What about this question:
If I put on my Tefilin, finished daening and took my Tefilin off. Then I realized that I never wrapped the Tefilin around my finger. Do I need to put Tefilin back on or was I yotzeh?

…Onegoal thats an interesting idea but think how weird threads would look with posts missing then subsequent replies to those posts would not make sense. Instead, be aware that once you send a post you have no further control over it (after the edit period elapses) so – mussar haskel – consider what you write carefully before sending it.
Shticky, you are right that threads will look funny, however, MANY threads are already hard to read because Mods deleted posts. I think there should be an [edited] tag to threads that had posts removed so that people will understand why the thread looks so weird.
Also, if onegoal’s idea would be set in place, when one removes his/her post, instead of deleting the entire post it should be replaced by Post Deleted by <User’s Name>. The same should apply when a mod removes a post (Post Deleted by <Mod __>). It should show that the user posted something and it was removed. This way people can see why it doesn’t make sense.
I do like onegoal’s idea!
Teffilin and Teffila are two separate Mitzvos. We wear Teffilin while davening because Teffilah needs a Guf Nukkei and ao does Teffilin. Sow we “kill two birds with one stone”. However, if someone does not have Teffilin available and it comes time to daven, I woulds aay he should daven without Teffilin and put Teffilin on later in the day. And if someone missed Shachris, he still has the mitzva of Teffilin. The mitzva of Teffilin is the entire day whereas Shachris is only in the morning.
That being said, I don’t see why you should have to put your Teffilin back on to repeat Shemonei Esrai.

miritchka, I know I am guilty of doingthat some times, but I agree with you. If someone starts a normal thread, others should not turn it into a joke.
About spelling: unless someone uses “txt talk”, to correct silly mistakes is wrong. Not everyone is great at spelling and grammar and the CR is not a classroom. However, people should use a spell-checker.
Let’s try to be more considerate to people. Online and off!
What about the word “gal” or “gals”? It is instead of “guy” or “guys”. Is there something wrong with it?

Yahoo Breach Extends Beyond Yahoo to Gmail, Hotmail, AOL Users

Yahoo confirmed Thursday that a file containing approximately 400,000 usernames and passwords to Yahoo and other companies was stolen Wednesday. A group of hackers, known as the D33D Company, posted usernames and passwords for what appeared to be 453,492 accounts belonging to Yahoo, but also Gmail, AOL, Hotmail, Comcast, MSN, SBC Global, Verizon, BellSouth and Live.com users.
The hackers wrote a brief footnote to the data dump, which has since been pulled offline:
The hackers claimed to have stolen the passwords using a hacking technique called an SQL injection, which exploits a software vulnerability.
The breach comes just one month after LinkedIn, the online social network for professionals, had millions of user passwords exposed after hackers breached its systems. The breaches highlight the ease with which hackers are able to infiltrate systems, even at some of the most widely-used and sophisticated technology companies.
Security researchers at Rapid7, a security company, analyzed the dumped account information and found that it included account information not just for Yahoo users but for Gmail, AOL, Hotmail, Comcast, MSN, SBC Global, Verizon, BellSouth and Live.com users. Marcus Carey, a researcher at Rapid7, found that among the data were some 106,000 Gmail accounts, 55,000 Hotmail accounts and 25,000 AOL accounts.
Yahoo users should also consider changing their passwords to other sites for which they might have used the same password, as hackers tend to test those passwords across multiple sites.
