I don’t know if you said it or not, but when one says that these are his standards, he is usually implying that this is how he is noheg in halacha. yes standards = halacha.

aries – The reason why is said calvin klien although yes it is a designer was because I didn’t want anyone to jump on me if I were to compare baroni to a no name. On a no name I agree that it is not worth the quality, however I wanted to know what is the difference between a regular designer vs a higher end designer.

bp totty – Well we see that this guy obviously doesn’t got to much $$ to his name, (the fact that he took home the water bottle) so I wouldn’t think he would be able to afford that kind of money for the rental.

mdd – That sounds pretty kroom, Halacha is Halacha – If this is his standards then he should not alter them just “not to make someone feel bad”. Of course he should try to find a different way how not to insult them, but NOT by compromising on halacha.

Sac – The fact that tips are optiomal makes it NOT a chillul hashem if you dont give. These is no reason to look down upon someone that does not tip.
