    Rep.Rashida Tlaib, (D) Supports a “one-state solution”-Palestine. Supports BDS
Rep. Ilhan Omar (D) Hopes Allah would awaken people to “the evil doings of Israel.”
Former Rep. Cynthia McKinney (D) boarded a ship trying to break Israe’s military blockade in the waters outside Gaza.
McKinney precedd Rep. Hank Johnson (D) compared Jews in Israel to termites.
Former Rep. Keith Ellison (D), former Nation of Islam spokesman and current Dep. DNC Chairman is friend of Louis Farrakhan and stated that U.S. policy in the Mideast “is governed by what is good or bad through a country of 7 million people”. Guess which country?
Al Sharpton visited the White House over 100 times when Obama was president.
Farakhan who loves Hitler but hates those Jewish termites is normalized in the Dem party, including photo ops with Obama..
Sen. Bernie Sanders (D) honeymooned in the USSR but never condemned its treatment of the Jews. A big fan of former presidential candidate Jesse Jackson (D), he refused to condemn his Hymietown statements. But he did find time to condemn Israel’s military response to Hamas rockets and terror tunnels.
Pres. Bill Clinton (D) and Sen. Hillary Clinton (D) relied on the renowned anti-Israel duo of Max and Sid Blumenthal. Max wrote a book “Goliath, Life and Loathing in Greater Israel”in which he compared to Jews to Nazis numerous times. Talk about self-loathers. Hillary, not to be outdone was photographed kissing Yaser Arafat’s wife, Suha.
We could go on all day. The point is, although we can certainly find plenty of Jew-haters on the right. We do not see them normalized and placed in glorified positions within the party. David Duke is still waiting for his invitation to the White House. To paraphrase the late great Ed Koch, “Jews have got to be crazy” to support the Democrat party

Kashrus supervision aside, I do not eat from DD for a number of reasons including Cholov Yisrael, Pas Palter and Pas Cholov. But that is my hangup. Others can feel free eating there because:

    1. Cholov Yisrael – Rav Moshe, the posek hador permits Cholov Stam. Further, the Har Tzvi says that one can use regular powder milk (the primary dairy ingredient in the donuts)and it is even less of a kulah than the Rama’s kula for cheese and butter.

    2. Pas Palter – Most poskim agree that pas palter is only me-akev during aseres yemai teshuva. Some are more machmir on shabbos but during the week yesh al mi lismoch.

    3. Pas Cholov – If you stay away from the croissants and bagels most poskim are not makpid for pas cholov when eating mezonos. (My posek is.)

And while I don’t eat in these places the mashgichim can and do inspect the stores seven days a week including Pesach. If you think that a store owned by a shomer shabbos is not susceptible to employee (or chas veshalom propreitor shaningans)you are fooling yourself.

    Aryeh 111-

Before he taught at JTS he had taught for several years at Reform’s Hebrew Union College. Does that make him a baal teshuva? BTW, as hard as it may be for some to see, there is a distinct red-line separation between kofrim and misnagdim.

I am sorry you don’t believe that yiddishkeit is the best. My guess is that when you weighed the pros and cons, your experience and logic led you to the conclusion that you would rather exercise other options. You probably do not believe in organized religion. You would probably answer that the thing that chased you away from frumkeit is the behavior and attitude of frum Jews. And you probably did not regularly have enjoyable shabbos seudos at home-maybe good food but probably not a lot of singing, understandable divrei torah and comraderie. How close am I?

Please note, while being frum is of utmost importance, it is heartwarming to hear that you still conduct yourself with the moidesty of a bas melech. I think we can all agree that people are imperfect. But the RBSO is perfect and he continues to love you. Stay connected.

If your property is being damaged and certainly if there is a physical risk of danger due to your neighbor’s encroaching on your property you should immediately dial 311 (in NYC) and file a complaint with the Department of Buildings. If your neighbors complain tell them you relied on a famous Aruch Hashulchan in Choshen Mishpat 388. If there is no danger and you can live with the temporary encroachment I advise that you grin and bear it.
