sharpMemberDid the OU put their symbols on the packages since then?
sharpMemberDo you still have the ices? 😛
sharpMemberThat will be the day 😉
sharpMemberSeveral years ago? How much is an ices? I would just chuck it.
sharpMemberIt’s hard work. And you don’t have extra time now.
sharpMemberMy mind ran away… Don’t follow it, it’s lost…

March 11, 2013 8:48 pm at 8:48 pm in reply to: People Questioning What Others Wear While Shopping #936050sharpMemberMayan_Dvash, You need more sources. This ‘reliable source’ has quite an interesting “opinion”.
sharpMemberThese people had no Pesach experience, so the whole Seder thing is new to them. You don’t need to say anything more than what it says in the Haggadah. They will not be able to sit too long on an empty stomach anyway.
Introduce them to the Seder and explain the different Simanim in your own words. Next year they will be more ready to schmooze longer.
sharpMemberDaasYochid, Maxwell House makes brew-able ground coffee. Give it shot.
As far as a free Haggadah goes, I regret to inform you that I’m not handing out any. But I do give free coffee for the asking. And you definitely qualify for a free pot of the coffee of your choice.
So experiment and let me know which coffee to prepare for you.
sharpMemberOh, I’m humbled.
Thank you shnitzy. Lol
sharpMemberDid it ever happen to you?? 😉
sharpMember147:
At least we have what to look forward to.
Right now this switch was something we could’ve done without.
sharpMemberLighting Up The Night is a nice Haggadah. It’s by Artscroll I think. Has hebrew words on the cover: ???? ???? ????.
The Artscroll Family Haggadah also
sharpMemberTo fkelly and all other folks that don’t appreciate a good Cup O’ Joe:
This thread is for people who enjoy drinking coffee. If you don’t find yourself to be in this particular group, feel free to open your own support group on a different thread.
We think that coffee improves our quality of life. We also like the taste of it. We very much appreciate the fact that it perks us up and helps us to get through the day.
So, please be so kind and let us enjoy it without having to think too much about it.
Thanking you kindly,
Coffee Addictions Anonymous
sharpMemberfkelly:
I don’t think I drink 20 cups of caffeine in a day. I also don’t think it’s terribly unhealthy, or simply unhealthy for that matter. I am only aware of 2 problems with coffee. One is not even applicable to adults. I will list them for your reference:
1) It is said to stunt growth (in children)
2) It’s a bladder irritant. (When consumed in large amounts)
The above issues are not very problematic health-wise.
sharpMemberHealth:
Depends who you ask.
March 10, 2013 9:23 pm at 9:23 pm in reply to: People Questioning What Others Wear While Shopping #936044sharpMemberHey, don’t get me started on that one. I wish people would just live and let live.
sharpMemberHealth: “
sharp -“Health: He didn’t ask for sympathy. He wanted suggestions.”
I did give him/her suggestions -read my whole post next time.
From above:
“Grin and bear it. Sleep when you can.”
Ah, that’s very big of you. Are you always so helpful?
March 10, 2013 7:29 pm at 7:29 pm in reply to: Nurse Refused To Initiate CPR, What Is Your Opinion? #938756sharpMemberRealtalk:
True, some people really suffer a lot when they’re sick and weak. But others, a lot of others, have gone on to live quite a while after getting CPR. This is not for humans to decide.
sharpMemberThe Taster’s Choice French Roast in particular tastes a lot like brewed coffee. IMHO the Folgers, all of them are awful. It’s almost as bad as drinking dirty water.
Did you try Maxwell House? There’s also Starbucks, you know.
sharpMemberRealtalk:
“I don’t have a lunch break and I live on hospital grounds. Here in Israel, the nurses have a much bigger responsibility than in America. I finish my shift after maybe sitting 20 minutes the entire time. I get back, sleep for a couple hours and then go to sleep early. Any solutions for me? “
Wow. That’s a tough schedule, there. Try hibernating straight through Shabbos afternoon, study in bits and pieces whenever you have 10 minutes here and there.
sharpMemberHealth:
He didn’t ask for sympathy. He wanted suggestions.
Realtalk: Try squeezing in a few minutes of studying on your lunch break, if you have. If you take public transportation, you can study a bit while commuting. Good luck.
sharpMemberVeltz:
I hope you’re joking.
sharpMemberMaybe Taster’s Choice French Roast. (brown container. not red)
sharpMemberR’ Berkowitz told to him directly? Because if not, this too may be part of the rumor.
It would probably be quite simple to double check with R’ Berkowitz himself.
sharpMemberyytz:
No idea. I don’t think so. (first question)
sharpMemberSo then why is it unhealthy for adults after they stopped growing?
sharpMember“Looked Drunk”? Snowbunny, that’s not proof. It ain’t that easy.
sharpMemberDid they tell you why?
A lot of these rumors are just politics.
sharpMemberDear fkelly,
So the only complaint that you’re aware of with coffee is that it stunts your growth. And you yourself defied that. Right? No doctor will tell you that coffee is unhealthy.
Coffee for kids is another story. I personally would never give coffee to kids (I don’t really know why, I just wouldn’t) probably because it will make them irritable.
For adults though, it’s great.
sharpMemberDoes this count for 1:00? Did anyone move their clocks forward already?
March 10, 2013 5:09 am at 5:09 am in reply to: Nurse Refused To Initiate CPR, What Is Your Opinion? #938748sharpMemberShe’s definitely an idiot. And a heartless one at that.
sharpMemberWhen you’re bang-smack in the middle of talking to someone and they answer the phone without telling you first.
Their phone is in their pocket on vibrate, so you don’t hear it ring. You’re in the middle of a perfectly good conversation when this person suddenly, out of nowhere, whips his phone out and answers it “HELLO”.
That’s very rude. He doesn’t need permission to answer his phone, but it would be courteous to say “oh one minute please” before he does..
sharpMemberNope, her monkey does the typing for her.
sharpMemberIt’s not short attention spans, it’s called multitasking 😉
oh so annoying!
sharpMemberMake sure you’re in the turning lane before you turn. This is very important.
(Obviously when there is a turning lane..)
sharpMemberrabbi_dr:
“I’ve always assumed that guys should start dating when they feel ready and mature. By ‘suggesting’ to them to start dating earlier, we run the risk of people starting before they are mature enough.”
Marriage requires a lot of adjusting. Adjusting that is impossible to do before marriage for obvious reasons. This period of adjustment is very often mistaken as immaturity by some folks. And requires a lot of patience…
sharpMemberfkelly:
Regular coffee is a lot healthier than decaf. The decaf coffee goes through a lot of processing.
There’s nothing really unhealthy with regular coffee.
sharpMemberI don’t think it’s the mothers who plant those ideas into their sons heads, but they can definitely try to knock some sense in if they cared.
