I don’t think that’s true. Car insurance is cheaper for women.

I was told by my kallah teacher to tell my parents right away with the first pregnancy but it’s okay to tell later on with the others since parents are worried at first that about potential fertility problems. I’m actually glad I told my mother right away; this way I had her support when I needed it most.

Daas Yochid- that’s something to discuss with the baby’s doctor, some doctors say that as long as everything is fine you just let the baby sleep. As far as strollers go, I myself have the Britax B-Agile. I’m very happy with it. It pushes easily and folds very easily, overall a good value. I’d say instead of a pack in play to try a portable crib. That way you don’t have to bend down so much to put in and take out the baby, but it doesn’t take up the space of a full crib.

bein_hasdorim- does this apply also to couples who are not compatible? Any couple as long as the husband is not a monster should be able to have a happy marriage as long as the wife is committed… interesting.

WIY is asking an important question. What does she do? In my first year of marriage, my husband and I were both working full time. He insisted that I clean the house. I explained that that was simply out of the question. He insisted that it’s a wife’s job to clean. I asked him to help me and he did. I guess. If you define help the way he did which was taking his socks off the floor and putting them in the hamper, and taking his dirty dishes and putting them in the sink. We went for marriage counseling. After a few counselors explained to him that he was being unreasonable, we finally got cleaning help. It made a huge difference in our marriage. Do yourself a favor and get cleaning help…

There was a woman who was an amazing woman in every respect. People wondered why she had such a difficult life. It wasn’t until she was on her deathbed that she called her sister-in-law to make up with her after a fight that had happened years before, and they hadn’t spoken since.
