Mods-I have seen many posts containing loshon hara. I do not think that people realize that speaking about a group in general or a public figure can be considered loshon hara. Also, even those times where for one reason or another, something is permitted to be said, it almost always leads to another person saying something similar in a different circumstance where it IS loshon hara. I think specifically about the chol hmoed Chillul Hashem article and th shabbos switch article in particular as examples of where articles and comments reflect readers’ own opinions about other people. Almost anytime someone discusses someone else, especially in a public forum, it will lead to loshon hara.
