When I lived in Monsey, the 1st minyan in Beis Yisroel was very fast.
They used to say “18 minutes from hoidu to the George Washington Bridge”scy4851Participanta litvak walks into a chasidishe shtiebel and sees the oilom eating a big seudah.
He asks, what’s going on?
They answer him that it’s the rebbeh’s yahrtzeit.
He says to them, “I hated him too, but ?? ??? ???”
Is this a Chasidishe ma’aseh?
scy4851ParticipantShema is mentioned by Moishe in the Torah and it is a mitzvah d’oiraisoh according to a lot of Rishoinim.
The origin of Shema came from Yaakov Avinu. So if the origin came from Yaakov, we should be doing it like Yaakov.
NEVERTHELESS we see that Moishe Rabeinu DID NOT say baruch shem and he DID NOT follow like Yaakov said it.
Therefore WE make a pesharah and say it quietly.

you’re 100% RIGHT! even al_pi_halacha you may keep the book without sending them anything, provided it was sent to you unsolicited.
