Hey, you missed my “Welcome Aboard” party!!!
March 23, 2011 10:10 pm at 10:10 pm in reply to: Who Would You Elect as Mayor of Coffeetown #1111005observanteenMemberDaas Yochid
If female is ok, I’d elect mytake, eclipse or redhead (r u still around?)
observanteenMemberI’m dizzy and my eyes are bleary, but…. can’t tear myself away!! :__( Gotta go to SCHOOL tomorrow, DUH. How do you guys COPE with little sleep???
observanteenMembereclipse: lol! Me too! (Oh… I THOUGHT you weren’t around at this hour..)
observanteenMemberWhy don’t you cut them short? Tell them their options (leave a voicemail, call back later etc..) and nicely say GOOD BYE!!
BTW, why are you still carrying daages haparnasa at this time of the night?
observanteenMemberlol! Okay, you go first.
observanteenMemberToo much of anything isn’t good. But I’m addicted anyway…;)
observanteenMemberMy comment:( Oh, never mind. It IS pretty late, y’know, and my comments are getting pretty weird. Just don’t go around quoting me!
observanteenMemberHold it! Which team am I in?? Oh, and what’s the THEME of this “C”olor wa”R”???? Men and Women?
observanteenMemberOkay, okay. You want me outta here, huh? Well, not so fast. You gotta return the geneiva first 😛
observanteenMemberWell,well. THAT’S called stealing:O
EDITED POST:
Isn’t it past your beddybye time?
observanteenMemberSIGH
observanteenMemberWell, this is really very upsetting. I don’t think you should carry a grudge on that person though. She’s been rude and acted senseless. That is totally not your problem. HER behavior was unacceptable. Since you know she was in the wrong, I’d say you should forget abt it and move on. Really, I think you should pity her. She’ll end up suffering from such behavior.
observanteenMemberSender: Yep. This is the price you pay for asking for a subtitle! Been there done that! Just watch out… Some mods can get pretty sweet sometimes…;))
EDITED POST
observanteenMemberYeah. What’s this all abt?! Hey, zees, I thought you were ADDICTED to the CR…;) We’re missin’ ya’ in here!:(
onegoal: I wouldn’t exactly say that was very nice.
observanteenMemberHey, eclipse, chill! You’re doin’ ok. Oh, and please do continue posting “unecessarily”, ok?
observanteenMemberHappy B-Day to you, popa!!
observanteenMember“even if an abuser has not been abused there is something causing him to hurt another person.”
Every person was once mistreated in her/his life. What kind of excuse is this?? There are ppl out there who have BAD MIDDOS. Simple! We all have a million excuses to go OTD, abuse others, make fun of others etc. etc. But we have a Torah. We are Yidden. We cannot do whatever we FEEL like doing. Abusers WILL be held responsible for their actions! Unless of course they’re mentally ill. I’m not exactly sure HOW they’ll be punished, cuz I’m not sure whether they’re doing what they’re doing out of mishugaas or out of cruelty. In any case, I’m not here to say how one should be punished. My point is, we all have challenges. We all have trying times. THIS IS NOT AN EXCUSE TO ABUSE OTHERS.
observanteenMemberAwww… msseeker: you made me blush!
observanteenMemberoomis: lol! Sorry I didn’t “chap”!
observanteenMemberSure… Would you kindly state/ask your question?:)
observanteenMembermischiefmaker: You’re right. But adults are (usually) more mature, and even if they didn’t go through what we do, they can guide us and help us based on their life experience.
observanteenMemberOh, forgot to add. Get ur mommy’s help;))
observanteenMemberHey, s2021 I know what u mean!
March 22, 2011 4:58 am at 4:58 am in reply to: I think of death a lot. Do you? why is it so ignored? #751069observanteenMemberlol! Oh… Is that really true, eclipse?? I hope u don’t suggest I don’t……?
observanteenMembereclipse: Brilliant! Love it!
observanteenMemberSmartcookie: I’m not so sure. Although I didn’t ask a sheila, it does say in the Torah “midvar sheker tirchak”. The “interviewer” does something wrong by interrogating somebody but this doesn’t exactly give you the “go ahead” to “tell a lil lie”. Unless of course you asked a rav.
March 22, 2011 4:19 am at 4:19 am in reply to: I think of death a lot. Do you? why is it so ignored? #751061observanteenMembereclipse: Sure. Yesurim is mechaper on one’s aveiros.
observanteenMemberYoyo: It really takes a lot of time to drive somebody out of your mind. (Especially someone you like) It kinda sticks there and is very hard to get rid of. First of all: It’s absolutely and totally NORMAL. Nothing out of the ordinary. Nevertheless, it’s hard. Oh, it’s TORTURE!! Believe me, I know. I went throught it too. What I found was most helpful, was thinking that it’s just a phase that’ll PASS. Tell yourself it’s ok to miss him – after all he became a part of you! Don’t worry – you won’t miss him forever. IY”H, you’ll have a husband and he’ll be history. Just think of it as any nisoyon. Whenever you think abt him, just let the feeling wash over you, and then think logically. Does it make sense to miss him? Is he worth being missed? Do I really want him to be a part of my life? Then go and distract urself. Go out with friends, go shopping etc.. REMEMBER: DON’T BEAT YOURSELF UP!!! You’re human and you’re going through something real tough and challenging. If you don’t succeed in forgetting abt him today, tell yourself you’ll be doing better tomorrow. Hatzlacha Rabba!!
