    ??? ?????? ? ????

And I don’t lightly call someone a sonei Hashem. I wouldn’t call most reshaim that. It’s a pretty bad level.

But, Hashem also says that ????? ?? ?????? ?????? ?? ??????. Hashem hates our enemies. So, my simple math, since the NK hate the Jews, Hashem hates them. And since hate goes both ways, we can quite confidently say that they are ????? ?. So we are supposed to hate them.

    hate hate hate.

Wilson was a Cop and Cops are supposed to be trained to deal with and arrest people without killing them. If in fact Wilson’s life was endangered by an unarmed teenager then he was doing something wrong, or was incompetent.

I don’t agree with that premise.

I bet Hashem is just gonna love it. Probably sitting there smiling as you cheer on our murderers.

When I was learning in the Mir, my chavrusah’s wife had the job of reading all of these.

Basically, they paid her 2 shekel per essay to read them and fill out a chart–not unlike PAA’s– that rated the applicant from 1-5 on various metrics.

He used to bring in the, errr, interesting ones, and we’d cackle over them.

Let me teach you something, loser.

The churban bayis rishon also happened because of our aveiros, but you didn’t see Yirmiyah hugging and defending Nevuchadnezar.

The churban bayis sheni also happened because of our aveiros, but you didn’t see rabban yochanan ben zachai hugging and defending Titus.

And you don’t see me defending Hitler.

No, it’s only reshaim from the eirav rav like you who would make that ridiculous jump. You just hate Hashem, and hate the Jews.

And it was your grandparents who made the egel and are the cause of all the galus. It’s no wonder you love galus so much.

There’s a rule in the middle east that “the enemy of my enemy is my friend.”

    Maybe.

But there’s a different rule that applies everywhere: the friend of my enemy is my enemy.

Well, you should ask that “if I hate jews, do I haate myself?”

Which is a cute question, but of course we know it is very possible to hate oneself.

Besides, as discussed, their azus suggests they may be from the eirev rav, so we could easily understand that perhaps the eirev rav hates the bnei avraham yitzchok vyaakov.

What’s my grandparents have to do with it? We aren’t allowed to have laws just because my great great grandparents were immigrants?

And suppose they did sneak in–so now we should just declare the country a free for all?

Only obama could maake such an argument, and only a liberal could believe it.

The reason to quote an excerpt out of context is clearly to defame President Obama and to cause us to thing more poorly of him. I think there may be some d’oraita violations here.

It is not one bit better in that context.

The sheer chutzpah that man has. Read my lips: the violence is from the Palestinian side. All of it with very rare exceptions (the kid this summer).

And exactly what d’oraisa would you be talking about? I can’t think of any.

(Also when you get a chance you should bump your thread about Obama deporting all the illegals as hard as he can.)

in reply to: Westboro baptist church? #1044495

Well, so there are two elements of “frum jew”. Frum, and jew.

I sincerely doubt they are jewish, since they do not display the middos of zerah avraham avinu. They are neither rachmanim nor bayshanim. Instead, they spend most of their time doing achzarius and azus. I have no information regarding chessed, but avraham avinu’s descendants have all 3. Perhaps they are the erev rav? The gra says you can find the erev rav in each generation because they have azus.

As for frum, you say they keep taryag mitzvos. I don’t know if they keep shabbos or not, or if they keep kashrus or not. But I do know they have distanced themselves from the community of the shomrei torah umitzvos, and so should not be surprised to find themselves reciprocally distanced.

I’m not interested in debating the substance. I’ve fallen into that trap before.

You seem genuinely surprised by what I’m saying.

Just how did you think frum jews view NK? Did you think we view them as just another group of frum jews with whom we have some disagreements in hashkafa?

We think they’re a bunch of lunatics who have nothing to do with our community. Basically, the exact same way regular Christian Americans view Westboro Baptist.

    The two are completely different

    That’s true.

Westboro’s vendeta is at least about a real mitzva–albeit blown out of any recognition, while NK’s is stam narishkeitin.

in reply to: Westboro baptist church? #1044475
    popa_bar_abba

I think the more apt comparison is that both pick on one small part of their religion which they then blow out of all context and cause it to subsume their entire religion in a way that seems calculated to offend their coreligionists.
