Anyone have Reb Moshe Tshuves Chailek Vov? I think thats were he speaks about it. I could be mistaken.
Right PathMemberRight PathMembersam4321: Your right Henry Ford was a antisemite and there are many others.
What makes this different is the fact that Volkswagen helped the German War effort.
Right PathMemberIf you violate a m’drabbonon, you are actully also violating the Lav of Lo Soser which is m’doraisa.
Right PathMemberI would stay away from any car manufactured by Volkswagen.
Hitler ym”sh was very involved in the design of the Beetle or Volkswagen.
During the war the company used 15,000 forced labors many supplied from the concentration camps.
Check wiki.
Right PathMemberkaykay87: How do you spell it? Its not so clear.
I did a search on google and this is what i got.
There are many possibilitys.
* Elka a form of Elizabeth.
Elizabeth is the Greek form of the Hebrew name Elisheva.
* Elka a variant of Elke (Old German, Yiddish?)
* Elka a Feminine form of ELKANAH (Hebrew)
oomis1105: Reb Moshe Feinstein in Tshuvis does not think like you and your husband.
Personal fealings don’t come in when we deal with Halacha.

Right PathMembergiggle girl: in Yiddish a cow is called a Key.

Right PathMemberThe more logical explanation is, you were a target in the NYPD program called Operation Lucky Bag.
Do a search on google keywords “Operation Lucky Bag”.
Right PathMembera better website is mikledet.com

Right PathMemberShticky Guy: your right about the fact that the kohen gadols clothing dragged along the floor. see Zivachem 18 b.
But who says its taken LeHalalch?
Right PathMemberevery drug has side affects.
Right PathMemberThe speaker better be interesting because if not i suspect a lot of people will be playing around with their phones lol
Right PathMemberIf its only touching the floor and its not being dragged then its a Machlokes Poskem.
Right PathMemberKozov: read the book Larger then Life.
maybe then you’ll understand.

Its just a little hard to understand. The Shem may be visible to the human eye but technically speaking its not realy there.
Its flashing on and off many times a second.
So the Ksav is not a Ksav Hamiskayem

bh18 said that their son has a Ostomy and would like to know more about how to deal with it.
bh18 is right on target as many who have Chrons get a temporary iliostomy. Some people with Chrons get their temporary iliostomy after a resection surgery.
Right PathMemberIf Usage-Based Charging will go into affect then its for sure stealing.

Taking a photograph with a film camera may also be a problem.
On second thought i would think its not a problem.
Taking a picture only creates a chemical change to the photographic film inside the camera.
But no image actuly forms an till the film is developed.
Right PathMemberyehudayona:
Your right. One of the reasons is because of the Greek word for fish is ichthus.
There are others reasons.
One of them has to do with the fact that many of Mattis’s ym”sh Shluchem were fisherman. Till today their Pope wears the Ring of the Fisherman.
As for its Pagon orgins. Do a search on google. I dont think here is the place for their “Shtusem”.
I agree 100 percent with “ales mit cavuneh”
Why dont you ask a Rabbi and clear up this issue for us.
Why “hack” around just ask a Rov for the Truth.
Right PathMemberI wonder how “desperate” your situation realy is.

Can you please post your source. What was his reason for assuring writing Shem Hashem on a computer. Thanks.
What i am writing now is just a bunch of 0’s and 1’s.
As for what appears on your screen its a Ksav Shain Miskayem.
What your looking at right now is actully flashing on and off over 30 times a second.
Acourding to what Sam2 says from Rav Elyashiv (still not confirmed) bringing a tape cassette in to the bathroom should also be Assur.
Whats the difference between the 0’s and 1’s on your harddrive and the magnetic strip of your cassette tape ?
Right PathMemberSam2: Yes. We know the Hexagram was used by the Pagons.
But were is your solid proof that its use in Judaism was only after its use in Paganism.
Have a look at the Sefer Raziel HaMalach. You will see that the Magen Dovid has Kabbalistic meaning (i’ll leave the interpretation for you)
Anyways its not relevant. Because the Fish Symbol has no Jewish meaning.
MiddlePath: Why dont you ask Das Torah.
From me you will only be getting Das “Turah”.
zahavasdad:
“Banning the Iron Cross would be like banning the Plus Sign”
What makes you so sure that a Plus Sign is allowed.
The Greek Cross has all arms of equal length.
