Im a guy and I’ll say again, its completely dishonest. And frankly, when i was dating i would tell the girl pls don’t bother spending the time to put on make up, i want to see you how you are. I think make up belongs on only one type of person, a clown. (And my wife is very happy with my logic because she doesn’t have to spend a ridiculous amount of time and money on the stupid stuff.)

I agree with Z, we just feel like it because we are looking out more for this type of news. Combine that we all those crazies who think they know exactly when moshaich is coming and how they predict that he will come in that current year…every year without fail…and well you definitely get the hype building up in you to think that this year is different.

Fact is the same as always, when bad things happen to us it’s because we are being increasingly worse as a whole. Add in the fact that we are losing so many gedolim (which is actually a sign for moshiach) and soon our level plummets even further. We have only a couple of thousand jews in the entire world that truly can call themselves tzaddikim…out of the 15 or so million jews. It’s no wonder that things seem like they are getting worse and worse…

I’m pretty sure halachically speaking there is absolutely nothing wrong with dating more than one person at a time.

I did it, and only because the first person i was dating was already iffy to me and i wasn’t so sure. Turned down both in the end, but eventually got happily married.

Recommended? Depends on the person, if you think you can handle it go for it. It’s not really that hard, but it does become hard to really try and attach yourself to each other.

Surprised no one mentioned rice…..so easy and quick to make. Rice + fried onions = amazing.

Baked potatoes with herbs, roasted potatoes, couscous(however you spell it), fish, hotdogs…can’t think of more…

I would actually ask a rabbi on this first. The reason is because your date will eventually find out what you look like without makeup. But say you have really thin hair and after marriage the guy finds out that you actually look pretty different. Perhaps not as attractive as you lead him to believe. So really that could invalidate the marriage.

Better ask yourself if you really think its worth fooling the guy over something like this. Many guys won’t care they just want to see YOU as you are – and with good reason. Attraction is important, if you lose that the day after marriage because you had all this fake stuff on you then i can see some troubling times ahead.

you don’t “obviously” need an army if you have even the slightest of trust in Hashem. You do the mitzvos, avoid the aveyros, constantly work on yourself and learn and there is absolutely no chance that you would actually depend on an army to protect you more than Hashem. The only people who would need an army are those who don’t do what they should be doing.

To be honest, most people should be praying that moshiach does not come. Mainly because anyone who is not a true tzaddik is going to perish. It does say that the majority of the world will be destroyed. Kind of like back in egypt, only 1/3rd of the jews made it out. And back then we were far holier people…now imagine jews today….no mass slavery and yet you hardly see people caring about getting closer to Hashem.

So…really…are we really waiting and hoping for him? Maybe, but most of us don’t realize that we are practically asking for our own deaths. This isn’t to say that we shouldn’t hope for moshiach…but hope for him and do tshuva like no tomorrow…because the moment we hear the shofar there is no tomorrow for many of us.
