I have the same problem. In a 15 second window- its pretty hard to come up with something to say that wont sound awkward..
I just flash a huge genuine smile that conveys everything, and it does the trick. Its not like they have anything to say back either..
Health- jooooooooooooooooooke. Know those ppl who talk in those kinda sentences..? I always get a kick out of it..

I miss wearing my hair in a pony, but I would never wear a pony wig. Yick! I just dont think they look normall! I would rather wear a bandana if its too hot.. Or wear a regular wig clipped back. But whatever.. just my personall opinion here.. Lotsa luck!
dunno- yeah thats usually what happens believe it or not. The ppl who think its “shticky” r the younger ppl who dont usually have all that available cash 4 tzedakah. And 4 all the other ppl- they will be constantly hocking about it, and how ridiculous it is etc. etc. (ahem) which is excellent advertising actually.
I remember but the thread was blacklisted I think. Some ppl get nervous when “certain” topics get pulled out from under the carpet..

Thank Gd, I have everything worked out n dont have to actually do anything… Hashm even threw in a few perks for me over here. Its just so hard to let go of what I want- despite knowing someone up there knows better than lil me.
Iv been through the same thing.I used to be an AVID reader. While a good jewish novel is almost impossible to come by, I shifted my desire for reading novels to books/seforim which I actually learn and gain from. Those kind of “jewish books” are amazing and everywhere. I also try to spend more time with shiurim, and fill my time with ACTIONS. As incredibly hard as it is to wean urself off of books, Soon u will start seeing how much fuller ur life is. Lots of luck to all of us readers.. Hashm is proud of our efforts!!
I was supposed to go away on a much anticipated, desperately needed escape/ dream vacation for Pesach. I was so excited. Suddenly, Im not going. :((. I hope the flight atleast crashes.. (KIDDING)

FYI- one of them is going to get hurt. Maybe both. Do u want ur future husband to know that u couldnt decide which one u liked better so u had him hanging around while u tried it out with another? This is what I hate about shidduchim.. dating is not supposed to be a list of people to try on for size.. return whenever u feel like it.. These r PEOPLE and ur supposed to be building a RELATIONSHIP. Atleast try to keep it real for your own sake!

I dont know the details of this persons life, or why its a “mitzvah” wedding but- I feel like with a regular person- If ther so happy to get married, and so happy with ther chosson.. a broken leg or friends ditching would not ruin the happiness of the day..
If u won the lotto and then while ur at the celebratory party of all ur dreams coming true- u break ur leg.. ur friend leave.. would u be crying???

Omg one of my dreams is to paint my nails light blue. Unfortuanately, every time I work up the guts to do it, I cant find a good shade.. Dont wanna look dead.. cshap- if u ever go blue let me know what color u use..

Being kind to urself is not synonymous with “self absorbed”. That has a negative connotation and the 2 r very different. I absolutely cringe when I hear ppl being critical of themselves. Please-be good 2 u!! The most important relationship u will ever have is with urself!!
