mchemtob- i hope u understand not everything is in ur controll. ppl get surprises in life despite ur best efforts. even with realizing marriage isnt candy and flowers.. there r still things to be afraid of.

The popular. Brainy know-it-all doesnt necessarily get u too far in life happiness-wise. The person with great social skills, lots of friends… i would imagine would have better quality of life and could get further..
When i go to weddings and i see the very outgoing and sociable young, handsome, frum singer, i always wonder how secure this wife must feel in her marriage, being fine with her husband staying out late every night.. entertaining those crowds of very enthusiastic and beautifully dressed women..
happiest- it is normall to want to be married, and sometimes it can be depressing, but u should be content with just being u, and u shouldnt really NEED a husband too badly.. maybe u should look into ur self (read books, talk to someone..) to understand why it is u have this NEED. sometimes it is not that simple and its very important that u understand urself BEFORE u date and marry.

heleivi- i was talking about yapping too… but in bad situations its usually unclear when its necessary to consult with someone and when its not.. i still think telling everyone before they get married to never talk about anything personal is not good advice. once ur married for a while- i definately agree its unhealthy.. but before then- it is a dangerous rule to throw out.

umm- while i can understand that advice- i need to say i dont think that should be said to newlyweds. i had that little lesson drummed into me in highschool and kallah class, and being the good little concientious girl i was i took it seriously. i went through a very bad “shanah reshonah and a half” with out it ever crossing my mind to talk to anyone about it- “no good can come from it, disloyalty to him..” when it got to the point where i was ready for a divorce and finally told my parents they were like “whyyyy did u wait so long???” im not the only one this has happened to- but i was just the lucky enough to not get withchild and possibly remain trapped in a terrible marriage. i think girls need to be educated about marriage and to have someone they can definately talk to.

Tefillah is vital but do not underestimate hishtadlus. I davened great and was given a hard package. I kinda wonder if i was too trusting and i should have done more hishtadlus or if Hashem had that plan for me no matter what i wouldv done..
