Yea…missed it again. Well I’m three now, kind of starting to feel old. Looking back I see how different life is than when I first joined. A lot has changed. Happy birthday to me.
✡onegoal™ParticipantWhere has onegoal been?
✡onegoal™ParticipantHow about a fist bump?
✡onegoal™ParticipantNO!NO!NO! You got it all wrong! My boss loves me and I’m doing great here, it just happens to be a very dead time in my office. Very soon things will pick up and I will have more than enough to do. I’m completely fine with how it is.
✡onegoal™ParticipantIn my job it is practically pointless to show up if my boss isn’t there. He knows that I normally don’t show up if hes not there and hes fine with that. I can be doing (almost) whatever I want at work as long as I don’t have something to do, but as soon as I do I jump to it.
✡onegoal™ParticipantI got some solid deals. I was out all night and morning just for the thrill of it but picked up some good deals on the way. By the way, anyone who says it’s a waste of money and you can find better deals later, that’s not true. Anything you buy can be flipped for a substantial profit, and if not can be returned. All the doorbusters, are limited and very good deals. The standard black friday deals that you can get without waiting in line for are not so great.
✡onegoal™ParticipantSend up as much cash as possible. The average ATM will give you less than the exchange rate. Give her as much cash as possible, and send with people whenever you can its the best way to get the most ? for your $.
✡onegoal™ParticipantAnything that has to do with shiduchim, lipstick, ladys, Halachah (when nobody knows what they are talking about), different hashkafik veiws, and all other threads that have no purpose, and are immature and stupid.
There are very few threads that I read.

✡onegoal™ParticipantIt all starts somewhere. It may have started years ago but it still started there.
✡onegoal™ParticipantDer Rav- So if your rabbi sees fit, he will get up and tell the world to keep CY. My Rav will tell me what I should or shouldn’t do. I’m glad your Rav says you should keep it, kol hakavod. My Rav and many others say one doesn’t have to keep CY so they aren’t required to. Obviously somebody who isn’t keeping it was told by daas torah that he does not have to which is fine for him. There is no reason to argue about it, you both asked your respective rabbeim and got different answers, therefor you will (hopefully) do as instructed.
✡onegoal™Participantwolf- Hahaha! Love it!
yitayningwut- Lol! I was thinking the exact same thing!
WIY- Who said anything about the guy being single? Nobody said anything about single girls either, but it was implied by the use of the term “girls”.
✡onegoal™ParticipantDer rav- I’m not sure why you are bringing up this CY argument about Rav Moshe’s heter not applying anymore. Who are you to decide that? There are plenty of well respected rabbanim out there who seem to think otherwise. Unless you are some well respected rav (in which case I would retract what I said) you have no right to decide that for others. If your rav thinks so, good go ahead keep it better safe than sorry. I your rav says Chalav Stam is fine go ahead no problem don’t let someone else tell you it’s not. By the way I keep Cholov Yisroel, so this isn’t coming from that point of veiw.
zahavasdad- Both Chicago and Skokie have plenty of Cholov Yisroel available. You must have been staying Down town or something if the travel time was that long. And by the way that is a typical NY comment, the whole world has Cholov Yisroel not just NY. How about LA, Cleavland, Detroit, Milwaukee. I’m pretty sure that them, and many others, have too.
✡onegoal™ParticipantMoski- I’ve tried that many times but it never works. Does it depend on the computer?✈
✡onegoal™ParticipantI like this one particularly.?
✡onegoal™ParticipantIt doesn’t seem to work for me, but i can insert random thing in my posts.✡™
✡onegoal™ParticipantCan I get a subtitle?
✡onegoal™Participant♛ Try this.
✡onegoal™ParticipantI’m in!
July 26, 2012 7:20 pm at 7:20 pm in reply to: News Item: People who hate Mondays are racist. #887857✡onegoal™ParticipantGarfield is a racist. Good to know, I’ll stop reading it.
✡onegoal™ParticipantNo, I’m not sure how you derived that from what I said.
✡onegoal™ParticipantI have heard, although I don’t have a source, that R’ Moshe says you should not wear tzitzis when doing something that will get you all sweaty, such as playing sports.
✡onegoal™Participantpcoz- We just need this to be able to do our hishtadlus.
✡onegoal™Participant147- I have an uncle in Texas who owns many guns and carries one with him all the time. I spoke with him about it a little and he said the because guns are legal, nobody will do anything stupid because they will probably get shot by someone who sees them. If you pull out a gun you are committing suicide. I live in chicago where you can’t carry guns around with you and there are a good 5 deaths a weekend. That doesn’t happen in Texas. Maybe everybody should be allowed to carry a gun, that way we’ll all be safer. The people who are murdering will get the guns regardless, so at least we’ll have one too so that we can defend ourselves.
✡onegoal™ParticipantI made a BBQ yesterday because I grill all the time, what do you know yesterday was the 4th big deal.
✡onegoal™ParticipantHelpful thread. Bump.
