This is totally me!!! I am so lazy its sad.
So what I do is that if I dont want to do something I’ll specifically do it. L’hachis 😉
It actually works.
Or, you can make deals with yourself. For example if I do ABC then I can get XYZ.
Reward yourself!

Well I guess I am just a little slow in that regard because thats my philosophy now (except I dont really see any Chassidish in me…) I guess it took me a while to figure out what I truly am.
SacrilegeMemberSince this thread was started by Yoish I think we can all chalk it up to his inexperience with relationships on the marriage level (big talker, I know).
But seriously, if you feel that you have to look perfect 1,000% of the time or your husband wont be attracted to you, you have bigger problems than weight.

Exile from the land of Yeshivish.
“Also what were the types of things you’d NEVER say now that you said then?”
I’m trying to maintain a shred of self-respect (if thats still possible) so no stories.

Could be. Maybe they smelled out that I wasnt the real thing 😉

Maybe you should ask the members of OA if that is true…
SacrilegeMember“True but in general the weight usually doesn’t bother women”

Oh believe me I was Yeshivish.
Maybe just a little more open minded and knowledgeable than the normal fan base…. hence my self-exile.

SacrilegeMemberHonestly, I did it for my grandfather…
But he seems to be enjoying it 🙂

If you are being supported by the Government then (and only then) can they tell you what to do.
If you are on Food Stamps, then they can tell you how to spend them, if you are on Medicare/Medicaid then they can set the parameters how you will qualify, etc… Thats is why its called a Government Program, if its their game you have to play by their rules.
But, if I dont want to play with them, why are they making my rules?!

Jews arent the only people that live in America so all these laws dont ONLY affect us as Jews, I am referring to Americans at large.
Yes, I do think we should make drugs legal, tax the hell out of them and make serious penalties for offenders. If you can manage the problem that is half the battle, we are LOSING the war on drugs usage is rampant if we legalize it we can eliminate drug related gangs & violence.

Funny that you would ask that question. In my early dating career, I was SO yeshivish back then, IDK if I tried to be frummer but I think I was also trying to prove to myself how frum I was. I remember I would bring up these out there concepts that I would NEVER discuss now…
Either way, like I said before, you can usually sniff it out because even as Yeshivish as I was back then the guys always (ok, sometimes they came up with a diff excuse) said I was too “secular”, Ha! if they would only see me now!
SacrilegeMemberMaybe do it with your husband, make it into a project.

If you want to commit suicide why should the Government stop you?
You are free to abuse your body in any way you deem fit.
The reason why agree with cigarette ban is because there is proven data that second hand smoke effects other people. I dont care if you want to kill yourself, but dont kill me in the process.
October 19, 2010 1:35 pm at 1:35 pm in reply to: Spooky: FDA says no right to choose what you eat? #702461SacrilegeMemberI’m a registered Republican. Not because I agree with everything they stand for (because I dont) but the main thing I agree with is Limited Government, once the Government starts interfering in our day to day lives the country is bound for hell in a handbag. The fundamental purpose of Government is the maintenance of basic security and public order. Most people are reasonable enough (and I say most because there are crazies out there) to submit themselves to some form of Government rather than complete Anarchy.
Once Government abuses their power and expands their role we run into problems, was this not the reason why we created this country in the first place?
Personally, I think this is all ridiculous – dont tell me what to eat, dont tell me who to love, dont tell me how to spend my money, dont tell me who to help out… There has to be a point where the Government is just the Government and they arent storming into our personal lives.

I’m not psychotic, just organized.

SacrilegeMemberICOT – Real to Reel that I went to is in Boro Park. I think it was $25 per hour of video conversion but I’m not 100% sure.

Scary that they all are.
SacrilegeMember“what am I missing?”
Narishkeitin.

Ok I get it, not everyone is up to my level of orginization 😉
SacrilegeMemberFirst of all I think you have to daven for Siyata Dishmaya and then TRUST YOUR INSTINCTS THEY ARE YOUR GUIDE. Seriously, people doubt themselves too much, go with your gut and be confident with your decision.
You can usually sniff out a faker, if you cant you probably need to do some adjustments.
SacrilegeMemberI think (maybe) what the teacher meant was that sometimes men think that they can go to a Daf Yomi and they have fulfilled their chiyuv of limud torah instead of learning whenever they have a chance (whatever that means to each person)
SacrilegeMemberNumbers….
….Statute
SacrilegeMemberI think that as long as your work is done in a diligent and timely manner, what you do in between projects shouldnt bother your boss/supervisor. That being said, it never hurts to organize/alphabetize/categorize (you get the drift) something without being told.

I think Nibs and Gushers are probably the closest, in size and addictiveness.

Something that isnt healthy and is terrible for you 😉
Yum.
SacrilegeMemberOn some items they are worth it. It’s really depends item by item. I know my family gets: cleaning supplies, paper towels, toilet paper, tissues, diapers and wipes (for my nephews) sometimes food (they have Kosher food) it really depends on the item, you have to be aware of prices or you can over-pay.
SacrilegeMemberGUSHERS!!!!
SacrilegeMemberI found an interesting recipe that can stand in for cholent, since its made in a slow cooker. Plus, for those who are health conscious (I’m not, I like to live dangerously 😉 it’s made with chicken. I got the recipe from epicurious.com
3/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 chicken, cut into serving pieces and skinned
1/4 cup olive oil
1 yellow onion, finely chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 cup dry white wine
1 (14 1/2-ounce) can crushed tomatoes
Freshly ground black pepper
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, cut into chiffonade, for garnish
1 cup black Nyons or kalamata olives, for garnish
Combine the 3/4 cup flour and the salt in a resealable plastic bag. Add the chicken to the bag, several pieces at a time, and shake to coat completely.
Pour the onion mixture over the chicken in the slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 3 to 8 hours, until the chicken is tender. At 3 to 4 hours, the chicken will still be firm and hold its shape. At 6 to 8 hours, the meat will be falling off the bone.
Divide the chicken among dinner plates and garnish with the parsley, basil, and olives. Serve immediately

SacrilegeMemberSoft bake cookies….
*yummy*
SacrilegeMemberTwerps is such a boy nosh!
Oh! Twizzler Nibs, yum!
SacrilegeMemberThere is a mix in every seminary so narrowing it down to that can leave out a lot of great girls. That being said if you want a good girl who is with it not obsessed with finding the next Rosh Yeshiva for herself, doesnt think she has to be on par with the boys in Brisk, I’d say:
Israel Seminaries Only:
Seminar, Bnos Chava, BYA & Tiferes (this was after my days, but my sister looked into it)
SacrilegeMemberHmmm, I’m not sure Ice Cream counts. I’ll give it to you if you cant think of anything else…
