Tell her that unlike the other more popular religions, Judaism doesn’t believe in “saving” people because every nation has its own purpose in the world. The non jews have their own set of rules (7 mitzvot bnei noach) and as long as they follow them, then they too will be able to happily experience moshiach.

Pot doesn’t need a lid…. ?
SabziMemberok… so we’re all in agreement… HASC hoodies are the only sweatshirts mutar for girls to wear in public…. and if they don’t have one then they shouldn’t be in public?

SabziMemberSo the waitress at Cafe Rimon called me a chauvinist and now I’m a racist too. I’ve accomplished so much this week 🙂
SabziMemberpopa: you’re saying I shouldn’t use it because it’s politically incorrect or because a possy of gypsies may over hear and give me a good gypping?
SabziMemberhaha… thanks for the bump popa… I wouldn’t have seen this otherwise… I’d rather have 2 separate short parshas…. now I feel jipped 🙁
SabziMemberAny mods around to advise what to do?

SabziMemberwhat? no way… no money… if someone signs up with a shadchan for the Israel scene because that’s where he is… and then later moves to the US … I think its pretty fair that he should be able to switch shadchanim… and if the shidduch works then then shadchan gets a nice chunk of reward money…. i don’t see any chesed from SYAS because all the real work is done by the shadchanim….
SabziMemberSo basically yall are saying … pay money and hope they let me change to a different shadchan?
SabziMemberlol… I would say this is one of the most awkward posts here
August 14, 2012 10:04 pm at 10:04 pm in reply to: Does every 4 cornered "garment" need Tzitzis? #891539SabziMemberCuriosity – I think you’r avoiding the obvious question… Could you catch a fish with your tzitzit? .. if so then it must be a fish net.

SabziMember???? ????? – ????? ????? ?????
note his first words in that section: “minhag avoteinu vadai hu torah” so this seems to predate his writing it.
the apter rebbe died in 1825. the book was not published until 1863.
i’m not saying i’m for or against it, but this is the oldest reference to the minhag that i could find.

SabziMemberdont need the NY Times to tell you something that Mesilat Yesharim already discusses
SabziMemberYou should know that for the past few years, a business degree has been provided completely in english. Rumor has it that they will soon be providing computer science in english too.
tahini: something that many don’t know is that there is a high school on campus too. it is a very hard program to get into but students who are accepted do 5 years of high school and finish with a high school diploma and a Bachelors in Computer Science. the same degree someone would get going through the normal comp sci track post high school. so it provides a huge advantage, finishing high school at the age of 19 and also having a college degree.
SabziMemberI’m in my last year (4th year) here at JCT – Machon Lev studying Electro-Optics Engineering. There is an american program which provides some classes in english. Over the years it’s been called a few different names (E.S.P., JCT International School, T.M.M.E).
What degree are you interested in?

SabziMembergo talk about it… maybe you could take the coffee room outside the digital world and discuss topics in real life?

June 20, 2011 12:43 am at 12:43 am in reply to: Encryption A Simple But Practically Unbreakable Trick #792513SabziMemberif your already sharing a key, you may as well go for something cool like “Elliptic Curve Cryptography”
