    poppa bar abba,

I assume that you leave shul on Shabbos Rosh Chodesh while the haftorah is being read.

    …?? ??? ? ????? ????

    ???? ????? ??? ?????…

I’m not sure what you are referring to.

Do women nurse during the haftara on shabbos rosh chodesh? I have never seen this.

Sorry, I don’t think women should be restricted as to where they can nurse.

I don’t think women should be restricted. I generally don’t believe in restricting people.

I just think women should be judicious in exercising their freedoms.

I still cannot get over that women spend their entire day making up new chumros in tznius, on such vague assertions as “it attracts attention”, and then turn around and insist on nursing in public, which is unquestionably worse than most non-tzius things you can do which are not blatantly against halacha.

I was once collecting in Detroit on behalf of a yeshiva.

One house we went to asked if we had the letter from the city. They were the only ones who wanted it.

We didn’t have one, so the guy proceeded to give us a 5 minute speech about how we were disrespecting the city by not having one.

(I have noticed there are two types of people in the world; those who demand respect and those who have respect.)

In any event, at the end of that, he gave us a preprinted check from a stack by the door, telling us that it was made out to the tzedaka committee, and that we must go there to have it cashed.

    It was for $3.

So, what do you think we did with the check?

We gave it to a meshulach.

Most girls don’t go out and buy rugelach.

Yes, that is why the seminaries teach it.

    Let me get this straight.

You are going to Bnos chava, and don’t know when they start.

So you posted this, but hid your real question among the other ones.

So, are you from the midwest, calgary, or overweight?

It was 1000 shares of enron, so I sold them, because I needed the money.

The day before my birthday, enron imploded.

Jewishness has a point. It is mamash a traged that only 15% of Jews, at most, are Torah-observant, according to conservative estimates.

Who cares what the conservative think?

    As for your answer;

Sure, you can read it that maybe he is just tired. But we all know that is not the truth.

As for encouraging: Why did none of them say that she should tell him that she will respect him even if he leaves yeshiva?

    They start after sukkos.

It is a regular seminary. Most of the girls are from the midwest, and calgary, but there are a few from NY also.

The NY ones are usually girls who are a bit overweight so couldn’t get into other seminaries. (Serious business, Lakewood News and Brooklyn Report ranks seminaries by how fast their alumni get married.)

They learn regular seminary stuff, like how to take the bus to geula, and where to buy rugelach, and fro-yo.

When they come back, they usually become either OT, PT, SLP, or RN. But one of them did special ed.

If you go there, can you take my sister a package?

    Whatever.

I don’t know if it’s ok to nurse in public or not, But,

It is much less tzius than most of the things you people rant about on this site.

To wit, it is less tznius than:

    Skirts with a slit,

    wearing red,

    leggings,

    bare calves,

    open toe,

    jean skirts,

    etc.

So I am not going to criticize it, but if you won’t wear a slit skirt (slit below knee), then you probably shouldn’t be nursing in public.

What is wrong with nursing in your seat? It is a pain to go to the bathroom.

When I need a bathroom on a plane, I just put a blanket on my lap, and go in a bottle. No big deal.

I always make sure to not shower for a week before my flight, so that if a girl is sitting next to me, she won’t be interested.

But I usually have a whole row to myself anyway. Dunno why.

Well, if you think it is coming back, that is a valid and healthy reason to be sad. So I would assume it is just a random bad mood.

Think through your day and see if there is anything which is upsetting you. Once you identify it, it is much easier to deal with.

I very strongly suspect the willingness of workers in developing countries to work for far lower wages has a lot more to do with this.

I guess we’ll never know what workers in America are willing to work for.

The minimum wage laws and unions won’t let us find out.

It was a cute scheme in the ’30s to make minimum wage, since the employers needed laborers from America. But with a global economy, it just means the jobs go out of the country.

Maybe minimum wage should only apply to jobs that can’t be exported.

    My version is clearly correct.

The proof is that your version does not make any sense, since the boys and girls could be interchanged in the poem, with the meaning otherwise unchanged.

It is therefore no more clever than simply saying, “you’re stupid.”

I’m sorry you didn’t have a counselor as clever as my friend.

It really is a waste in most cars.

Gas spontaneously combusts under pressure. Depending on the chemical composition, it combusts under different amounts of pressure.

The most significant thing which affects this is the ratio of Octane to Heptane. More Octane means it only combusts under more pressure.

Car engines compress the gas before igniting it. This can cause a problem since if the gas spontaneously combusts before the spark plug sparks, the cylinder fires at the wrong time. This causes bad efficiency, higher emissions, and can cause engine damage if it is really bad.

There are things you can add to the gasoline to make it bear more pressure before combusting. That is why we talk about an “Octane rating.” The Octane rating is the percentage of Octane which is mimiced in the gasoline by adding additives. That is why you can have an Octane rating over 100.

The best additive is lead, but that has been outlawed. (A few more years of lead and nobody would have been smart enough to outlaw it.)

So, the only purpose of buying higher Octane fuel is if your engine compresses the gas in a way that the lower ones will spontaneously combust. Your owner’s manual will give you this information.

Otherwise, you are just wasting money.

    I like this conspiracy theory.

The LSAT is just a big scam run by the LSAC, which brings in lots of money from it.

The schools do it because US News does, and US News does because they are buddy buddy with LSAC.

LSAC can never get caught because they are part of a secret society that the president and congress are part of. The president was brought in from Kenya (where he was born) to run this conspiracy. In fact, the twin towers were knocked down by the cabal in order to make Bush go to war, so that republicans would lose and Obama could come into power. Bush was also part of the conspiracy, but he thought it was so his oil buddies could make money. (he was double crossed.)

PROOF: Notice how almost all politicians did really well on the LSAT. Coincidence? I think not.

I don’t know how anyone would ever know that a specific divorce was done for the wrong reasons, or that any divorces ever are done for the wrong reasons.

Just what reasons would be wrong anyway? Presumably, people only divorce when they are not happy together. I can’t think of any better reason.
