We need a lot more information.

Is he looking to go to a 4 year university full time and get a liberal arts degree and then wonder what he should do with it?

Is he looking to learn almost full time and go to touro 2 nights a week and get an accounting degree in 2 years?

    Is he looking for YU?

Is he looking to live in Brooklyn and go to Brooklyn college and maybe learn part of the day?

Sorry to bust your bubble, but actually Nitzovim-Vayelech are NOT 2 parshiyos joined together!

It’s not my bubble. It is someone else’s and I’m just borrowing it.

So it would really be disingenuous and selfish for them to sing about any current state of happiness.

Can they unilaterally declare a state of happiness? Could the UN help?

Secondly, WHY IN BLAZES SHOULD I THINK HE’S A GUY WHEN HIS NAME IS SEM20?

My Rav (who has 6 daughters) does it. he just leaves the table while they do. He has semicha from Chofetz Chaim.

The roshei yeshiva to do not support this. Perhaps his daughters do this, and he doesn’t think it is worth fighting them over.

Besides, I am sure that chofetz chaim has given smicha to some nutcases. They’ve been around for 75 years, and sometimes that just happens.

    It is as Peacemaker suggests.

The reason we don’t do it, is that it is not our minhag.

The reason we criticize it, is because it is done for feminist reasons.

I agree with OP. Girls are so dumb.

They drive themselves crazy to get into some boy’s yeshiva, and then they don’t even like it.

That is why they should just stay in the kitchen.

Their goal, however much you disagree with their methodologies, is to save Torah Jews’ lives

Oh. “to save torah jews’ lives”?

We only care about saving “torah jews”? And let me guess, the definition of “torah jew” includes agreeing with them?

No, our disagreement is not just about “methodologies”.

“Get out of here you rasha!”

Why the name calling? I understand you disagree, and rightfully so. But is there a reason to call him “rasha”?

Yes, I called him a rasha, because after he told his “inspiring story” about how a NK rodef used his NK creds to save himself from an anti-semitic attack, he glibly told us that if we don’t agree with them, “it is your loss!!”. Which presumably meant that we would be the ones attacked, when we could have saved ourselves by turning against each other.

So I called him a rasha. Yes, suggesting that we turn against each other to save ourselves makes one a rasha. And glibly talking about us getting blown up or stabbed or shot with the line “it is your loss!!”, is quite cruel.

This is making me sick. You are making me sick.

They themselves live in Israel, so that characterization cannot be correct.

Yet, they use it to save themselves from anti-semitic attacks, as skiaddict proudly told us.

Their own argument is that it ingratiates “Torah-True Judaism” with the Arab world, lessening their hatred of us. And can possibly save Jewish lives down the line. Obviously based on your above comments you disagree.

And as I explained to skiaddict above, they purport to do this by focusing the hatred on those of us who live in Israel, which is the largest Jewish population in the world. Basically, they turn on us to save their own skins. Very noble.

It strengthens the arguments against us, since they can say that even some of our people are against us.

And, again, how does that (assistance from NK) equal Jewish deaths?

I will quote my own words above, since you do not appear to have read them.

For example, when we go into gaza to kill the terrorists, the correct way to do it is to go in with overwhelming force. That would not be wrong, or illegal, since they are attacking us. But we don’t, because we are afraid of the worlds opinion.

So our soldiers get killed. And we also can’t do as good of a job, so more of our people get killed in later attacks.

    Is this news to you?

Let me rephrase: How does bad PR generated by NK = Jewish deaths?

It strengthens the arguments against us, since they can say that even some of our people are against us.

Seriously, why do you think NK does it, if not to make a difference?

I don’t know what you are surprised about.

How do they “aid and abet our enemies in murdering us”? I understand they yank people’s chains, but that is quite over the top hyperbole.

Much of our struggle is in PR. We would be able to protect ourselves much better if we didn’t have the world on our throat. These reshaim damage us in the worlds eyes’ since it seems that even some of us agree with them.

So yes, they do aid our enemies in murdering us. No, it is not hyperbole.

Yank our chains? You think we’re playing for monopoly money here? You think this is a fun little debate like you did in grade school over whether they should hunt seals in newfoundland? Welcome to the real world.

What are the hilachos regarding saying loshan hara on them?

I’m afraid to ask this, but I’m more noteh they have a din rodef.

there is a rav yitzchok amnon youtube video that shows how he totally destroys the arguments of a NK follower

The thing is, that the issue is not even when they are right or wrong on the substantive issue of whether there should be a state.

Even if they are right, they are still reshaim gemurim, who aid and abet our enemies in murdering us. Even if it is assur to make a state, it is not yehareg v’al yaavor.

They are a cult. They have made this a spiritual vendetta, and there is no way to reason with them. It is like talking to a Jews for J.
