There will be, because there are many in this generation who want to preserve it. Just look at you? your home definitely keep the traditions alive and you weren’t even raised with it!

I am also Sephardic, I’m Orthodox, not a BT and still keep all of our customs so there are some left, but I understand the frustration in trying to find an Orthodox Sephardic rabbi that follows the Sephardic minhagim. There are rabbis who are working to preserve our minhagim it just isn’t as big of a community as the Ashkenazi Charadi one so they aren’t as noticeable. Preserve the minhagim in your own home, and there is nothing wrong with a Sephardic Jew wanting to join the much larger Ashkenazic community, they have a lot going for them and in the end it’s his choice. Preserving the Jewish people and the Torah is much more important than the customs of a community. Yes we have a strong heritage and many gadolim but if the Jewish people become unified into one community it’s not a bad thing.

That being said I’m Sephardic and proud of my heritage and the great Sephardic rabbis that I come from and I don’t plan to change my minhagim 🙂

I’ve had it for a few months now. No problems and I haven’t encountered any software that doesn’t work with it. It also isn’t that different

Thank you, Kitzur Shulchan Aruch a very good source for Sephardim too. I found one book to start him with (Anshei Hayil) and I think I’ll give him the Kitzur Shulchan Aruch next.

Patur Aval Assur, sorry about the late reply. My mother 🙂 and her brother counted the seeds and found it to be true. I have no idea which variety it is. Also many heirloom fruits and vegetables are cross bred now and aren’t true breeds, so it may not be true anymore.

lol I was told as a child that if I watched Birkat Kohanim my milk would dry up and I’d never be able to feed my babies. As for the pomegranate there is one verity that has 613 seeds the others (more common ones you’ll find in the stores) don’t.

Also that I had to stay away from the pool or Lileet and her children would catch me.

I am 22 and I am an out of town girl. I went to Brooklyn for a couple of months and I did get more dates but I found it harder to meet someone serious and the shadchanim are busier! so I moved back home where I get fewer dates but the shadchanim suggest more serious boys. I think that the key to out of town dating is to work with shadchanim and be on dating websites. You probably aren’t going to bump into “the one” at the one pizza place in 20 miles, but you might 🙂

It is my store. I have had a few complaints but only one of them seemed valid and one item was slightly different from the companies stock photos but I do not have theirs to compare it to (no local stores stock it) They are Tweezerman items. I tried several times to contact Tweezerman but they won’t even call or email me back so I can’t authenticate them that way. The supplier has told me who the other customers are and they seem legitimate. Any flaws that I have noticed are more in line with seconds. So I guess they are more Grey Market than Black Market goods. I originally thought the reason I was getting such a good price was because these items are seconds that are supposed to be recast. The factory is in the right location and the quality seems up to the standard. Thank you!

My cousin is Satmar. She had one Beshow and then texted with the boy and they went to the wedding of a mutual friend and snuck out the back to talk more. They had a 6 month engagement and have been married for 7 months now. She is super happy and is talking all of her friends into getting married younger. Maybe it doesn’t work for everyone, but her mother is an amazing shadchan and really did her research. If you are confident about your parents research than great! if not maybe you can do a little of your own via mutual friends.

This cousin’s older sister also got married this way but her list of what she wanted was a little different. She specified what the boy should look like and even rejected boys that were an inch above or below the specified height range. Her mother also only brought her good boys that were compatible with her personality. She has been happily married for 5 years to the boy with the specific looks that she asked for and with the personality that her mother thought would be best. So it does work, as long as the mother knows her child and does her research.
