Interesting that there are actually Jews who are jumping to take the word of an Iranian official over that of an American. Besides the fact that in September 2018 Israel itself announced that it had attacked Iranian assets in Syria 200 times, no secret here.
December 29, 2020 2:36 pm at 2:36 pm in reply to: The Trump Vaccine for the Chinavirus Developed via Operation Warp Speed #1933214rtParticipanttrump vaccine because he said he wanted it? He had nothing to do with its creation, skilled experienced scientists did. Operation warped slow motion, only two million vaccinated, when they said twenty million would be done by the end of the year. More incompetent bungling.
rtParticipantto me there is something wrong with chewing gum anywhere

oh yes I know now,
it’s the intelligent look on the face of the cow!”
rtParticipanthow about just a little saichel; why did the Iranians even come to the table, because they are big tzaddikim, ohavei shalom? No, they came because sanctions are hurting them, the answer is clear continue and strengthen sanctions, that’s the alternative, not war as the president & Kerry would have us believe
rtParticipantmany of the people who run for office seem to be dummies, so all people should have an equal opportunity to vote for them
rtParticipantI often hope that some of the comments I find are actually jokes and the purpose is to get a rise out of people.
Here is a mitzvah, hachnosas Kallah, which is listed as ochail pairosahem b’olam hazeh v’hakeren kayemes l’olam haboh. A mitzvah of chesed based according to the Rambam on v’ahavta l’raacha kmocha THE Klal gadol baTorah. Who is Patur from that? Who would want to run away and avoid that?
Does anyone think that hachnosas kallah is just for showing up to the chasunah?
rtParticipantthe snow is a siman tov; Purim-Yom Kipurim there is tremendous rachamim and kapara on Purim; says the navi- lechu na v’nivachacha im yihiyu chataaichem kashani KASHELEG yalbinu

rtParticipantI would say all leadership in both houses on both sides & ALL tea party members, then maybe Congress can get back to the business of getting things done for the country. If that doesn’t work, keep cutting them.
September 12, 2013 7:22 pm at 7:22 pm in reply to: Where can I find Vidui with additional Aveiros? #974753rtParticipantUse the Chayei Adam’s list; that’s sufficient; as my rebbe taught us, why is viduy in alef-bais order? if not, you wouldn’t know when to stop.
rtParticipantwhatever the motivation, this is very good for Klal Yisroel, as the Ribbono shel Olam runs the show. they are busy butchering each other & leaving us alone.
As Rav Hutner z’tl said when told about the Iran-Iraq war, “zol zei beder matzliach zein!”
rtParticipantCharlieHall is correct, private gun ownership in Israel is illegal. You have to be in security etc to get a permit & you must renew it annually.
rtParticipantthis morning I heard a third party, namely another passenger on the plane, say on the news that there were a number of students disobeying repeated requests to be seated & turn off phones.
some may not like it, but it’s the discretion of the airline to decide how to handle such a situation.
when in doubt-BEHAVE LIKE A MENTSH!
rtParticipantChilul ‘H comes about from Yidden who are supposed to present a higher standard, what difference does it make which “type” of yeshiva?

May 28, 2013 5:34 pm at 5:34 pm in reply to: An Open Letter from R Shteinman Shlita Regarding IDF Draft #955882rtParticipantmy Rav gave a very good moshol: would you go to war with guns but with no ammunition? Chazal say limud haTorah is maigen, so it is a weapon of defense against our enemies. it is normal that chilonim do not understand this concept, but I would assume those here should.
rtParticipantSaysMe, are you having cheesecake? it’s only a minhag, not a chiyuv
rtParticipantwhy go thru all of that when there is soy product that is very good, & you can put on real pizza!
rtParticipantas Rav Shlomo Brevda z’tl stated:
“learning Torah- vadai

I believe it’s safe to say there are no neviim in the CR
rtParticipantsee Pachad Yitzchok, the maase of Rabba & Rav Zeira demonstrated tchiyas hamaisim
rtParticipantI hope not for his sake, otherwise we’d see all the holier than thou’s telling us he wasn’t frum or frum enough for them, & why was he buried in a goyishe cemetary etc
rtParticipantit’s difficult to read some of the posts here, so am I to understand that if someone else eats chazir it’s ok for you to eat it?!?!

acharei-mos, kedoshim, emor I’ve always heard, better to err on the side of caution (true yiddishkeit)

January 21, 2013 6:30 pm at 6:30 pm in reply to: Blaming the Same Gender Unions: A Personal Rant #927557rtParticipantI once saw Rav Shlomo Brevda z’tl quoted:
Talmud Torah kneged kulam- vadai
davening with kavnah- vadai
why H’ brings natural disasters- safeik
rtParticipantthe issue (removal of bekeshe) it would appear is the lack of kavod, could this in any way be a result of machlokes??
rtParticipant“A flawed concept with no basis in classical Jewish thought.”
complete am haratzus; take a look at pasukim (no less) Devarim 17:9-13. Lo sasur min hadavar asher yagidu lecha.
mishna: aseh lecha Rav.
rtParticipantI imagine if you’re a person who wouldn’t be learning any other time, perhaps…otherwise it seems like a real bizayon of Torah. Would you jog in the Bais haMikdash even if you were properly clothed?
rtParticipantthis question baffles me; we train our children not to speak loshon hara, why not nivul peh as well?
rtParticipantWe should all have stronger kavana & simcha as we daven Hallel these last days of Yom Tov-hakores hatov to the Ribbono shel Olam.
I was troubled (at least the reports I read or saw) that Noam Shalit thanked many but made no mention of Hashem.
rtParticipantbecause the oil companies who have a monopoly want even more money, supply is up & demand is down, figure it out yourself
rtParticipantlooks like he never learned the Rambam…
rtParticipantKtoret11- savage spends a lot of time bashing/being mevazeh Torah observance

rtParticipantyungerman- fact, Biden didn’t say they’re terrorists, rather the behavior was “like terrorists”.
now, is this worse than calling the President of this country a socialist, a communist, someone who pals around with terrorists, is not really a citizen, hates this country, hates the military etc there’s plenty of guilt to go around- I believe that’s a fact worth noting

rtParticipantas far as drinking, the mitzvah is ONLY with yayin
rtParticipantthere are obviously different connotations as to what baal teshuva means; however, in the contemporary vernacular it refers to someone who was not shomer Torah u’mitzvos & became shomer
