Was it in any way bittul torah?
Everything that is for the right perpose & needed is Kiyum Hatorah.
peacefullMemberThis thread, I noticed, took a twist. It began with criticizing the “eating” three days, now it twisted to facing the hard work of preparation etc.
Take note at what was the point mentioned, it was to recognize the the benefit & gain of every special Shabbos & Yom Tov Davening & meal.
Those that will like to start a new ad for Aliya discussing the hardships that are involved (without criticizing the actions of Kedusha) gladly go ahead. As we shall all truly crave to go back home to the land that Hashem gave our forefathers.
peacefullMemberGoq & HaLeiVi, he actually did light the candle 3 days earlier. That’s the ?? ?? ????.
peacefullMemberI feel We should say together,
???? ?? ??? ??? ????? ???? ??????.
I also have experienced ???? ?? & we live to learn that ????? is a true ??? ???. He is a ??? ????? & we must drill it into ourselves till that will cause us to crave his closeness
peacefullMemberAn interesting topic. I also know Ehrlich Yidden that hold this Minhug, however, they (probably) weren’t so careful if mistakenly said A Gutten Shabbos on a Friday afternoon, to keep Kidushas Shabbos & Isur Melocha from then on.
I also understand “old man” point, but should have been brought out with more respect towards Torah.
Basicaly said, this is a Hidur / Chumrah in Kidushas Shabbos.
Btw,in a Neder there can be Divorim Sh’blev, if it’s said out in a Loshon of Neder but wasn’t meant so.
peacefullMemberAfter seeing those addicted to coffee, I get a negativity towards the “coffee”
peacefullMemberThere is a Simon in Shulchon Urech that discusses when one shoul devorce, but in general, breaking relationships are like braking lives, it’s not the direction to consider, unless it’s already in the category mentioned in Halacha.
peacefullMemberDon’t you think, if there was a need for one, wouldn’t they have found a Remez for that too??
May 7, 2012 2:01 pm at 2:01 pm in reply to: Do you still get childish impulses to do silly things? #1060076peacefullMemberNothing wrong to have a good humor, it seems that people go back to their childhood when they want to be in that mood of good humor, maybe as they grew up & became more serious they degraded that pleasant good sense of humor, thinking its below their level, they got more involved in trying to build their ego & prestige, therefore now when they seek those good moments of pleasant good humor they feel the need to return back to the childish days
peacefullMemberIs it him or her husband that’s the older or younger one
peacefullMemberWouldn’t it be more proper that your husband should learn with a REAL Gimora, that he can be better involved in his learning & have a broder view of the Sugya around !!
April 30, 2012 10:10 pm at 10:10 pm in reply to: Words from an ex IDF solider for Yom HaZikaron #1163151peacefullMemberI think, if i may, that if we would separate each topic for itself, with honesty, then we would have a lot less disagreements & more Sholom Al Yisroel .
Take for instance those solders that lost their lives for Eretz Yisroel & Am Yisroel , whether or not their intentions were for “Hashem & his Torah” They still lost their lives for Eretz Yisroel & Am Yisroel, they ARE Kidoishim, we’ve heard stories of those that came back in the dreams of others & let them know that they are considered in Oilom Habah as Kidoshim only they couldn’t enjoy their reward since they didn’t have any Zchus of Torah…
On the other hand if you’d like to discuss the intentions of the “Midinah” that doesn’t need much of explanation, it’s defiantly not in any direction of “Hashem & his Torah” . However we can discuss the fact that in-spite to their intentions, Eretz Yisroel did become the home land for Torah & Avodas Hashem.
Now we have another point to discuss, the people of Israel. It’s true that a Jew even a Choloni is still a Jew & will be warm to another Jew including the Charedim too, unless they’re deeply imbittered of the Charadim etc .
peacefullMemberI’d understand that HaLevi is explaining that the celebration at RASHB”I & / or in the honor of RASHB”I prenounces the glory of RASHB”I, therefore the Zchus of RASHB”I does follow to bless & protect those that celebrate in his honor
March 7, 2012 7:48 pm at 7:48 pm in reply to: Memoir called "Unorthodox" and its effect on us #869078peacefullMember@ health:
Back in the days of Sanhedrin, what was the acts & attitudes towards those physical melderers? I’m not saying “these emotional or psychological merderers”. Everyone here just steps up & says what ever their “Daas Am Ha’aretz” tells them with a free will, thinking , well, no one knows who I am anyway so let me release my feelings freely.
The altimate truth is ONLY FROM TORAH. The Daas Torah will be the only respected opinion, ??? ???? ??? ????. Let’s try to focus on what does the Torah teach & tell us. Who is a living existing shame to Hashem & his Torah, put aside our personal emotional pain.
I also notice, people don’t have the patients to read more then just a few words from someone else, too quick, just miss the actual point.
peacefullMemberThe main thing when it comes to Pesach preparations , to try being thought out , organized, it really works.
March 7, 2012 6:54 pm at 6:54 pm in reply to: Memoir called "Unorthodox" and its effect on us #869077peacefullMemberSeems that this thread took a turn, to discuss whether zeeskiet is another woman in Kollel or a quiet Talmid Chochom. He writes if you would know him in real life….
March 2, 2012 7:06 pm at 7:06 pm in reply to: Memoir called "Unorthodox" and its effect on us #869032peacefullMember@ he who calls himself Health.
Interesting to hear that one who may be making a To’us you consider being a” Migaleh Ponim…”
If so, then with that you pronounced yourself as a Migaleh Ponim …
So, please be more Eidel & careful before you attack!
March 2, 2012 6:03 pm at 6:03 pm in reply to: How long it takes alcohol to leave your body… you will be shocked!! #857010peacefullMember@ Halevi. According to the Ram”a there is no Shiur of alcohol- which should put you asleep- it’s the Etzem asleep that’s the Kiyum Hamitzvah.
peacefullMemberSounds to be a little ADHD, continue on that path…..
peacefullMember@ zahasdad: it seems that you didn’t read well what HaLevi wrote. he didn’t intent to make Kulahs, he instead only strengthened it by saying that the reason that those who keep this Chumrah – Halachah is because of early Gedolim such as Rabbenu Bachya & of course the later great Gedolim as the Beit Yosef.
I actually saw one eating sardeans & drinking milk together & he was choking on every sip, etc,
Torah is life.
