I never had Applesauce Cake, but I found this recipe online. Personally, I would leave out the cloves and allspice (not a fan) but the picture looked like what you described. Enjoy!

    2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

    2 cups sugar

    1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda

    1/4 teaspoon baking powder

    1 1/2 teaspoons salt

    3/4 teaspoon cinnamon

    1/2 teaspoon clove

    1/2 teaspoon allspice

    1/2 cup vegetable oil

    1/2 cup water

    1 1/2 cups unsweetened applesauce

    2 eggs

1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

    2 Grease a 9×13 baking dish.

3 Combine all ingredients; pour in prepared pan.

4 Bake 60-65 minutes or until done.

I believe the Tom Tom you have to pay for a service. The Navigon and Garmin (in the later models) offer it for free, but there are advertisements you have to put up with (in the Nuvi) and its not as accurate.

Wolfgang Puck was the innovator of “Modern American Cuisine” before him there was only hot dogs and pizza. Puck refined and brought class to American food, he put us on the map.

Is he the greatest Chef in the world today? probably not. Genius? Most definitely

“Ya they’re Chinese or french not Jewish”

I’m not sure about Chinese…. although David Chang of the Momofuku restaurants has taken off like comet. Worlds best Chef (arguably, there is that whole molecular gastronomy argument) right now is Ferran Adria who is Spanish.

Although you do have a point, Jewish men are not known for their food.

Building a smoker out of car parts… THATS the real deal.

There is a restaurant called the Iron Barley where the chef created his own smoker, you can watch it on YouTube, it was featured on Diners Drive-Ins and Dives on the Food Network.

“If English people can eat bread pudding why can’t we eat cow jello?”

I’m not even sure how the two are comparable!

Perhaps you meant to compare it to Haggis, which is Scotland’s national dish, containing sheep heart, liver and lungs chopped together w onions, spices and beef broth and then shoved back in to the sheep stomach and cooked at a nice simmer 🙂

Kinda like a Hannibal Lecter sausage…

I usually go w a nude lip, but I dont think red is tacky. However, if you are questioning if you can pull it off it is probably not for you, a bold lip is one of those things that you need a lot of confidence to pull off and when you dont have it it shows.

First of all the contestants knew what they were getting in to when they signed up.

Regarding critiquing: The Chofetz Chaim does address it in his sefer, but he does so regarding a speech and how you may change someone’s mind that the speech wasnt actually good rather delivered poorly. I guess you can apply this here, but I dont think its the same thing. I would say (for what my opinions worth) that if you want to watch the movies, watch them without reading the comments from the peanut gallery.

About Chukas Hagoyim: Last time I checked a message board wasnt the idea of a Jew….. Just sayin

I always buy “drug store” mascara. Maybelline Volum’ Express is great, it’ll stay on for 2 days if you dont scrub it off!
