skiaddict: Ditto.
WIY: Thank you very much. Actually, I found that exact page earlier last night (before I pos[t]ed this question). Unfortunately, some in the crowd that I’m dealing with are Ultra-Yeshivish (new denomination btw) and contemporary sources, often times, do not carry a lot of weight with them (i.e. some don’t eat foods that [only] have an OU 😉 hechsher).
NYBDMemberPlease help, I’m freeeezing!
NYBDMembertomim tihye: That’s beautiful and very creative!
NYBDMembermikehall12382: Indeed a great point. 🙂
NYBDMembermusicaldignity: the reason the song you were listening to didn’t “sound” Jewish is because there weren’t any trumpets playing (p. s. this is my personal theory).
NYBDMemberWhere is it located?? What sport do you play, soccer; baseball?
NYBDMemberp_b_a: lolololololol

NYBDMembernu, so where did ya send him??
NYBDMemberoh, forgot to mention – ‘charisma’ was for am yisrael chai.
NYBDMemberCharisma!
NYBDMemberNope, actually I never heard of that. Ma-zeh?
NYBDMemberyitzman1: Read my above post.
If Ner is too far and/or too Yeshivish for your bro, consider Yeshiva of New Haven (Connecticut). They have smaller class sizes, put a stronger emphasis on secular studies then many yeshivos and is closer to Flatbush than Ner is.
If theses two don’t fit i don’t have too much more info to help you out with in regards to other yeshivos but perhaps Waterbury is the right place for him.
Good Luck/Hatzlacha Rabba!
NYBDMemberyitayningwut: Ditto! I went to Ner for high school and had an amazing experience, although undoubtedly, it has definitely become a tad more “Yeshivish” since I graduated (as have most yeshivos). IMHO Ner [Y]Israel’s Mechina (Israel Henry Beren High School) is a top notch mesivta and prolly even the top in the United States (overall: learning; midot; academics).
NYBDMemberThanks Lechayims! (am yisrael chai…)
