addicted – I am not arguing, Im jujst saying the numbers will decrease over the years. WIY – what are you talking about? “dont talk about quality vs quantity” Why not? Trust me whoever is learning daf yomi will not remeber one drop of what he learned by the next time he opens up a gemarah. It is proven that this is the way the yeshivah system is to learn “slow” Yes Its called beiyun, at least we can come out with a mehalach how to learn up a sugya. Not just reading a page of tehilim and seeing what the artscroll has to comment on it. I guess you never learned bieyun so you dont know, but yes we are learning halacha limaysa and yes we are coming out with something. I dont know where you are getting your sourcecs from please know what the gedolim meant before you pos

I personly think it will only be forh three generations due to the silmple reason that; there will be no $$ left to support the third generation. For example now we have a shver and father supporting, when this yungerman marries off his kids, maybe he will be a Rebbe, Rosh Yeshiva, or have some sort of shteler, not making nearly enough to support himself, how will he manage to support his children!! FOR SURE how will his grandchildern be supported? Thats my personal feeling on this matter, Anyone agree?

Wolf – I agree with you 100% further more it even bothers me when my Rov speaks and people leave to go to a diffrent room to learn because “his learning is more choshuv than what the rov has to say” for sure if they were to open up a sefer in that bm! Ah chutzpah. I’m just waiting for the day that one of these individuals come rov, and see how many people stay to listen to thier droshos! Sac – I disagree with you, there is nothing wrong with learning during a sb if you are bored and are not interested in socializing.

Gifts are always apreciated! They are never excpected (I hope not at least!). However If going just for a meal it depends how close you are ie. family, However it also depends if you go weekly monthly or once in a yoivel!

LAer – I am not saing that there is a pesul in spelling correctly! I am just saying that there is nothing wrong with misspelling words on a simple post. How many times do I have to say this? Spelling wrong on a post is not hypocritcal to making fun of somones english.

LAer – I guess you dont know the diffrence between somone that is not from LA. But me a New Yorker, YES I do see that someone from LA will be more midakdek on english on a simple post. Anyway if you weren’t saying that someone that spells wrong is or similar to a TB then what else were you contrasting?!?!?!

sac – Calm Down, Lwts get this straightend out. I am not trying to twist your words one drop. What I recall from your previous post (tell me if im understanding wrong) You stated that you do watch movies etc. and you are not yeshivish, And you feel that you can also want a husband that is a Ben Torah, and you dont see any stirah (conflict) between the two. *If you are not saying this diregard the rest of the paragraph, and please tell me what you are looking for otherwise* Yes it is a total stirah the two things. Being a ben torah and movies etc. do not go together. Its like fire and water, you will not get anywhere with the two. Tell me if I understand you wrong

LAer – No im not from LA im from NY and I dont put any effort into my spelling on a post that will be seen by a few people. I don’t use spell check on my post for that specific reason. I don’t think anyone these days grow up without useing spell check, yes its takka a nabeach, but no that wont make me a Tuna Bagel.

sac – Do you want your husband to be a ben torah, and also have no problems with him watching movies? That is a total stirah. There is no such thing as being a ben torah and at the same time watch movies. I dont care witch choshuvu person you know that has a tv. It doesn’t make it right. A ben torah is somone that lives a way the torah wants you to. And no the torah does not want us to watch movies or any of the sort. It could be rated the best It makes no diffrence. It is mitamtem the lev and a pure bitul zman. Its Assur Gumer.

Anyone have any good Tuna Bagel stories? I have one, I was in the bank one friday, one teller had left the branch and went cross state to a diffrent branch. In comes the tuna bagel and asks the branch manager “Where is Mel Simon I havent seen him here any longer” The Manager replies – “He was transferred to a diffrent branch” the tuna bagel answers back “You mean to say he EXPIRED from this branch!” The manager replise in laughter no no no expired means to die he did nit die he just moved to a diffrent branch. LOL Can these guys get thier english straight!