July 5, 2012 3:23 pm at 3:23 pm in reply to: What should I pack for seminary year in Israel? #884007✡onegoal™ParticipantI’m a guy so I can’t really give you advice, but I would just bring whatever I would bring to camp just with a little more of everything. I fit all my stuff in 1 suitcase no problem. My second one was just for my linen and stuff I had to bring to my sister there. I suggest you buy linen there (there are plenty of places to buy) because it takes up a ton of space.
✡onegoal™Participantohr chodesh- That point is irrelevant, look where Mattisyahu started.
✡onegoal™ParticipantPBA- How do you have service out there?
April 17, 2012 10:56 am at 10:56 am in reply to: Harav Hagaon R' Chaim Pinchas ZTVK"L!! Please share stories about him #867967✡onegoal™Participant??Sorry it took me so long to get around to posting this but here it is. Moishy- That story about the soap happened with R’ Scheinbers driver, R’ Asa Wittow. R’ Scheinberg asked specificly for Dial brand soap and he picked up a different soap which was also very good for the skin. My dira in yeshiva is right across the street from the Torah Or building. (R’ Scheinberg’s yeshiva) On the night R’ Scheinberg was nifter I got a call from a friend that, as is customary for all Roshei Yeshivos, they were bringing the ?? into the building, and there was a ??? in the building who needed a place to sleep for the night. There were plenty of extra beds in my dira so I got up, got dressed, made a bed and ran out to greet the ?? on the way into the building. I got there just as the chevra kadisha van pulled up and waited for them to carry him into the building. There was a small crowed there at the time, about 30 or 40 people all who were trying to grab hold of the bed the ?? was on to have the zechus of carrying him. R’ scheinberg wrote in his will “if you did not go to the mikva you can’t carry the ??” I hadn’t toveled so I didn’t touch but I watched them bring him into his office. I hung around the yeshiva for a while helping out with preperations for the levaya and was going to go back to my dira and go to sleep. I went back to the Rosh Yeshiva’s office one last time to see if there was anything going on, and just as I got there the door opened and people started going in and saying tehilim. I grabbed a tehilim and stood in the office for a while saying tehilim at the Rosh Yeshivas side. I was there the whole night and at times I was one of 3 people in the office saying tehilim! At about 4:00 I ran to Belz to go to the mikva so I would be able to carry the ?? out. I davened vasikin and at about 8:00 I carried him out to the van to go for the tahara. I was at the levaya and the whole night and day was an experience I will never forget. By the way if you watched the video that was posted by the article on the main page, you probably saw me in it.
✡onegoal™ParticipantJust wanted to throw this in, even though it’s not completely relevent. I am in one of R’ Scheinberg’s zatza”l yeshivos and saw him on a regular basis. Although I never saw them with my own eyes, many of my freinds have seen his techeiles tzitzis. I have a freind who was very close with R’ Scheinberg for the past year, and he told me he has seen them with his own eyes. I have multiple rabeim who married grandchildren or R’ Scheinberg and have also told me that he has at least 1 pair of techeiles tzitzis.
✡onegoal™ParticipantJust saying hi!
✡onegoal™ParticipantLife here is so awesome! Having a great time and learning at once. If anyone is comming bring me somthing. By the way I was at the Kossel the past 4 motzei shabbosim and had you all in mind, espcially supergirl who asked me to.
✡onegoal™ParticipantIsrael is the bomb!!!!!!
(thats probably not the right word to use)
✡onegoal™ParticipantOn my way to the airport!
✡onegoal™ParticipantJust some last minute packing and I’m out of here! Ya I didn’t really pack yet but whatever.
✡onegoal™ParticipantJothar- Which issue were we in?
✡onegoal™Participant20- I have done that before and it was posted anyway, But in the case of the last thing someones identity was at stake, so I wasn’t going to risk it.
✡onegoal™ParticipantYes shticky, but I made a comment before (I will not specify) that I shouldn’t have, but couldn’t get rid of it. If I would have asked the mods to remove it everyone would have realized what I said. So what can I do? I contacted the editor, but to no avail.
✡onegoal™ParticipantDo you think it would be possible to make it so a user can remove any of his posts at any time regardless of how long it’s been since it was posted.
✡onegoal™ParticipantI saw a sheep around here, and guess what? He didn’t have a spleen! Welcome back!
✡onegoal™ParticipantMe thinks popa is an undercover Chicagoan.
✡onegoal™ParticipantMah zeh?
✡onegoal™Participantmusser zoger- No! Bad mistake! I’m the cubs fan!
PrincessEagle- I will bli neder. I’m hoping for the best learning of my life.
✡onegoal™ParticipantPrincessEagle- Thank you! I never realized how much people cared about me here. I’ll daven for princesseagle bas ?????
chocandpatience- Yes, I’m really 16. I never said my age because I was afraid I wouldn’t be taken seriously.
✡onegoal™Participantpopa- I do that every day.
✡onegoal™ParticipantThe Mitzva and obligation for the Menora is to last half hour into the night if not more. In order to fullfill this obligation on Friday night since the Shabbas comes in before night actually starts and we need to light Chanuka candles beforehand it is necessary to have them last longer, usually one and a half hours. Have a Chag sameiach
✡onegoal™ParticipantA yid turns on the fire by both dunkin donuts.
