noitallmrParticipant“Even if a guy is sitting in Kollel and not learning – at least he is in a good environment, not on the filthy street….. “
But for how long? How long can I guy stay in Kollel not learning. He’ll go nuts and break. That is when he’ll be on the filthy street in every sense of filthy…
noitallmrParticipantRight Nobody. Seriously though moderator I’d recommend closing this thread before it ends up like the last one about evolution. This is a Yeshiva World, the basics of a person on this website is that he believes in G-D and thinks the evolution, bang, monkeys are all fairy tales.
End of story…
noitallmrParticipantOh please SJSinNYC. This thread was so neutral let it not become a war zone between Joseph & the Rabbi. By the way do you live in Berlin ROB?
November 24, 2008 2:57 pm at 2:57 pm in reply to: A mitzvah for an aveira? or at someone else’s expense? #626725noitallmrParticipantUm SJSinNYC totally zero offense to you or your rov but for a woman to openly shake a man’s hand is most definitely Ossur. The only and i repeat the only heter to touch the opposite gender is accidentally for example in a shop to brush past but to actually shake hands is most certainly forbidden.
I don’t know how he can be matir you to work in a place which is 98% men anyway.

noitallmrParticipantBy the way “dont have internet” just out of curiosity…which model did you buy in the end?
noitallmrParticipantBochrim make the Chasunah period!
noitallmrParticipant“a difference if the woman is in the driver’s seat or the front passenger seat…”
Sure there’s a difference. A woman driving is definitely a lot more attracting then just being in the passenger seat.
I don’t think there’s any problem in woman driving in all issues including Tznius. But it depends what car though. If it’s a flashy colored car or 4 x 4 I think that’s wrong but a normal 5/7 seater car’s fine.
noitallmrParticipantDr. Pepper- Your a genius!
Have you ever taken an I.Q test?????

“noitallmr, I’m confused. Are you saying that one *is required* to allow to his parents to make his life crazy if they choose to do so?”
Most certainly not. But if you have the strength to overcome this really hard Nisayon imagine how much Schar you’d get upstairs…

noitallmrParticipantHa Ha G123…Really great!
A Non-Jew called Jack was sitting next to Yankel on a flight. Mid flight he turns to him and asks him how come the Jews are so clever. Yankel replies “basically it’s very simple we have this amazing herring which we eat that just boosts our IQ tenfold”. “Can I have some please”, asks Jack. “Sure, replies Yankel, but it’s gonna cost you $50”. “Huh $50 for herring? OK if it’s gonna make me clever”…
He buys it and eats. “Um this is great but why so expensive?” asks Jack.
“See it’s already working on you replies Yankel!!!

Well done! That’s the correct answer.
Impressive!!!
noitallmrParticipantRe: Chacham
He is Yashar and is doing what’s right. If he was called Tzaddik maybe you can ask, but Halocho wise he’s perfect!
yashrus20- you owe me one! 🙂

And you who are using the internet without facebook? Are you any better or do you put people below you to boost your own corrupted self-esteem?

noitallmr-
1) Use a magnifying lens and sunlight. – you don’t have a magnifying glass and its a cloudy day.
2) Wait until you get a lighter. – i want it NOW…
3) Call a shadchan, tell him you’re single, and get a match.- You can light a cigarette with a girl???
4) Join a YW thread and wait for an incendiary comment. – 🙂
Keep trying guys…
noitallmrParticipantmw13- way to go…
noitallmrParticipant“noitallmr – one question:
How current is your research?”
Very current. I previously had the Fuji F10 but it was getting a bit stale even though it took phenomenal shots. My sister bought the Fuji F30 when it came out and I was really impressed so I waited for the Fuji 50 & the Fuji F100 which took a lot of research to decide that the F50 is the machine to buy. Yes I’ve checked out the Canon models and although Canon are arguably the King in Pro shooting, when it comes to portable amateur shooting, Fuji is the man.
Buy. You won’t regret it. “Dont have internet” -please post how happy you are after buying the Fuji F50…
noitallmrParticipantSorry just got emotional. Really stunning poem any more?
noitallmrParticipant“genius line about “toiveling with a sheretz in your hand.”
This is an extremely famous line used many times in Yiddishkeit. A lot of Mikvo’os have it stuck up on the wall stating that if you don’t pay it’s as if your toiveling whilst holding a sheretz…
noitallmrParticipantGive Me a Break- I think it’s the Rambam who says that one must keep his Tzitzis outside at all times for various reasons. 1- to remind you of Hashem 2- to be proud you’re a Jew and not try to hide it 3- It’s not Kavod for them to be tucked in.
Come on please make my day and post back that you’ve taken them out your pants…
noitallmrParticipantWhat’s next?
61,52,63,?
54??? Probably isn’t coz that’s too easy.
Do you know me?
I am a man. If Yankel’s son is my son’s father, what relationship am I to Yankel?
My son’s father is me so Yankel is my father.
Come on ICOT…you can do better then that! 🙂
noitallmrParticipantYou take a cigarette out of the box. You don’t have a lighter, flint stones, matches, candle, anyone else near you and no lit cigarettes either. How do you light it?
noitallmrParticipantK Joseph. By the way, how do you manage to post so many comments throughout the day? You seem to have a wide knowledge of Halocho as well so when do you have time to study?
JUST out of curiosity…
noitallmrParticipantBoohoo…
noitallmrParticipantIf you want a portable camera, the best camera for you and I mean this since I’ve done loads of research being an experienced photographer is the Fujifilm F Range. I’d say the Fuji F50 which is an amazing camera, crystal clear pictures and videos and real easy to use.
This is assuming you want a portable and not one of those huge things which you need planning permission for…
noitallmrParticipantRight Joseph. There should be loads more available. I personally never click on the topics just check out what on the homepage of the coffee room.
By the way don’t have internet it’s thread not thred! And if you post on an old one, it should come up on the homepage and people will respond…
noitallmrParticipantRe GMAB:
Personally I’m proud to walk in public places with my Tzitzis right out, Capel on and if a non-jew comments even better, e can all do with a reminder that we are still in Galus and we shouldn’t be too comfortable here. Boruch Hashem I’ve never been started with physically maybe because of my strong and muscular look!!!
noitallmrParticipant1. Your childs Rebbi, Morah, teacher etc.
Sefer for the Rebbi…
2. If you are married what to give your parents
A Shabbos Lamp, digital photo frame…
3. If your child gets therapy in school (ex. speech therapy) – do you give the therapist? What do you suggest?
Something for the kitchen…
4. What would you give your teenage niece or nephew?
Some sort of gadget- camera, ipod etc.
Hope this helped but it obviously depends on your budget and amount willing to pay…
noitallmrParticipantThe shortest Daf (Gemara Text) is Bava Kama 77a. Check it out- two lines…

Regarding Chumros and stuff poeple accept upon themselves or questionable Halachos definitely rely on one’s own Rav and not the junk people post here. But regarding the issue of covered hair & pants you should be directed straight to Mishna Brura (or the Torah for that fact) which clearly states that it i Ossur in every case…

Obviously not when in the bath which is simply impossible but every other time most definitely yes. Even sleeping one has to wear a head covering but if it slips off in the middle of the night it’s an Oinus (nothing you can do about it) and it’s OK.
