realtalkMemberAfter eating chocolate your brain activity will spike and then drop even lower.
Are you implying that Im not human?
realtalkMemberI mean besides for me.
realtalkMemberIm born like that- what do you want from me?
realtalkMemberalso if you don’t rinse your conditioner out propely or straighten your hair too much… bye bye hair
realtalkMemberI also have a sleep problem. I get home from work so exhausted and I still have tests to study for. How do I manage it all?
realtalkMembersounds like lack of nutrition- anemia, anorexia…
realtalkMemberIs there anyone out there who actually doesnt like chocolate?
realtalkMemberIm not sure if this counts but there is a midrash that says that each day of creation is correspondant to an era and this era is the fourth day of creation and after year 7000 it will be destroyed and there will be no more people/ worlds. I was never comfortable with that midrash so I dont remember 100%
realtalkMemberwell it can- i know from myself and a medical point of view
realtalkMemberagain check ur vitamin D- coming from north america (im assuming here) u are low in d- having a bit of exposure for your arms face and maybe legs (depending if theyre covered or not and denier of tights) is not enough. Its a simple blood test. Also if ur vit d deficient, ur not absorbing the calcium of which u need 1000 mg daily and that can also be a cause.its worth a try
realtalkMemberyou are not for sure getting enough vitamin d- u shud check that cuz that cud be the problem. you might be getting calcium but as a frum girl, chances are vitamin d is the problem- it was a big part of mine.
realtalkMemberdo you say shema?
realtalkMemberhave you tried exercising in the mornings?
I had the same problem until I started exercising in the mornings?
What about your vitamin d and b12 level?
realtalkMemberbtw, dont know the popeyes, but when i heard salami, balogna- i thought they were saying Salaam,- hello, balogna that we have to do this. not sure if im clear or not
realtalkMemberok- so what do u say about a girl who turns heads or worse even without makeup and dresses really tziunsdig so that it shouldnt happen?
realtalkMemberjust exercising will be enough. I went walking everyday for about an hour and ate what I wanted and lost weight.
realtalkMemberI once gave out a plate with crackers, a scoop of tuna in the middle and a celery stick coming out- all in the shape of a flower and wrote a whole poem with it.
realtalkMemberlove the tape and know it practically by heart
hey everybody here forgot the part:
bigsan, seresh, may I have a glass of water?
no you may not, just go to bed and forget all about it.
realtalkMemberI am lactose intolerant and cant have any milk products. Some people can have more depending on if and how many enzymes your stomach has to digest the sugar in the milk. Some people can have yogurt because the bacteria found inside of it, can help to digest the sugar. There is also an intolerance to the protein in milk and that would mean that you have a problem with eggs. I found that the lactaid pills did not help me, but its possible that it can help other people. There are also probiotics out there that can help with this issue. I have never tried because most have some sort of dairy product in them and if you have a protein intolerance, it may be an issue. I know someone who took probiotics and now has no problem whatsoever.
realtalkMemberdoesnt everybody know what the dates on tu bshvat signify?
the more you eat the more you get.
realtalkMemberdepends how computer savvy he is and if he has a talent for computers.
realtalkMemberObama, keep your change and give us back our money

realtalkMemberHappened in Israel. Guy and girl going out for the first time. They’re waiting by the bus stop when an arab comes up to them.
Arab: Are you hubby and wife?
Boy: Nope
Arab: what are you doing here?
Boy: Meeting
Arab:Are you gonna get engaged?
Second Date:
In hotel lobby, boy goes to the bathroom. Older guy comes over and asks to sit down. Girl: someone’s sitting there. Guy: Well there’s enough room for me too. When boy returned:Lets have a party.
NO there not married.
realtalkMemberI tried that but member was not in blue so it did bot work. Can you help me?
The method described above no longer works. To change your password, click on your username on the top left of any Coffee Room page. (It will say “Welcome, realtalk”, with realtalk being in blue.) Click on realtalk and then follow the instruction given in the comment above.
realtalkMemberno clue because I never had that prob
realtalkMemberI had a problem waking up in the morning and this was regardless of how many hours I would sleep. I had a problem that I could not fall into a deep enough sleep and this was solved by taking melatonin.
realtalkMemberWell you have heard of your first choc hater. If someone makes something with choc I will not eat it!!!!!!
realtalkMemberBP Totty: why did you share that info to us. I am sure your wife would not have wanted. Did you ask her first!?
A lot of times, it is not the boys who want the size zero but their mothers.
realtalkMemberTo the Waldorf salad: I CANNOT have FRUITS or VEGGIES.
5am was an exaggeration its more like 3 and it is because I haven’t eaten anything but lunch and yes I know it is not healthy!