March 22, 2011 4:05 am at 4:05 am in reply to: I think of death a lot. Do you? why is it so ignored? #751058observanteenMemberDeath isn’t scary. After all, we’ll all die sooner or later. When I was a little kid, I used to beg my mother to die, cuz why wait 80 yrs? B”H, I’m absolutely happy to be alive nowadays, but I’m not SCARED of death. I’m scared of the din vecheshbon I’ll have to give up there. Therefore, I try real hard to make the most out of my life!
observanteenMemberDuh. It takes a bored mod, and a frequent poster. That’s how I got mine…
observanteenMembershrek: lol! you’re in a happy mood today! ok it IS purim after all… (loved ur post abt getting shrekker!:))
observanteenMemberI hope nobody here knows me. Boy, I’d feel terribly uncomfortable posting if there are ppl who do! So, if anybody here knows me… let me know!
observanteenMemberAnybody saying the entire sefer tehillim after chatzos tonight? I plan on doing so (ok… I know I’m pretty young, but still… I don’t think davening for a good shidduch is ever too early). I heard it’s a wonderful segula!
observanteenMemberYoyo: Boy, I’m sooo happy!!! May you have a wonderful life in this zechus!! I greatly admire you! Oh, I know how hard this is – even if my nisoyon isn’t as great as yours. I also feel kinda thrown off when I meet any guy. Keep strong!
seeallside: Wow! You’re amazing. I got so much chizuk from your post. Thank you so much!
observanteenMemberHi there! Our seuda is over, so I sneaked in here to see what I missed. Who else is here?? I won’t have a an extra second to breathe tomorrow, so… simchas purim everyone!!!!
observanteenMembermytake: lol! Same here!!:)
observanteenMemberMaybe. But I must admit that sometimes, we think we know it all, when we really don’t!
observanteenMemberWell, nobody SAID so, but that’s a FACT. First of all, I’m absolutely terrified of drunks. Second, there’s a gazillion things going on at once – and we have to take care of all! Sending the kids to rebbes/teachers, giving/taking mishloach manos… Thirdly, well… I guess it’s the women who end up cleaning the house and dirt of the drunks.
observanteenMemberWait, I won’t teach tomorrow! IF I’ll teach, I’d probably do both. I’d do it in the sefer and teach the yesodos of Yiddishkeit orally – the hashkafa part.
observanteenMemberThanks!! Guess I’m still under mommy’s care…;)
EDITED POST
There are powers above me….now get back to class!!!
observanteenMemberOhhhh. Blea. Yeah, patience is a virtue, but… what have I done to deserve this? And why the glorious mood today? (Y’know what I mean, just don’t want to write it outright cuz you’ll “edit”) Anywayyyy……um..thanks for changing it 5 times;)
EDITED POST
Nighty night, observanteen…tomorrow is another day.
observanteenMemberAgrrr…. c’mon!!! What’s this all about??? I really hope my husband’ll learn! I meant shteiging with my MIDDOS. GET IT?? Besides, why am I ur kappara today (night)??!!:))
EDITED POST
Oh well thank you for elaborating but since your subtitle was changed 5 times today so it is temporarily disabled and you must wait 72 hours for a new one, yw.com policy. Remember patience is a virtue, how many virtuous teenagers do you know?
observanteenMemberMeanie!!!:P
EDITED POST
Come on, I know you love it!!
observanteenMemberWell, I hate to be so fussy, but this is pretty embarrassing. Ok, I’ll stop drey you a kup. Can you give me this – trying to shteig? Sorry again. (Wonder who convinced you to give me a subtitle. I thought you gotta BEG for one…:))
observanteenMemberi am here: It’s not the same. When a woman’s sick or needs medical help a man’s allowed to touch her. But stam to go around pushing women is ill mannered and assur.
observanteenMemberI just didn’t want to be al tifrosh min hatzibur:)
BTW, if ur in the mood, aries asked for one too, and I think she’s older than me, so I guess she’s first…
observanteenMemberOkay, okay! How come you chose me??? (ur definitely in a good mood!)
observanteenMemberOh, boy. I guess one mod’s bored…. Oh, well. Now, pray tell WHY am I too kewl for skewl???? I happen to love to learn!!!!:)
observanteenMemberI remember when I was a little kid, we whent to a hotel where there were a couple of “non-black-hatters”. My mother told me then that they’re great talmidei chachamim (they’re well known). I opened my eyes wide, and was like, “What?! But they don’t even where hats!” The innkeeper heard my comment and he told me something that I’ll never forget. He said, “maidele, I see “black-hatters” coming here, but they’re empty shells. Those guys may not wear what your father does, but those guys are shtarke bochurim!” Al tistakel bakankan…
