If in certain parts of the world there is a law that legislates against homosexuality, were there any witnesses and if so, were they reliable?

Does a Jewish person need any of the above mentioned cases? No.

I have mentioned that it is good to contact an Orthodox Rabbi in the closest Orthodox Synagogue (even if that Synagogue is not accessible on Shabbos because of the distance).

I am inserting here a headline form yeshivaworldhews from today:

    (Sunday, September 16th, 2012)

Also quite a few gentiles who worked with Jewish people spoke Yiddish, so that may not be proof that a person is Jewish. An Orthodox Rabbi should be consulted.

The problem occurs because a many laws nowadays permit things that no sane person previously had thought would ever be permitted. This is one of the major reasons that Jewish boys and girls should not become Judges in the secular courts. To enter the legal profession for Jews it is best to do the regular work that is done in a private legal practice, and those legal practitioners can say to any client that there is a conflict of interest if that is the case and that the practitioner for that reason cannot act on their behalf.

A person can get advice over the telephone from an Orthodox Rabbi, just by ringing an Orthodox Synagogue and leaving their name and telephone number .

    Also http://www.partnersintorah.com is good.

Checking the Kashruth guide (Kosher food guide) on the internet is good.

It is all perfectly manageable and lots of people do it because of geographic considerations. And it feels good, really good.

The basics of Judaism are really very simple -just a few small adjustments learned over just a few, literally a few days – not a year in a learning institution, although it can be beautiful-and one is already living as a Jew.

but make sure he is not taking you or your children down the refom conservative path.

Also you may be interested to know the Lubavitcher Rebbe never said he was moshiach, nor did he allow anyone to say that about him. He was a tzaddik, but he was modest and knew the Halacha (jewish Law) principles involved. What happens in the future is still Hashems will.

If the Judge studied and swallowed all the goyish law, learning it and sitting to judge there is no permission for him or her to do either learning or judging nor both, nor would he or she be likely to listen to advice to absent him or herself from the case.

If this would not make any difference because the law is inflexible, just pray.

Free will is given so people can debate and debate proofs, but it is a Hillul Hashem to invite anti-Torah responses from the beginning, or to host them or to disseminate them.

What about Oat Milk in the UHT packs? Some are kosher, but I don’t know if they come in small cups. Does it taste good in coffee or tea?

Most importantly do not spend time or get stuck in the Coffee Room, as I have said before as it could be grounds for divorce or similar- basically it is a modern contradiction what is banned(in herem) but goes on unabated in this very ill-lit area.

That the Torah is from Heaven is just obvious because we established above that The Creator Hashem is able to and did communicate with all of us Jewish people here today and did so as we all stood at the foot of Har Sinai, at Matan Torah.

No more loitering in the Coffee room.

The world would have ceased to exist if Torah was not being studied.

The world would have ceased to exist if Torah was not being studied. No world – no questions.

The additional proof is that many times the world has almost come to an end has v sholom, because of neglect of Torah study – e.g. people with real potential loitering in places like this particular thread in the Coffee Room asking or pretending to ask totally un-called for questions, inviting what comes.

Maybe – no – certainly now with the ongoing emergency for Jewish people we should put our heads into a Sefer and stop musing- but ALL of us. And this is a challange.

Of course any link one goes to, one has to check each reference that it is according to Torah – even a “frum” one like the coffee room has also to be checked all the time – one can’t assume anything and one doesn’t. The best thing is to directly negotiate with a reputable midrasha( that is, all teaching according to Halacha – Orthodox Jewish law) regarding fees or ask if a scholarship situation exists.

Going into such a midrasha it is really almost impossible to control the “environment”-the clothes of the girls, their attitudes in the face of what they are being taught, their behaviour, etc – could be a lottery. Unfortunately some of the “best” midrashot had pictures of the most appalling dress.

Does she have to be a model, being an actress, exposing her body etc.

When she was with her husband did she conform to snius -modesty- as required by the Torah.

Was she reproved by her husband for her dress.

    Did she listen to him.

Did the situation escalate as a result of her actions.

Is it abuse to be reproved by your husband for immodest dress or for immodest behavior.(No)

Is it necessary to make a living from modeling or being an actress.(No and inadvised to do so).

The poskim do not allow women to wear trousers.

Rabbi Ovadia Yosef did not say that women may wear trousers. He allowed a small group of girls to wear trousers temporarily until the girls could find longer, modest skirts to wear-a matter of days.

Takanas Ezra said that women must wear underwear under their skirts just as men do.

Yad Haketana – as quoted in the Darkei Teshuvah 9, and Divrei Chaim vol. 2 s. 62. , also Yabi’a Omer ( this by Rabbi Ovadia Yosef ) ibid – also – NO trousers to be worn by women.

Once again there is nothing lovely in trousers for women, whether brand new , or colorful or old or torn.

I will say it to you in a nice way,Sam 2, your Rebbe’s reason is the Poskim’s reason ,however, you can’t see it just at the moment. The reason women shouldn’t wear trousers is because the Torah says so in several different ways so all Yidden should understand it in a split second.

Sam 2,keep trying – you should succeed. Hope your Shabbos is a good one.

    Sam 2 said:

    A) please, tell me, (other than calling them nasty and immodest), what is wrong Halachically with loose pants?

    B) My Rebbe told me that the reason women can’t wear pants is because it shows the separation of the legs. Which is fine. So I would be uncomfortable saying that a girl can wear even very loose pants.

Shlishi agrees the Poskim are worried about it.You Sam 2 was the one who asked for additional concepts,- but maybe it will help the ones who really want to learn.

A loose pair of pants – even very loose – has the great disadvantage that the contours can be seen when a woman is taking strides – when walking – and can also be seen when standing and when she is seated.

I would say that a man who says that he finds nothing objectionable about a woman in trousers, might be just a little prejudiced.

Again, it is extremely sad to see people making excuses for stupidity -here pants, instead of investing their precious time in figuring out ways to increase love of Torah and a complete willingness to fulfill all its required observances.
