The principal did not say that the girl’s cannot wear high tops, she only said they can’t wear to school. (Read OP comment). So I am not sure what you mean about doing something different behind her back.
You differentiation between girls in charedi schools vs mo is inot factual in the least. One would wonder whether you have met girls who went to any schools.

It seems reasonable for a school to have a dress code. Perhaps this is a newish item (I don’t know, my daughters only wore after an injury) so the dress code was updated.

Rav Feivel Cohen is a most certainly a “Senior” Posek. R Elyashiv used to refer shailos in America to him. And he lives in Lakewood.
And apparently what he said is that this is a matter for a Beis Din.
I don’t think he said what the Beis Din should pasken.
I am guessing Rav Feivel was asked by people who live in Pine River Village, which is right across from the proposed mall and is also where Rav Feivel lives.
The Rockland Jewish Federation and the Rockland Board of Rabbi’s both protested the article. Neither is in anyway affiliated with the Orthodox community in Rockland to put it mildly.

Her concerns were that they are building this mall almost immediately opposite where she lives.
I will acknowledge that I did not listen to every word that the woman said. But I do know what the sentiments and frustrations of the people who live in that area are.
SO yes, she is worried about a mall opening across the street from her and that will result in her grandkids “playing” in the mall “parking” lot. Which will extend to the front of her house because of all the resulting congestion.

The issue is that right in the middle of a very congested area there are plans to develop a huge mall (50 acres, with almost 900 parking slots. 13 large stores). The infra structure cannot support so much additional traffic. It is not just off a major highway. It is off of two lane through streets. Or something like CIA for Cedarbridge.
The original plan was for corporate buildings, which would not generate nearly the same volume of traffic.

In addition, the stores that will be at the mall are likely big box stores and will impact the Jewish stores.

It appears that according to a certain poster here, that because he peruses the internet all day, the lessons taught to us by Chazal, about what we have to understand from tragedies, do not apply any more. The internet has made Chazal no longer applicable.

Expanding on Avram in MD’s post, if one feel drawn to search Google for natural disasters and tragedies, the appropriate response to becoming aware of these events would be take them to heart and have at a minimum a hirhur of teshuva.
It should not , C’V, be used as reason to say “these are regularly occurring, thus it is clear that Hashem does not send messages to Klal Yisroel”
I do not profess to know why certain occurrences happen, however, a hirhur of teshuva is certainly appropriate for everyone, as it says “Ein Tzadik Bo’oretz Asher Yaseh Tov V’loh Yechtah.”

But you are saying that these are everyday occurrences, and not messages! What type of messages do you want us to get? They are unfortunately messages arlready that tear at the hearts of normal feeling Jews. Oy how much harsher messages do you want us to get?

I have seen the notification on B&H’s website on Erev Shabbos saying that you only have “x” amount of time left to place the order. This is a paraphrase, however it was clear that they were closing down the order module for Shabbos.
They also post notices on their web site and in the store well before Yom Tov that they will be closed.
