SacrilegeMember
AinOhd – Brooklyn has low Real Estate Taxes compared to many other places (including OOT)
SacrilegeMemberIf frozen bugs are muttar then its obvious why Bodek is ok.
SacrilegeMemberapy – you play footbal? 😉
SacrilegeMemberI still dont understand how by grinding the bugs they become batul. If eating a bug is AS bad as eating pork, then why cant you grind a little bacon throw it in to your food and make it batul?
SacrilegeMemberChosson – LOL!
SacrilegeMemberI agree with mischeifmaker (dont call us boring!), I think that makes me a hypocrite 🙂
Don’t get me wrong New York is wonderful (especially if we were including the secular angle), OOT is AWESOME…. especially if its someplace warm, with palm trees.
SacrilegeMembergoody – All it shows is passion is that not what you want your team to have?
As a side note, why then after a big victory do they go all out to celebrate? Streamers, fireworks, Champagne all whilst the other team is still there, is that not bad Sportsmanship?
SacrilegeMemberPascha –
“Sacrilege: If you take it for an allergy, you’re much less likely to experience the effect because you have all those histamines for the antihistamine to deal with.”
Exactly. And if I get knocked out K”V you should.
I’m pretty sure there is a sleep clinic on I off of Bedford…
SacrilegeMember80 – I asked about fresh because I had heard that it was near impossible to check, thats why I was quite surprised to see how relatively simple the Star K made it out.
SacrilegeMembersmartcookie – Why is blended bugs not assur?
SacrilegeMemberI went on Star-K.org it seems easy enough to check fresh broccoli…
SacrilegeMemberSmartcookie – if there are bugs in bodek the if you blend it wouldnt you then be eating blended bugs?
rescue – Hey, I was just repeating what cookie’s Rav said don’t shoot the messenger, I want to find out as much as the next guy.
SacrilegeMemberIs it just me or do the refs make too big a deal about showboating?
I go to a game to be entertained. A lil dance in the end zone is just icing on the cake.
SacrilegeMemberBeing that I do the same thing all the time so as not to embarrass someone, I’d say you did good 😉
SacrilegeMemberI have a pretty severe food allergy and when I take Benedryl it knocks me out.
I dont know how it doesnt do that to you unless you already built up a pretty strong tolerance.
Maybe try some herbal remedies, it has to be better for you.
SacrilegeMemberrescue – I’d imagine thats why smartcookie’s Rav says to use only Green House grown.
SacrilegeMemberEvery time I have purchased Eden the pieces were so hard that they were impossible to chew.
Now I am back to Bodek.
I would love to use fresh. Is there anyway to check it?
SacrilegeMemberEden has hard pieces.
*Shudders*
SacrilegeMemberAmen. Thank you MichelleNY.
SacrilegeMemberSo Right – In all seriousness the problem with Hebrew National is that it isnt Glatt otherwise it is completely Kosher.
Squeak – what is Judaism about if not striving for perfection?
SacrilegeMemberOnly on Treif Tuesdays.
SacrilegeMemberYum.
SacrilegeMemberWhy is Triangle K not good enough?
SacrilegeMemberPosey is on the Giants…
SacrilegeMember“aren’t you worried that she’s reading your posts and she’s very embarrassed?”
Precisely why I am not sharing any stories 😉
SacrilegeMemberLOL 😛
P.S. I’m not even a Phillies fan.
SacrilegeMember“Warning: not as easy as it sounds.”
That doesnt sound easy.
SacrilegeMemberChosson – Lets compare pitching stats.
CC’s numbers are actually LOWER than those of Halladay, Hamels, Lidge & Oswalt.
The only one who is comparative is Mariano and Hughes is unreliable.
SacrilegeMemberD.C. is a good one!
Boston, Philly, Baltimore….
SacrilegeMemberChosson – Pitching is what wins in the PS.
SacrilegeMemberGO PHILLIES!
SacrilegeMemberHomeowner – Thanks for your concern on behalf of the readership.
Having gone through the process I know what it is like.
As a side note a classmate of my brothers received his BTL and went on to Harvard, so there is precedence.
SacrilegeMemberBE MEMORABLE!
SacrilegeMember“One guy I dated, got into several near-accidents on the way home. He was just a really poor driver and I was terrified”
Same thing by me except he wasnt a bad driver I think he moonlighted as a NASCAR driver. We were going 90 on the Brooklyn Bridge weaving in an out of traffic I was sure we were going to end up in the river.
SacrilegeMemberOh the dating stories I have…
Start posting them here:

SacrilegeMember“most guys don’t forget money”
Guess again. Happened to me left his entire wallet at home. Since then I bring a clutch that holds a credit card, cash and my cell phone (which stays off).
SacrilegeMemberPascha – Terrible!
SacrilegeMemberYou see that I can go with. The only reason I was giving you a hard time was because you said it was “defined by Torah and expected by Halacha” I dont appreciate new Halachos being sprung on me.
Funny thing is I completely agree with you! Ideally, a womans place is in the house, as an Eizer Kenegdo. Do I think that that means she needs to be denied a drivers license? NO! Do I think she needs to be locked up and the key thrown away? NO! It’s all about striking the perfect balance.
Believe me I’d gladly trade in my current career, for a full Case Load of baby diapers and sticky fingers. And I think you’d be pretty hard-pressed to find a woman who wouldnt.
SacrilegeMemberHow can one dictation in the Torah be MORE important than the other?
SacrilegeMemberYou can hit Alaska by driving, to actually get anywhere of interest (even within Alaska) you need an airplane or boat.
But yes, you are correct in that you can get to Alaska by driving.
SacrilegeMemberYou did say in the previous statement that the womans place is in the home as defined by Torah & Halachah. Did the Torahs definition suddenly change?
Do we sacrifice some elements of what the Torah “says” for others? I think not. If you want to build a Torah home, what kind of message does it send to your children, that you have your preference of mitzvos & halachos that you follow? (if indeed you believe a womans place is strictly in the home)
SacrilegeMemberPopa – Save for Alaska, Salt Lake City and Wyoming are both accessible by car, last time I checked.
Any p’tchech can fly… which I’ll admit I do.
SacrilegeMember“as defined by the Torah and expected by halacha”
How then would you explain the phenomena, according to the Torah & Halacha, of 100s of woman leaving the Home for the sake of said Torah if indeed it was contrary to its teachings.
SacrilegeMemberActually my “clever” was aimed at that retort that you suddenly count according to the Jewish calander.
Although you still didnt answer my question hence, evasive.
SacrilegeMemberClever.
And Evasive.
SacrilegeMemberAre we talking about 2010?
SacrilegeMemberSo then clearly the problem isnt girls “galavanting”.
SacrilegeMemberYou have the evidence so I’ll retract my statement of many getting in to more crashes.
Bottom line. Men are being killed more in vehicle accidents, so who really wins here?
SacrilegeMember“and are more aggressive.”
…causing more accidents.
I rest my case.
SacrilegeMemberWasn’t the whole point of Bain Hazmanim so that you can have some time off, and not have such an intense schedule?
Use the time to your discretion. If you enjoy driving and scenery, I think thats a pretty Kosher outlet for Bochrim who usually have pretty packed schedules.
As someone who enjoys traveling I think its a great idea. We live in a beautiful country and there is much to see.
