Subj: “Le-a”?
How would you pronounce this child’s name: “Le-a”?
Leah?? NO
Lee – A?? NOPE
Lay – a?? NO
Lei?? Guess Again.
It’s pronounced “Ledasha” Oh yes…you read it right.
This child attends a school in Livingston Parish, LA. Her mother is irate because everyone is getting her name wrong. SO, if you see something come across your desk like this please remember to pronounce it correctly. When the mother was asked about the pronunciation of the name, she said “the dash isn’t silent.”
REALISTMemberThe world stands on 3 things:
TORAH (the boy has to learn)
AVODA (the girl has to work)
G”MILAS CHASADIM (the parents have to support)!
REALISTMemberBein Hasdorim, I posted the Pelle Yoetz info for you there.
Check it out and respond, Please.
REALISTMemberKnock-Knock.

Eyes.
Eyes who?
Eyes gonna be yo next President!
REALISTMemberOne thing is worse than not putting the sefer back.
And it leads to much more bittul Torah.
That is returning it to the wrong place on the shelves!
Because nobody looks there for it.
You will look on tables or shtenders but cannot start checking all the shelves.

Sorry it took me soooo long.
It is found at the end of the sefer ‘Pele Yoetz’ UNDER ‘TIKUN’.
PLEASE GO THRU IT AND LET ME KNOW IF IT SOFTENS YOUR POSITION A BIT.

If I can find exactly where it is, I’ll post it for you.
Secondly, when I was planning my daughter’s chasuna, I had the Novominsker Rebbe in my car and discussed the inyan. I mentioned to him this Pela Yoetz also.
He strongly encouraged me to make the wedding within the ‘takana guidelines’, and I will be ‘M’KADESH SHEM SHAMAYIM B’RABIM’.
To which I rep[lied, “Maskim, but it wont be ‘B’rabim!”.
REALISTMemberJUST, OOPS JUST REREAD MY POST, SHOULDA READ 30 YEARS OLDER.
SORRY, MY BAD.
REALISTMemberJUST ME,
I KNOW HIS SON. HE AINT 50 YET.
MR K. SHOULD BE OVER SHIVIM, K”H.
SO WHY WOULD HE STAY AT A COLONY WITH
PEOPLE IN THEIR 20S, 30, AND LOW 40’S?
REALISTMemberQ. What do you get when you cross an agnostic with an insomniac and a dyslexic?
A. Someone who stays up all night wondering if there really is a doG!

He was a strong proponent of takanos. Even in those days it was a problem. After learning it, let me see if you feel the same way.
REALISTMemberHey, Just me,
Nobody bothered Mr. K. too much.
Where would you stay had you been
in his shoes and 30 years younger
than the tenants?
Also owned Fair Oaks.
REALISTMemberIt was named Kaufman Road because the owners of almost the entire road were Norman and David Kaufman and families; Prominent Monticello people. One of them was even Mayor of Monticello for a while. They also owned Kaufman’s Appliances. About 27 years ago the colony was purchased by a frum person, who 3 years ago sold to A. A. lesser from Bobov-48. A lot of the units were sold and rebuilt. I believe the A section has so far remained intact. The Shul building and the indoor pool is gone. Those were the days, my friend…

THE BAAL HA’TORAH TEMIMAH’, IN HIS SEFER ON TEFILA CALLED BORUCH SHEAMAR SAYS THAT THE BRACHA SHOULD BE SAID ALOUD.
THE MICHAS ELUZER AND OTHERS HELD THAT IT SHOULD BE SAID QUIETLY.
WHATEVER ONE DOES – ‘YESH AL MI LISMOCH’, BUT MINHAG HAMAKOM TRUMPS EVERYTHING ELSE.
