Sorry, didnt see that Q. Depends where I am, when I am in Brooklyn they are Jewish although I dont know *how* religious. When I am in the city they are mostly non-Jewish.
SacrilegeMemberIt’s always nice to win against the city. What kind of property was it?
SacrilegeMemberWIY
I generally like fleishigs better than dairy, so my favorite sammich was going to be meat.
SacrilegeMemberSimcha
You just summed up the “Shidduch Crisis”
Many girls think that in order for them to marry a “good” guy he needs to be learning, whether they really want it or not.
SacrilegeMemberWIY
Legally speaking. You cant come before a judge and say she said Geez, or put a dash in Hash-m.

What are the grounds for your lawsuit again?

Its not a joke, I have 3 impacted wisdom teeth that need to come out and I refuse…
Just thought of another one, Anesthesia.

Thanks for sharing your perspective.
I think you are correct when you say that girls that go into the Therapies have an advantage because they can make their own hours. However, not all lawyers want to make partner in a top tier firm. I work in a small to mid-size firm and my main focus is Tax Certiorari, it is a rare occurrence when I get home after 7.
I also find it interesting that your legal training has spilled over into your every day life. People are usually quite shocked when I tell that what I do, I guess it’s a personality difference.
The point about not having time to date, is relative to each person. If something is important enough to you, you make time for it.

Usually the vegetable section on a sushi menu is pretty boring but at The Sushi Spot they have a lot of interesting and delicious rolls, jonesing for some right now!

Deep breath, and release.
Boys say they want a chilled girl with a good personality.
*checking my ego aside for a minute* I am one of the most easy going people I know (maybe a little to easy going) and I am still single.
“Easy going chilled personality” Read: looks killer body.

Actually, sushi tastes best super fresh when its slightly warm. When its cold the rice gets gummy and you taste the seaweed.

“OT/PT and Speech are what most girls go into because, frankly, they do not demand a lot of creativity and intensity”
“The actual job, once learned, does not change that much.”
I’m sorry, those are completely inaccurate statements.

Me too! If I see someone throw up I’ll start gagging… but, I dont know if I have a fear of it.

Talking to the person suing me is also a problem so SHHH! 😛
SacrilegeMemberOnly vegetable for me. Anything with crunch and spicy mayo, yum!
SacrilegeMemberI dont think its a problem of “over-education” so much as what field you are “over-educated” in.
OT/PT for example. To become an OT/PT you need to go through the same 3 years of Graduate School that you need when pursuing a law degree (and in my opinion it is much tougher). There is a nice group of Frum girls in the Downstate and NYU OT/PT programs, those programs are no joke, they are extremely competitive.
For some reason OT/PT/Speech Therapy has become acceptable fields for Frum girls to pursue. They are no less educated than a girl who graduates with a law degree, becomes a Dentist or an Eye Doctor, they just have different passions.
SacrilegeMemberMy uncle was once in an amusement park on Chol Hamoed and a Chassidish lady was on the bumper cars when she got hit really hard and her shaitel flew off. The non-Jew manning the booth started freaking out thinking that her hair flew cleanly off her scalp.

I was too young to really chap what was happening (I was 11)
People always ask me if I have a fear of flying and I dont… as long as there are no Middle Eastern looking males (so, I’m a racist!)
Which reminds me, a couple months after 9/11 I was flying and the Captain did a walk through of the plane and I looked at his name tag: Mohammad. My tehillim was put to good use on THAT flight 😀
SacrilegeMemberWIY
I’ll refer you to someone good.

But unless you had a Real Estate matter you needed me to take care of, I’m probably not going to be much of a help.

We were about 10 minutes in the air when there was a deafening sound and the plane jerked down-wards. The pilot made an anouncement on the PA system that we were going to make an emergency landing and we shouldnt be alarmed to see emergency personnel on the runway. They were supposed to be foaming the runway but we were losing too much altitude too quickly they didnt have a chance to do it and landing was a bit…. rough & loud! B”H everyone was ok, noone got hurt. What happened was an engine had exploded and caused the other 3 engines to go up in flames…. Good Times!
It was actually pretty big news in Israel 🙂

SacrilegeMemberprof
I’m pretty sure this one only has one meaning…
SacrilegeMemberBlinky
Something similar happened to me.
I was at a wedding and knew the caterer so I went to the kitchen to say hi. As I was walking out of the kitchen the men had gathered at the entrance to daven Maariv, so I was stuck with no place to go…
