I daven shachris and go straight to work from there without having any chances to eat, so I take a granola bar or a yogurt with me to shachris and eat it on my way to work. If you are always hungry or thirsty by before lighting, then make a point of eating before or be a man and sweat it out.

Hamentashen are much better. If you are going to fry a potato don’t shred it, either shred it and bake it (kugel) or make it into fries.

yentingyenta- Megabus just ended a sale that offered free tickets with just a fifty cent reservation fee no matter how many tickets you book. You can go from New York to Chicago and back by going from New York to Cleveland or Detroit, and from there to Chicago. If you choose to fly, take spirit, they have great deals.(There aren’t very many cheap flights on spirit from NY to Chicago until next month though)
Wolf- I don’t know if you noticed the little smiley at the end but I put it there because it was a joke. You mentioned that what you do makes you a menuval, thus stating a not true negative trate of yours, so I thought it would be funny to add the other not true negative trate you stated in another thread. It was a bad joke, I should have refrained. If you were offended I apologize.

Whether or not it is a chessed is irrelevant, if you commit to something you have to do it. In this case the driver committed to pick up mytake at hospital “x” at “x” o’clock, therefor the driver is at fault because she should have been waiting outside at the given time. The driver never committed to pick up mytake without any music or friends, yet anyone who thought for three seconds would have made the normal decision to turn it off or at least ask mytake if s/he minded. The only difference between a chessed ride and a regular ride (carpool, car service) is that you aren’t getting something in return so you have less of a commitment, thus allowing you to call and say that you will be late, as opposed to a car service or carpool where it’s not so nice to call and say you will be late.
I found it a little weird that they were on television. It was a big mistake that they will probably pay for.

There is a talk show host here in Chicago who has a segment of his show called “drunks in the news”. It is a bunch of funny stories that made the news.
Yes it is great, but it depends on if you want to stay for a while or just go up for the day (date, meeting, farher, shopping, etc.) Spirit is great if you are doing what I am, going up for the day, but if you want to take a trip where you will have to bring baggage then you will have to check how much they charge, and calculate it to see if it’s still the good deal it seems like.
Popa- Do you really think Starbucks doesn’t reuse their cups or are you OK with it?:)
