Yups our hick town is hosting the NATO summit. Everyone was told to bring their cows.
postsemgirlMemberGotta second that. Here in the Midwest we have gallon containers of Lamer’s cholov yisroel milk.
postsemgirlMemberSorry Wolf, is there a way to fix it?
I’ll check out that Air Berlin thanks.
postsemgirlMemberLucky ducky
postsemgirlMemberPlease accept my sincere apologies. Side note I think you are very observant to notice that. Or you babysit kids on trampolines too much.
postsemgirlMemberWow I thought you were joking but I was thinking about Pesach when I took my niece and nephews on the trampoline and we were all jumping clockwise! That’s really funny!
postsemgirlMemberSam I was going to say Shmaya and Avtalyon but this is a Tanach trivia thread.
postsemgirlMemberWow. I did not understand every word but I got most of them. That’s amazing. I did not know that. Thanks Sam for sharing!
postsemgirlMemberReally? That is something I did NOT learn in 4th grade.
postsemgirlMemberBinyamin is compared to a wolf by Yaakov in the brachos in parshas Vayechi because he just like in a wolf he will attack in the morning and save his booty to divide in the evening. Same is with Binyamin, he had Shaul who killed out most of Amalek and then Mordechai much later who also killed out Amalek.
That is what I learned in 4th grade.
postsemgirlMemberBoaz was Ivtzan

postsemgirlMemberI’ll root for anyone who beats the Green Bay Packers!
postsemgirlMemberThanks health
postsemgirlMemberhealth – you are right about putting into perspective. But I’m sure she isn’t interested in hearing people say “Hashem loves you, yours is on its way, just hold on, there are people in worse situations.”
I don’t know what is the right thing to say.
Don’t make this about me.
postsemgirlMemberhealth – I’m sure you feel that way but telling her that is like a slap in the face. she wants to feel validated that what she is feeling is normal. When someone breaks a leg they don’t want to be told hey I broke both legs so be happy.
postsemgirlMembershidduch – Let me tell you, people tell you to get over it and it’s been so long already you should just grow up. But you formed an emotional bond with the guy so it’s not going to be easy. As much as people say they know how hard it must be….they don’t unless they’ve been in a similar situation. They say that time heals all. I broke my engagement a few months ago. It’s not easy. I still see his face sometimes when I close my eyes and random things remind me of him. It’s definitely not easy. Give yourself time.
postsemgirlMemberWIY – Segula? I was eating it for lunch cuz I found it in my desk. I didn’t know there was a segula for it? Anyway I was taught that the best segula is to do torah and mitzvos.
postsemgirlMemberlol I’m eating a bubble gum flavored DumDum right now.
postsemgirlMemberMine is definitely coffee flavor! But I haven’t had milchig ice cream in two years. Sadly I can not have it. And pareve ice cream is not worth it.
postsemgirlMemberBP Girl why do you pity Mamashtakah for living in Eretz Yisroel? I pity us for living in America.
postsemgirlMemberYou want snow? Come get it. It’s all over my car. And if that’s not enough. You can have the snow on the unplowed streets as well.
postsemgirlMemberThank you!
I’m not planning on living there. Someone I know is traveling there on business and needs a minyan tomorrow morning.
postsemgirlMemberSam – Thanks! We didn’t learn Gitten in our school.
postsemgirlMemberCrowns were places on Yakkov’s coffin from all the kings who the procession passed. Don’t know how many. Chushim ben Don killed Eisav
postsemgirlMemberBTGuy – google it!
postsemgirlMemberSyag – Alright, but rarely does my house phone get answered. I’m more of a cell phone person.
So it’s just like filing and researching?
I thought about court reporting but I think I would lose my mind just sitting and typing like that all day.
postsemgirlMemberMods – thanks for the quick posting!!!
postsemgirlMemberDon’t know who you are talking about, but thanks.
postsemgirlMembero man! Tell your friend to call me. lol
I wouldn’t know how old your daughter is. I’ve been post sem for a nice couple of years now. Do you know who I am? I mean can you figure it out from my old threads? It might be possible that I don’t know you, no?
postsemgirlMemberParshaman – Hatzlacha with the choice that you make!
postsemgirlMemberI don’t know who that thread is talking about. Now I feel like I’m slow.
postsemgirlMemberMichal said Dovid was degrading himself by dancing in front of the Aron like a servant. Her punishment was she didn’t have children till the day she died.
postsemgirlMemberHow am I supposed to know who you are?
postsemgirlMemberI don’t want to be a lawyer. I want to have something more than a BA so I can maybe work part time and still make enough money to support. Is this possible?
postsemgirlMemberWow. That sounds awesome. Is it really like that?
postsemgirlMemberHis buddies are doing a great job.
postsemgirlMemberyossi z – It is still a great and warm place.
I am what you call a staff kid of skokie yeshiva. It’s definitely not for everyone. The food is much better than other religious institutions.
Go to http://www.htc.edu there are videos and stuff there to check out.
postsemgirlMemberHey I have nothing against New Yorkers, after all I have New York blood. Just saying the makeup of the girls camp has changed.
postsemgirlMemberonegoal- I also live in Chicago. By the girls it used to be nice like that with a lot of out of town kids but now it’s more New Yorky. It’s nice to hear that the boys half is still out of townish.
December 11, 2011 11:37 pm at 11:37 pm in reply to: To open or not to open (the door on a date) #835282postsemgirlMemberIt wasn’t the fact that he opened the door that made me drop him. I just saw that throughout our date he had no answers and everything he said was “because that’s how everyone does it” I’m sorry if I want to marry someone who thinks for himself.
postsemgirlMemberI went there for 7 years. The first 2 weren’t good cuz many girls from my class were in my bunk and I was looking to get away from them. Otherwise it was amazing. I mean I haven’t been there for some years now but when I was there it was great! But it’s definitely not for everyone. I don’t know you so I can’t say if you should go or not.
December 11, 2011 12:53 am at 12:53 am in reply to: To open or not to open (the door on a date) #835254postsemgirlMemberI once asked a boy who I was dating why he opened the door for me and his answer was, “That was what I was told to do and that is what everyone does.” So I said oh otherwise you wouldn’t have and said no. I was really shocked. I said so you live your life and do things just because you were told to and because everyone else does it. He couldn’t answer me. I didn’t date him after that.
postsemgirlMemberbefore I went to sem I asked my LOR if I could wear pink and purple men’s button down shirts because I was having trouble finding tznius ones that were women’s. He said if it buttons the men’s way then no.
In high school this question came up about pajama pants and the Rov said that if they have hearts and flowers on them or if they are pink and girly then girls can wear men’s pants but otherwise no.
This is what I was told.
postsemgirlMemberThank you everyone for your warm wishes. I don’t really feel like I’m part of this room cuz I dont post so often but I do read what other people post. Anyway thank you and a gmar chasima tova to all.
postsemgirlMemberThank you all for your warm wishes. Have a great Yom Tov!
postsemgirlMemberI wasn’t gonna say anything but gumball said it so loud that I had to. I got engaged last week. I hardly post here anymore, but I do watch what is going on. So just wanted to tell you that I got engaged and there is hope!!
postsemgirlMemberlovinghalacha – been there, done that. It’s not a simple thing and it’s certainly not a good feeling.
postsemgirlMemberwell, when I made my account I had just come back from Sem and I was so proud of it. Now though I think I grew up a bit.
postsemgirlMemberon the ball- was the other one Yosef?
