I dont disagree that for each person being single there is a different reason. To make a blanket statement, the reason why you need to be single is for you to strengthen your emuna. Or to say, the reason you are single is because you need to learn to appreciate your spouse…. its plain ridiculous.

If someone decides on their own why they are single thats one thing…

Noooo, Trinity makes a lot off rent, they have quite the RE empire in the city. Besides, they probably get a write off for being part of a “Religious Institution”

Not any more than the original OP. Wolf isnt working for Trinity he is working for a company that rents space from Trinity, his productivity has nothing to do with the support of the Church.

You can make the same argument for pretty much anyone who isnt a Jew. If they are Christian and you work for them and they give money to a Church in essence your money is in part going to that Church.

    We live in Golus.

I’m going to disagree. I think it is a lack of respect to her husband (we arent even going to mention self respect). I think the CR is a great place for an exchange of ideas, not EXTREMELY personal issues that can breach on tznius. The relations between husband and wife are very personal and should be dealt with at home or in a private setting. I feel for you Jobless, I do, but this is a private matter that I think you need to work out with YOUR husband not with the rest of us.

I dont mean to be insensitive.

I really do not think this is the forum to be sharing your Shalom Bayis issues. If you have reason to be suspicious of your husbands whereabouts confront him, and if you cant communicate openly maybe its time to see a marriage counselor.

No disrespect for your thread but i feel like we just go in circles on this one. Smoking is an addiction and those who dont quit are either too lazy to stop or dont care enouth too. Simple as that.

Recent studies DO NOT show that second hand smoke is just as dangerous as smoking. Recent studies do show however, that if you live with a smoker and you breathe in his second hand smoke all day you have a 25% increased chance in getting cancer. Now, unless you live with a smoker I really dont think there is reason to hyper or hypo ventilate.

“Extras” she can pay for but many families make their young children pay for extras. As one gets older, especially when entering Shidduchim things that were once “extras” now become “must haves”.

I’m going to play devils advocate… because, its going to be fun!

Your parents dont OWE you anything, but then again you didnt ask to be brought in to the world, that was their choice (and Hash-m’s) So really, if they wanted to be a parent the burden should be upon them until they are self sufficient.

In the non-Jewish world, it is generally acceptable for children to MOVE OUT after college. In the Jewish world in a “normal” circumstance children usually stay at home until married.

    Now for the rebuttal.

It depends with me. I can go a whole week without eating and then I can binge for a day and then resume not eating….

I’m not on a diet, its just that sometimes I’m in the mood of food and sometimes I’m totally not.
