I like your thinking (smelling?)!

Suggest it in the “Shabbos host gift” thread and invite everyone for a seuda!
phrumMemberBP Totty
I got nibs… is that an invite?

What is hashkafa? What hashkafa do you seek? In what communities do you find do you find such a mindset? If the shaddchan is running into the attitudes you described she is obviously looking in the wrong place for you.

What has been your experience with/approach to dating (and potentially marrying) Baalei Teshuva?
phrumMemberphrumMemberSeems like we have a lot of diverse, earnest and ehrlich Bnei & Banot Torah here – Baruch HaShem!
It’s too bad we can’t come up with a way to get the single ones together for shidduchim!
Shlomozalman
Who do you regard as the Godol HaDor? I’m always looking to discover Gedolim!

phrumMemberWhat if even though they work, their heart and mind and internet browser is in the Coffee Room? (like BP Totty 😀 )
(Seriously, though, good definition and something to which to aspire!)
phrumMemberYanks up 3-0.
Sacrilege – If I had know you were a yankee fan I would have given you an even bigger brucha the other day!
phrumMemberWhom do we get in touch with and how? Did Oomis accept her nomination?
phrumMemberBP Totty
The ywn shidduchim thread was repeatedly removed.
phrumMemberWhy not create a vetted, legitimate, acceptable and approved ywn shadchan whom members could approach voluntarily for appropriate shidduchim?
phrumMemberSacrilege
Trying is all the Aibisher asks of us, and HaShem knows that often that is hard enough. Keep trying and inspiring, know that in the cr on ywn you succeed, and may HaShem bless you on your journey.
phrumMemberSacrilege
On the contrary, you seem like the real thing to me.
phrumMemberSacrilege
Maybe instead of “Yeshivish” you are “Yeshiv-ish”.
I’m Yeshiv-ish, and Chassid-ish, and Litv-ish…
One can tap into the kedusha of many derechs without be completely subsumed by them.
As long as we are all Jewish, baruch HaShem!
phrumMemberToo bad CR readers can’t consider the “ywn shidduchim” thread anymore.
phrumMemberSo, nu? Who’s gonna get this going?
phrumMemberHashemLovesMe – Ken yehi ratzon!
phrumMemberBizrat HaShem, b’sha tova, you will be blessed to experience that at you own shabbos tisch as you share it will your beloved Ezer and ba”h holy kinderlach.
October 17, 2010 6:14 pm at 6:14 pm in reply to: Shidduchim, What do boys look for in a girl? #712691phrumMemberRe yichus, that is the lesson of lech lcha which we just read on shabbos – Avraham Avinu goes out from his father’s house and become the first to proclaim HaShem “Master” of the universe and spread this knowledge across the world despite the fact that his father was a maker of idols. As the Ropshitzer brings in his Zera Kodesh, this shows us that yichus does not diminish our ability to be the highest ovdei HaShem (see also Divrei Hayamim II 17:6).

Adokai Elokeinu

(Okay, HaShem wrote this haiku.)
phrumMemberDavening when one has no kavanah, when one gets no spiritual or emotional or psychological high from davening but yet one still davens anyway just because HaShem commanded so – that is the highest kavanah of all and yehser koach for that!
phrumMemberYoma 54a tells us that we are beloved before HaShem as the love between man and woman. The reference is clearly to romantic love between husband and wife, and our relationship to the Kodesh Barchu is compared to it, not the other way around.
