not IMember
I totally agree with you!
Even their accent drives me nuts!! So cold and ich!
You once started a thread about this. We will close the new one. http://www.theyeshivaworld.com/coffeeroom/topic/buying-german-products-1
And another from 2 years ago: http://www.theyeshivaworld.com/coffeeroom/topic/buying-german-products
not IMemberThanks for sticking up for me Ken Zayn!!
I am not English at all!! Lived here for yrs..
It happens to be that you mentioned Hoover too!!
not IMemberHoover- vaccum
not IMemberI am not sure what the benefit is of such a thread besides to put down a large group of klal Yisroel with no actual basis.
In fact I know many yeshivish ppl, many more modern ppl and you CAN NOT generalize about this!
not IMemberShpitzels are a way of having a second head covering. Shpitzel by definition is actually the thing that goes under the scarf.
Someone mentioned a scarf with hair in the front. That is actually called a “fr-o-nt” must be said with the willi accent. I have a few friends who wear shpitzlech..
We often had conversations about them being more of an eye-sore than a tzniusdik head covering..
not IMemberInteresting, After hearing everyones response you would think that few actually spend the extra bucks on the label..
Doesn’t look like that when you go on the streets..
not IMemberJust like no 2 ppl have the same finger print, they also don’t have the same tongue print!
not IMemberspent
January 9, 2011 5:04 pm at 5:04 pm in reply to: "Please Get Outta Here" and other Polite Rudeness #726923not IMemberDunno.. that is the best under this thread.. but the worst!! Don’t say it if it oculd be offensive!!
not IMemberI wouldn’t mind picking up ppl.. But I am a girl so they wouldn’t come in anyway..
Besides is that really diff than getting into a car of some1 who offers you a ride when he sees you waiting by the bus stop?!
not IMemberDumb- Not especially bright!
my father insists that we say ‘not tall’ instead of short!!.. Not sure if that counts!
not IMemberI remeber flying as a kid, the airlines used to give out stuff for the kids. we once flew around the world and came back with a few decks of cards from the airlines, also backpacks and activity books etc.. Nothing like that exists anymore.. for free!!
not IMemberThere are still ppl that are makpid that they do not receive these shots.. Chassidim are more into it!!
I would give it to my kids without hesitation!! Besides most schools insist that the children be properly immunised before being accepted!!
not IMemberNot only the B11 but the B9 is just as unreliable! And to top it off in the morning there are tons of ppl on it and when it finally turns up it wont let you on!!!
not IMemberMy father and brothers always wore their suit and I never herd them complain..
not IMemberIf you go to Eim v’yeled after the first you will be the youngest one there, probably. Most ppl go to their mothers after the first and some even second! Not an option by me!
not IMemberSlinky and a polo with a zip up sweat shirt. i like to put the hood of the sweat shirt over my face so i could sleep with less noise and light! Also you get col/hot up and down so you could always take off the sweatshirt..
not IMemberGAW. I also saw that.. Comes from an expression with no connection to the show.. Try being a kill joy elsewhere.. Or at least when sort of appropriate!
not IMemberGo Shwekey! If not for his producer- Y. Briskman the Jewish music world would be ‘kaput’. He also produces Shloime Daskal etc!
not IMemberDONT ask if you had a sister/daughter would you consider him..
not IMemberEarlier posters mentioned “low risk..” Can I ask how a person knows?? A person is low risk til something happens that causes them to be high risk! Why wait for something to happen.. I am the youngest and my mother almost didn’t make it through ‘my’ labor.. After the other kids she was fine!! Go figure!!
not IMemberRule #1 when redting shidduchim to friends, NEVER tell them that you are working on a shidduch for them. There is NO reason for them to get excited.. You can tell them you are working on something but not the details!
not IMemberI agree that it is not right.
Not only that, it is SO annoying when ppl use teh express aisle when they have a wagon piled to the top.. Not sure the cheshbon!
not IMemberThat is something that always grates on my nerves!
Perhaps due to the fact that he was behind he was saying it loud so he wouldn’t get confused..
