CLEPs work for everything except for the core courses required for your major. It is possible to CLEP all the non-essential courses, but you have to find a college willing to accept so many credits from CLEP tests. I would reccomend Raizel Reit or Sara Schneirer, as these are the 2 colleges that I know about which grant a bachelor’s through mostly CLEP credit. In terms of your core courses, I know someone who is know majoring in OT through Raizel Reit, so she needs to take science courses, and they take approximate one year of Sundays to complete. Hope this was helpful.
potpieMemberDoes anyone know if Queens College accepts CLEP credits? Thanks.

potpieMemberApparently, there’s a long continuation of the poem, I just don’t know it. If anyone does, feel free to post it.
potpieMemberWhat about Camp Sdei Chemed? I think it’s a little expensive though, but then again, all of the camps in Israel are. Additionally, there are the NCSY camps for you to consider.
potpieMemberI asked the wrong question-are there are any Sternberg fans around here? Seems like it!
potpieMemberIf you’re willing to travel to the Five Towns area, Dr. Robert Bruckstein is a good dermatologist.
potpieMemberI see that my request was fulfilled. Thank you so much!
potpieMemberThese are the 3 threads that I know about, although there might be more:

Thank you!
potpieMemberThank you Y.W. Editor. Now, the only question is, is it possible to transfer the camp threads to the camp forum to make them easier to find?

potpieMemberThe phone number is 718-851-7100 extension 215 for Carol Grossman, who handles the applications. When I called on Friday, she was already out for the day, and I was told to call back on Monday. Even though I now have the contact information, I am still interested in knowing the dates of Mishkon’s 2 trips, to see if it is worthwhile for me to apply, or if it conflicts if my other summer job. Thank you.
potpieMemberThanks. As per your instructions, I went to Sternberg’s website, but when I clicked on Mishkon, all I got was ???? for the start and end dates of Mishkon. I’m not referring to Sternberg’s dates, but rather to Mishkon’s, which are different. Does anyone know what they happen to be, and also contact information? Thank you.
potpieMemberDa’s tip regarding “I also just realized that on Windows 7, “Cntrl+Scroll” on the Desktop screen will make the icons get bigger and smaller. The same is true in folders with documents, pictures, icons ect.” also applies to Windows Vista.
January 20, 2010 2:13 am at 2:13 am in reply to: “Paroah in Pajamas in the Middle of the Night” #673056potpieMemberThe next verse is ” Where is Moshe in the middle of the night?” And the next verse might be, though I’m not 100% sure, is “Pharoah ran to Moshe in the middle of the night.” But I can’t remember anything after this.
potpieMemberDoes anyone have any information on the following seminaries: BYA, Seminar, Nachlas, Tiferes, Meohr, and Bnos Chava?
Which ones would you consider to be academice?
Which ones are academic without the pressure (or does this not exist)?
Are there are seminaries that fall into this category that I did not include?
Last question-which seminaries would you say are similar to Meohr? (although I know that Meohr is a unique experience)
Thanks so much for all your anticipated help.
EDITED
potpieMemberIf I want a Bais Yaakov version of Darchei Bina, would you consider that to be Chochmas Lev or some other seminary?
potpieMemberThanks so much, MASHEHUKAZEH.
potpieMemberThanks so much MASHEHUKAZEH. Approximately how many girls are in the seminary?
potpieMemberSo are you saying that Chochmas Lev is just as good a seminary as Darchei Bina and therefore a better fit for me?
potpieMemberTzippi, let me clarify where I stand. I happen to agree with you. I want a working boy. I just want to make sure that Chochmas Lev won’t pressure me into marrying kollel. And I definitely don’t consider myself modern, just realistic!
And what I meant about Darchei Bina girls being modern is that the girls who apply there from my school happen to be very modern. But girls that I know who went to Darchei Bina happened to not be modern at all. And people have been recommending Darchei Bina to me as not so modern, but my friends all think that it is. And I also happen to want a Bais Yaakov seminary. So I’m just trying to clarify which one would be a better fit for me. I think what I really want is advantages of Darchei Bina with frummer girls-could this be a description of Chochmas Lev? I know that Chochmas Lev isn’t as academic as Darchei Bina-but is the academic level close, or are they not comparable?
Thanks so much for all your help, Tzippi.
potpieMemberThank you Tzippi. Do all the Chochmas Lev girls marry kollel boys? And would you consider the Darchei Bina girls to be modern?
theOne, what do you mean when you say that Seminar and BYA are more open? In terms of hashkafos? because that’s not what I had heard.
potpieMemberI don’t know who sings it but I just want to say that I learned this song in Sternberg and I absolutely love it! It’s stunning!
potpieMemberI guess not. So does anyone have any information about Machon Raaya? Thanks a lot!
potpieMemberTzippi, thank you for your reply, I already knew that Darchei Bina was more academic than Chochmas Lev. However, I’ve heard that the girls who go to Darchei Bina are good, solid girls, albeit not Bais Yaakovy. What I really meant to ask was: Do the same type of girls also go to Chochmas Lev? Or does Chochmas Lev attract a different type of girl? Thanks.
In addition, to reiterate: Does anyone have any information on BYA, Seminar, Nachlas, and Tiferes? (I’m more interested in the last 2 but would appreciate info on all 4.)
potpieMemberDoes anyone have any information on the following seminaries: BYA, Seminar, Nachlas, Tiferes, Darchei Bina, and Chochmas Lev? Also, how would you compare the girls who go to Chochmas Lev vs. Darchei Bina? (I’m talking about personality wise rather than “bais yaakov”y.) Thanks.
potpieMemberWhen this post began there were some comments from girls actually in Machon Raaya. Any updates?
