Thank you for your post. In fact, we get all relevant newspapers and have seen the ad, but no contact information was included. It is good to know that the Sternberg tradition will live on.
One suggestion. The new owner should make it well known that the camp is opening and that applications will be mailed next month. Perhaps update the website (which tells you to call the old camp office), etc. I know many girls who are making arrangements already for other camps, and Sternberg can ill afford to lose any more campers.
Have a gut voch and thanks for the info.
Out of Town ImaMemberI am well aware of the virtues of the camp (we have been a Sternberg family for years) and agree that, after putting a lot of money into it, it seems illogical to close it down. Nevertheless, the camp office is telling people that they are not the camp office anymore and they are unsure what will be happening with the camp. Our daughter in Eretz Yisrael was told that a girl who called to get a “sup” (Sternberg families understand what that is) application was told the camp is not opening. Granted, these rumors all may turn out to be false, BUT any concrete information from people who actually know the real owner would be helpful. To that end:
Chanie — How do you know applications will be mailed in November? We surely hope you are correct!