No thanks!
not IMemberYiddish is a holy langauage casue it is a language spoken by the Jews, and Only Jews!Has significance cause used as a hefresh between us and goyim! Is the key to keep us as yidden!
not IMemberJewish source: I was told by someone that they have a minhag to do what the other side wants. period. i think they told it over in R’ Elyashivs name!
not IMemberI think children bring out more of the love. Children are made up of both parents.. Ties them together even closer!
not IMemberHow much do dogs cost these days?
I recall a few thousand, no?
December 30, 2010 3:17 pm at 3:17 pm in reply to: Anyone understand how Mishpacha pulls it off? #722849not IMemberThis goes to show NO ONE is irreplacable!
not IMemberI have one!
not IMemberThanks ICOT. Just passed that on to someone living on a Kollel budget who commutes to work daily!
not IMemberyeah! Wouldn’t want to go bowling with a guy. they would thrash me! Besides it is so noisy with the music playing.. Couldn’t even talk just have fun!
not IMemberYeshivish ppl could be but not necessarily greasy. greasy by definitionm are always yeshivish +!
not IMemberThe same halacha applies during the sefira or three weeks. if the music was not turned on for your enjoyment you may keep listening..
Everyone knows when they go to shoprite they will hear the music. If you forgot that chances are you will forget what you came to buy as well.
Make the decision b4 you go! Or as suggested CYLOR
not IMemberCheck the American Doll thread..
Maybe she is a touch too old but you never know!
not IMemberWorked on Sun, Mon, Tuesday..
Ususally what is a four min walk turned out to be a ten minute work out! Muscles never used let me know all about it!
not IMemberMy father alwys says “it doesn’t matter how many zeros you have. you have to have that 1 in the front.” meaning, Ok to have yichus but need to make the yichus count!
not IMemberSeems like they are trying to attract everyone, satisfying no one!
One article about R Soleveitchik, teh next about Lubavitch and Satmar.. NOt getting many satmerers reading a paper that stresses R S work!
I recomend they work on one niche in Frum society.. But definitely not all!
not IMemberRiverdale and Phillie used to be the tops.. not sure which ones are now!
Times change, types of boys there at the time etc..
not IMemberApparently it has chassidish origin. Something about the “Shin- daleds” out then.
not IMemberWould it be better to marry a woman who is not attractive jsut to regret it later? i know of a couple who got married and she knew that her husband wasn’t all that attracted to her looks.. It wasn’t long before they were divorced! How is she supposed to feel? Don’t do it to her for her and for YOU!
not IMemberWe were just discussing this last week..
My husband was saying that he sees his friends who in yeshiva were skinny now a few sizes bigger! I guess either use ones self contorl or deal with lifes issues!!
not IMemberIn preschool we used to call all the teachers Mrs “Chaya” Miss “Leah”.. goes along what Mod has said!
not IMemberThey must be popular cause all the organisations include it in their Chinese Auctions!!
Wouldn’t buy one for my kids!!
December 23, 2010 3:17 pm at 3:17 pm in reply to: would you go into a shidduch with a boy from a divorced home? #721026not IMemberOften divorces scar the children involved. As long as the children are stable people who have yiras shomayim and middos there would be no reason to say no!
What makes you think that you will get another shvigger.. and besides is it ok to have 2 shvers?
not IMemberThis is something that always bothered my mother. She felt she deserved the respect of being called “Aunt/Tante” and not just plain “sarah.” I don’t think it is so bad if to their face you call them Mrs A but when you speak about them you mention their first name!
not IMember3 pigs
December 22, 2010 6:46 pm at 6:46 pm in reply to: Which Sentence Or Conversation Changed You in Some Way? #720445not IMemberSomeon I didn’t really ahev much to do with told me I always have a positive outlook!

December 22, 2010 5:53 pm at 5:53 pm in reply to: Which Sentence Or Conversation Changed You in Some Way? #720440not IMemberMy life changed when my husband asked the question “Will you marry me?” Didn’t actually phrase it that way but you get the picture!!
