I still dont understand how by grinding the bugs they become batul. If eating a bug is AS bad as eating pork, then why cant you grind a little bacon throw it in to your food and make it batul?

I agree with mischeifmaker (dont call us boring!), I think that makes me a hypocrite 🙂

Don’t get me wrong New York is wonderful (especially if we were including the secular angle), OOT is AWESOME…. especially if its someplace warm, with palm trees.

goody – All it shows is passion is that not what you want your team to have?

As a side note, why then after a big victory do they go all out to celebrate? Streamers, fireworks, Champagne all whilst the other team is still there, is that not bad Sportsmanship?

    Pascha –

“Sacrilege: If you take it for an allergy, you’re much less likely to experience the effect because you have all those histamines for the antihistamine to deal with.”

Exactly. And if I get knocked out K”V you should.

I’m pretty sure there is a sleep clinic on I off of Bedford…

80 – I asked about fresh because I had heard that it was near impossible to check, thats why I was quite surprised to see how relatively simple the Star K made it out.

Is it just me or do the refs make too big a deal about showboating?

I go to a game to be entertained. A lil dance in the end zone is just icing on the cake.

I have a pretty severe food allergy and when I take Benedryl it knocks me out.

I dont know how it doesnt do that to you unless you already built up a pretty strong tolerance.

Maybe try some herbal remedies, it has to be better for you.

Every time I have purchased Eden the pieces were so hard that they were impossible to chew.

Now I am back to Bodek.

I would love to use fresh. Is there anyway to check it?

Chosson – Lets compare pitching stats.

CC’s numbers are actually LOWER than those of Halladay, Hamels, Lidge & Oswalt.

The only one who is comparative is Mariano and Hughes is unreliable.

Same thing by me except he wasnt a bad driver I think he moonlighted as a NASCAR driver. We were going 90 on the Brooklyn Bridge weaving in an out of traffic I was sure we were going to end up in the river.

You see that I can go with. The only reason I was giving you a hard time was because you said it was “defined by Torah and expected by Halacha” I dont appreciate new Halachos being sprung on me.

Funny thing is I completely agree with you! Ideally, a womans place is in the house, as an Eizer Kenegdo. Do I think that that means she needs to be denied a drivers license? NO! Do I think she needs to be locked up and the key thrown away? NO! It’s all about striking the perfect balance.

Believe me I’d gladly trade in my current career, for a full Case Load of baby diapers and sticky fingers. And I think you’d be pretty hard-pressed to find a woman who wouldnt.

You can hit Alaska by driving, to actually get anywhere of interest (even within Alaska) you need an airplane or boat.

But yes, you are correct in that you can get to Alaska by driving.

You did say in the previous statement that the womans place is in the home as defined by Torah & Halachah. Did the Torahs definition suddenly change?

Do we sacrifice some elements of what the Torah “says” for others? I think not. If you want to build a Torah home, what kind of message does it send to your children, that you have your preference of mitzvos & halachos that you follow? (if indeed you believe a womans place is strictly in the home)

“as defined by the Torah and expected by halacha”

How then would you explain the phenomena, according to the Torah & Halacha, of 100s of woman leaving the Home for the sake of said Torah if indeed it was contrary to its teachings.

Wasn’t the whole point of Bain Hazmanim so that you can have some time off, and not have such an intense schedule?

Use the time to your discretion. If you enjoy driving and scenery, I think thats a pretty Kosher outlet for Bochrim who usually have pretty packed schedules.

As someone who enjoys traveling I think its a great idea. We live in a beautiful country and there is much to see.