To the suggestions of nuts, Thank you it is perfect!
realtalkMemberI am one of those chocolate haters!
realtalkMemberanon: why do you think I get so hungry?
smartcookie: I try not to use splenda
mybat: I want a light snack- not a meal?
melech: can’t have lettuce
jewish grl: I do have supper later, but it is not an option to go to bed right after- am on a late schedule.
boredstiff: What Am I Supposed To Do When I Am Really Hungry at night.
Thanks peeps, for all your suggestions but I need something light like a veggie but not quite. For ex: I will wake up @ 5am really hungry- What should I eat?
realtalkMemberMost chassidim only go out once for 45 min with the parents in the next room. The parents do a lot of research before hand and it has to get approval with the rebbe. I know a family where some of the kids only went out a few times and some for longer.- all happily married.
For neatfreak- it is not a good idea to go out night after night but rather to have space in between dates in order to think objectively and be able to ask people who are wiser than you, and not to get caught up with infatuation instead of your true match.
realtalkMemberI cannot have fruit veggies or milk products and try and stay away from any extra carbs- what am I supposed to eat when I get hungry?
realtalkMemberI tried to download some of the shiurim onto my mp3 and could quite do it- can someone explain to me how to do it?
realtalkMemberOn Torahanytime there is another amazing shiur by Rabbi Lawrence Keleman called we are never alone- Not normally amazing- everyone should listen to it.
realtalkMemberTo those who said fruit- I am allergic to fruit- what should I have instead.
realtalkMemberYou may be thirsty and not realize it. Your body sends you “hunger” signals and they are really because you are thirsty.
realtalkMemberSomeone I know was eating by her chassan’s house for the first time, and they spoke yiddish. This girl knew next to nothing and could not understand what was happening. Of course when they spoke to her they talked in English but otherwise her chassan had to translate. Anyhow it was on Friday night, and she was clearing the fish course and serving the soup course. She finishes serving the soup and sits down to eat her own soup. She picks up her spoon and the whole family bursts our laughing, and blabbering in Yiddish and she is just sitting stupefied- what did she do wrong? She does not say anything and later on asks her chassan. He explains- his whole family teases her father for being a lefty. When his father saw his son’s kallah eating her fish, he told him- your kallah is also a lefty. Chassan- she is not, watch by the soup she will eat with her right hand. Sure enough she came in and ate with her right and the whole family started laughing. So she explained that she is ambidextrous, and they all had a good laugh- including the kallah.
realtalkMemberThe frum girls did not! But that is what happened. My response was as a response to whoever asked that question.
realtalkMemberI just read the first few comments and felt that a reply was needed. To whoever said, that the boys should mature earlier- hello!!! Girls are bas mitzvah at 12 and boys at 13- there is obviously a reason for it. And physically they mature at an older age than do the girls- there is a reason they are telling the girls to wait- and he did not say to wait until they are older, just till they are 20! That is very reasonable!
realtalkMemberYou took my comment all wrong! Bzayas Apecha is a curse, what originally was meant to happen was that we would sit and learn torah and bask in the shechinah. The more someone works- an 80 hr work week- the more of the curse he is taking upon himself. The only way to throw off the curse is by sitting and learning. No we should not sit idly, but my point was in reference to whoever said something about bzayas apecha. The ladies by wanting to be equal with men- did indeed take a second curse upon themselves. As for Shayvet Zevulun- once the Klalah was there, they had to work and decided to get Schar for it and to also throw it off as much as possible. I heard this from Chashuve Rabbis- but it is not Halachah L’moshe Misinai- and there are 70! different ways to explain things. If you do not like my explanantion, there are 69 others out there!
realtalkMemberFor anyone interested- Halachically the sides have to show Hakaras Hatov- this can even be in the form of a thank you note or a gift. There has to be something given- I have heard stories about couples who did not pay their shadchan anything and had trouble having kids.
realtalkMemberBTW, does anyone know if Ahuva Gray ever got married? I always wondered.
realtalkMemberfan of pd: It is a special privelige of today’s Shayvet Layvi.
realtalkMemberwhat someone said about bzayas apecha tochal lechem- this was a curse and the more someone works, the more “curse” they are bringing on themselves. The way to get rid of the curse completely is by learning in kollel. HOWEVER, this is not an option for everyone, only for the “shevat layvi” of today’s times, and those who cannot manage don’t! Your only harming yourself and your husband. There is nothing to be ashamed of if you can’t- just say you want a ben torah who is working. Also, remember that is should not be looked upon as a something you have to do because everyone is doing it, but rather a very special privilege that not everyone can have.
realtalkMemberYes they got married- but no it is not Ahuva Gray! I was not aware she got married. I made the name up and used that name because of Ahuva. It is not her real name!!!!!!!!!!!!
