows much about.
it also sounds like nesiot goes on trips that are more for th american girls who want to go to these random cities that iv heard nothing about. Jeep goes to place like hollywood and california and places like that which are more famous. Jeep is alot more expensive tho and shorter:-(.
I really want to know about jeep from people who have been.
any1 got plans to go to jeep or nesiot this year?
I really dont know what to do!
Bnos machanaim in israel is quite snobby from what i hear. Iv also already been around israel.
what other cool camps are there around?
I am also considering purhaps working as a staff in a camp/ hotel or something for part of the holiday to earn abit of money and to get the expirience (i have some expirience running kids clubs). If any1 knows of a hotel or camp that are looking for staff (or maybe a family wants help) for pay please let me know.
thanks.
