To be fair, a juror could lose a week or two or even longer of his salary, if his employer doesn’t pay him for the time he is serving as a juror. And employers have no obligation to pay an employee who is on juror duty. And not everyone can afford to lose a few weeks salary for a measly $40 a day.

Single men (whether never married or divorced) tend to be on the “lookout” for a marital partner. A girls school is an inappropriate lookout.

I’ve heard a case of a rebbe in a beis yaakov getting dismissed after his divorce. It is a fair concern by the school and I don’t think you can blame them.

Perhaps you are referring to a girls school not hiring divorced men.

A father of a child under 13 could also exempt himself as such. The court doesn’t discriminate between mothers and fathers.

PBA: What determines if a HMR is “shady”? Either it is halachicly valid or it is not. Specifically what did the cheirum specify that a HMR needs more than to be signed by 100 rabbonim?

He could do teshuva after giving her a get bal korcha (or after remarrying against the cheirem or getting a questionable heter meah). Especially if he didn’t plan out to teshuva in advance. And like Sam2 said, he didn’t even violate a d’rabbanan in the first place (just a cheirem).

And non-Ashkenazic men don’t even have the cheirem altogether.

    AZ:

Is the program open to any and all shadchnim, professional, non-professional and part-time shadchanim, to join? Other than agreeing to the terms, what qualifications must the shadchan have to join? X number of succesful shidduchs? Other conditions? Please specify.

Thank You AZ, and awaiting your response.
